“Stop here when in Hilo. We've been here twice, both times enjoyed their one-pound Lau Lau. Lau Lau is a Hawaiian specialty you should try at least once when in Hawaii, and it's not on a lot of menus. Take advantage of this great, local diner to learn the joys of Lau Lau.“
“Koji's locomoco goes way back, past 60+ years for me, and in my book is the king of locomoco back then and still now. Koji's locomoco menu still holds true over the passage of time and if it is not broken then why change. Koji's newer creation of delightful specialty treats appear over the counter wall which is a must try. One in particular that caught me off guard is Koji's breakfast burger. It is a gem of a treat that brings about a whole new taste to burgers that may catch you too off guard and wanting for more.“
“Loco Moco was like a thin hamburger steak spread under omelet rice (because it was scrambled).Steak plate is a good food for children to eat.Comes with 2 steaks (smoky flavor) + rice + potato salad, no sauce on the meat. There is no dining area, but there are tables and chairs outside where you can eat even if it rains.“

“We found this little spot for breakfast while exploring our first morning in town. We met Patty who owns it with her family. We loved the scriptures posted on the walls, the take out boxes and window. We had a delightful conversation with her while we waited on our food. This is a window where you order and pick up food. There is a bench outside but no other seating.“
“We've gone for breakfast twice this last week and once for dinner. I'm sure we'll go again at least a couple times before our vacation ends. The omelets are huge, we could easily share but haven't yet because they're so good. We get the bacon and ham omelet and sizzling prime rib hash browns with eggs over easy.“
“Open late, which is rare around Hilo. The burger bowls are excellent. I had the Nacho Burger Bowl, my wife had the Caprese. Both were great. I'm not sure why prior reviews were u happy with service, we had prompt seating and good service throughout the meal. Very reasonably priced by Hawaii standards.Parking: Street parking, not a lot of spaces close by.“
“We came for a quick snack and left with 2 huge meals and happy bellies! The sundae that comes with the Martian Meal is the perfect size and packed full of flavor and quality. The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The food really hit the spot!“
“As of 02/23/24 "no refills on drinks", this is something that I usually factor into the price. They were friendly about it but I didn't see it in advance. They just have a note that the machines are down, nothing saying they can't refill them behind the registers like restaurants typically do when self refills are not available.“
“Long time resident of Honolulu checking in… this place is amazing, perfect poke, all fresh caught and never frozen, and their lechon loco moco was top tier!!! I’m a sucker for lechon and theirs was crispy and delicious!! Worth stopping by whether you’re shopping at the Market or not“
