This place isn't fancy, it's even a bowling alley. But their food - oh so yummy! We are somewhere else but I had to have dessert from here. I picked up a huge slice of Crunchy Strawberry cake. Not sweet just creamy and light. The crunchy outside is just right to give it that dessert sweet. The slice is so big I had to put it in the fridge for part 2.

Absolutely bodied the food. We had the mixed plate (loco moco + spicy shrimp, kalbi + spicy shrimp). The kalbi was the best we’ve ever had. Service was simple and efficient. The perfect meal to end our short stay on Oahu.

Overall a decent restaurant. The bakery deserves 5 stars, the crunch cakes are amazing. However, the rest of the food is merely acceptable. I’ve gotten fries from here before and they tasted very underseasoned. I also catered their “Bento B” from them. For the price of $17 per bento the amount of food in each was underwhelming. The tasty chicken was fine but the fried fish was, again, underseasoned. I didn’t think that the beef was supposed to be kalbi at first—it looked and tasted like normal teri beef.@Elon get out of here, L&L is amazing.

Excellent food for the price, maybe the best value on Oahu. Specializes in Hawaiian plates/bowls and oxtail soup. It is in a bowling alley and can be noisy depending on when you go.

The food is delicious and great quality. We have family gatherings several times a year and we have catered from several restaurants but this is our favorite restaurant. The food is delicious and the quality of the food is very good. Also they have the best prices and they give a lot of food. We usually order a pan of the tasty chicken, a pan of the fried noodles, a pan of the kalbe, a pan of the fish, a pan of the shoyu pork, and a pan of the hamburger steak with gravy.

TASTY CHICKEN 10/10. New lanes are lovely, the food side could use an update. Always very busy but service is fast and friendly.

I was a bit surprised to find out how cold it got on Valentine's Day. It didn't take me long to sort of figure out where I wanted to go to eat lunch at. So...it landed me at The Alley in Aiea. I've heard a lot about this place, especially how it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri and Man Finds Food with Adam Richman. I was tempted to figure out what I wanted to eat. Between the Tasty Chicken and the Oxtail Soup, it was hard trying to decide what sounded good to eat right then and there. Since the weather played a large part in the decision, I decided to order their Oxtail Soup. From first glance, I was perhaps intrigued in wondering what the experience was going to be like. I haven't ordered something that was expensive for lunch before, but...decided that this would be that time. I really liked what was presented to me after it came out. They definitely put out a lot of Oxtail on my portion. But for what it was worth in terms of price, I'd say that is worth it. What I liked about their Oxtail Soup...was the depth of flavor built around it. The multitude of flavors really were hitting on all cylinders. And the ponzu sauce? WOW...I could get a small container of that and be happy with it...because it's so addictive, and the flavor jives well with the Oxtail. My takeaway from that experience was how good the food was and how great of an atmosphere it was. I did manage to take some dessert home for the family to enjoy. Maybe next time, I'll try to come and eat their tasty chicken.

My wife and I always have an awesome experience here. The Alley has always been one of our 1st stops after a long flight from FL. Last time we were here last summer and the food quality, taste, & service has been on point. Finally took photos this visit before devouring their famous oxtail soup, tasty chicken, & boneless short ribs. Makes me wish we could live here again
