“I am not one that gives reviews out easily, but when the food is really great and sticks in my mind wanting more, I enjoy letting others know how good it was too! I enjoy a good fancy papaya salad with the avocados, tomatoes, and delicious mixed nuts. I've tried papaya salad many places, but this is absolutely the best I have had! It's always fresh, crunchy and so delicious with just the right amount of spiciness! I find myself looking ahead on my calendar to see which weekend I have off so that I can go get one! Way to go Ou's, thank you for your great service and such tasty food!“
“I loved it!! The spice level is way better than a lot of other places I went to and was actually spicy. There were many vegetable in the Pad See Ew which we appreciated and the service was pretty quick. :)) Place is a little hard to find, we almost missed it, but glad we found it. We came in with low expectations and left with big smiles! ?“
“We ate at the Thai Smile food truck last night. It was very good! The leftovers today were just as good. I definitely recommend trying this. The shrimp popped off the tails easily. The flavor was amazing, with enough sauce and rice to get the most out of every bite.“
“Small cute local Thai fusion restaurant with amazing food and delicious handmade lilikoi juice. We have been a number of times and the food is always fresh and full of flavour. The summer rolls with huge, beautiful avo chunks and fresh mint are the perfect starter. The Tom Kah soup is a cup creamy coconut goodness with perfectly cooked asperagus spears and beautiful chunks of soft squash and hearts of palm. Mouthwatering. The green papaya salad is delightful. Recommend medium or mild spice level. The food is satisfying, flavorful, and wonderful to share. So many dishes to try when we return. Thankyou thankyou thankyou!“
“A great counter-serve place to grab some lunch after stopping by the farmer's market.Food always comes served hot and fresh, with great flavor. Always love myself a zingy plate of curry noodles--I recommend to ask for spice! Reasonable prices compared with many Hilo places serving the same cuisine. Can have a few minutes' wait at busy hours, but is well-worth it...Enjoy the murals and artwork in the shared dining area.?????“
“I went one afternoon with my family. This is a great little spot to check out! Really enjoyed the food! The Pad Thai was a wonderful balance of tomato-y and peanut-y. The service was good, if a little slow. It's a neat spot right across the street from the “
“Usually, pumpkin curry is not part of my order at Thai restaurants but after Nuang Mai, I want it every single day!!! ? wow it was the most delicious dish!We also got the fried rice and changed the chicken & shrimp for pineapple and it was amazing.Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be made with tofu or veggies.Dietary restrictions: As always with Thai food, lots of gluten free and vegetarian!Parking: Lots of free street parking in hilo!Wheelchair accessibility: No problem with wheelchairs entering.“
“We ordered basil fried rice (veg n tofu) and yellow curry (veg n tofu) with brown rice because yellow is the only curry that has no shrimp paste. The food was good and portions were generous.3 stars for service is because I feel the staff was not very enthusiastic, did not gave me a welcoming feeling.“
“Nice friendly service. Clean restaurant convenient to Downtown Hilo. Had the Coconut Chicken soup and the Pad Thai chicken noodles. Both were good. Also had the Thai ice tea and was good. I would recommend ? this restaurant for good Thai food. Close to the Hilo open product market so you could take care of your produce shopping while having lunch. This restaurant is not very crowded as we were the only customers at 11 am Monday.“
“This restaurant was so good that I decided to start writing Google Reviews - the world needs to know how great this place is. We stayed in Hilo for 5 days and ate here twice. Every single thing we ate was excellent. Our most well-traveled group member decreed this as the best Thai food he’s ever had in America. The curry was spectacular - especially the green curry, the masaman curry, and the red pineapple curry. We also enjoyed the pad Thai, coconut soup, green papaya salad, spring rolls, Thai tea, and mango sticky rice. You really can’t go wrong!Ohi and Lotus were so kind; they even gave us recommendations for local activities as we were waiting for our food. It sounds like they grow most of their vegetables or buy them at local farmer’s markets. Everything tasted so fresh! If you like Thai food, you will love this place.Vegetarian options: Tofu as an option for most dishes“
