“Fantastic farm tour! This is the second farm we visited and by far the friendliest, most interesting and most knowledgeable. The knowledge and passion of our guide, Kay, really shone through. All in all, a great afternoon out.”
“My Husband and I received a private tour with Kona Earth’s Farm. Steve and Joanie are wonderful! They tailored the entire tour to our preference, it was incredibly informative, fun and personal! It was like enjoying an afternoon with two friends all while enjoying the scenery, process and coffee! Steve and Joanie go above and beyond not to mention their dog, Tickle, made the experience that much more enjoyable! The coffee and chocolate were incredible…talk about farm to table! Will definitely will be purchasing Kona Earth coffee again and hope to visit the farm again!”
“The Craig and Leslie Lee have an amazing coffee farm. We acquired so much knowledge about coffee farming in Kona. The coffee is simply exquisite! We went to purchase coffee for my husband and Leslie gave us a mini tour. She also fixed us a cup of her medium roast coffee.. it's to die for!!! I'm not a coffee drinker, but now I have become one! These owners are truly passionate about the coffee they grow and are very conscious about the environment and how they produce the coffee. You can see why they always place first in coffee competitions!! We purchased coffee to take back home to the mainland .”
“The croissant is like in France, no kidding. I also loved the sourdough seed bread. My banana bread is better, but I liked that they used spelt in theirs. They open to the public 1 day a week, Wednesday at 2:00. Be late and you go hungry! Now I have to keep track of the day of week…”
“I stop by every time I go to Hawaii Island.Drinking coffee at a shop with a nice view is the best. This time, I bought some wonderful and delicious coffee that was made with the couple's smiling faces. It's a little hidden away, but Google Maps will guide you correctly.Don't forget to check the opening hours on the homepage!”
“It's a happy experience. It is a farm that gives good memories and happiness. It was a well-known farm from before. It was closed for a while and then reopened.Park in the parking lot next to the main road.As you walk down, you can take pictures that you really like.On a well-maintained farmThere are many trees with fruit hanging on them, so you can pick them yourself if you want.If you go downstairs, a farm worker will cut the fruit for you, so you can taste the fruit straight from the tree (free).andThere's a really pretty background with grass, so let's sit down for a while and have a cup of coffee.Let's take a picture and rest for a while.I have visited many farms and drank coffee. The coffee tastes quite good here.If you want good coffee, this is the place. It's made straight from the farm.It should not be compared with coffee sold commercially. The people working are also very friendly. It is a place where nothing is lacking. If you have childrenA must-try experience for newlywedsIt must be a place. There is a shuttle to go up to the parking lot.You can climb up comfortably. We are prepared with even the most detailed care.thanks.Note: There is a sign in the parking lot that says it costs $5.This is good for donation purposes.Or... feel free.(It’s not a waste to give it)”
“I rented a car and went as soon as it opened. There were 3 staff members and only one was Japanese, but all of them, including the non-Japanese staff, could speak Japanese, so communication was not a problem.I was able to sample 3 types of coffee and purchase my favorite coffee. The chocolate sample was delicious, so I bought it as well. Be sure to eat ice cream.Although I did not participate in the tour where you can experience roasting, there was an area where you could freely walk around the coffee farm and there were few other tourists, so I was able to enjoy the tour in a relaxed manner. The way to get to this place was like walking down a narrow road for a while and then suddenly coming out, but the parking lot wasn't too narrow, so it was a good thing.January 25, 2024Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp when entering the store”
“Most stop in Kona. I learned a lot from Caroline. She showed us how they roasted the coffee and we sampled 6 cups of drum, organic, roasted and organic and coconut coffee. We also sampled the honey, spicy chili and Hawaiian jam paste. In addition, we sampled the chocolate pea berry which was delicious!”

“Taco Salad is a must try. Chile Relleno had an amazing egg to chile ratio with ooey gooey cheese. The taco salad is a must. Chile Relleno had an amazing egg to chili ratio with gooey cheese”
“All in all, this place is great, granted some days are better than others, it's hawaii you got to have some patience some days, but the breakfast burritos are bomb. Pastries are great to!”
“Honestly not too bad of a place to eat!If you wanna keep it simple but delicious, this is the place. My s/o had gotten the local kine (rice with over easy egg and added kalua pork).I had gotten the avocado toast. Not what I expected it to be... but it was DELICIOUS. shared some with the family and it was so so good. Grateful to have it.There's around 3 tables for seating right infront outside of the shop, and there's more seating around the corner. If you're visiting, it is an easy walk from alii drive, good place for a meal.Parking: We got lucky and there was already ONE open spot for parking. But if you turn left you could be squished into a small parking lot area, right is a rehab or gym area so it's a lot of movement. The shop has a few 15 min loading zone spots directly infront of it.As we left quite a few cars came in and I could see how difficult it could be to grab a parking spot. There is street parking as well.”
“I cant recommend them enough. I placed a big order for my wedding. Not only were they so easy to work with and accommodating, but the donuts were out of this world amazing! Thank you sooooo much!!! Mahalo! ❤️”
“We came straight from the airport to visit Randy! By far the best and most affordable food, we ate the whole trip we were there. It was so delicious and they also have other vendors like veggies, fruits and sweets there on site. Amazing!!!”
“We stopped in when we were on vacation just to try different things, and the lady in charge was very helpful letting me try different types and flavors of coffee. My wife really loved the frappe she made her and I was impressed enough to buy 2lbs of decaf Kona for my parents and a pound of pea berry for me. I had everything shipped home which they made very easy. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Next time we’re in Kona we will be there.”
“This is a great spot for a casual dinner and if you are lucky enough to get a spot outside to eat, you will have a great view of the ocean and sunset. Had the spicy pork tacos which were delicious, just wish a little spicier and the sauce it comes with on the side isn't a spicy sauce at all, reminded me more of a salad dressing so I wish I would've substituted it with a spicer version. But nonetheless the atmosphere and service was great and would definitely come back.”
“Flew over from Oahu to check out Journey Cafe. Not disappointed. Delicious food, nice ambiance, location could be better-like OAHU! Please come to our island! And bring the vegan ice cream SO ONO!”
“Great view with excellent food & service. One of my favorite places to go when I visit Kona. Highly recommend saving room when you eat to enjoy the excellent Liliko’I Cheesecake.”
“We found this on a whim and it did not disappoint! We got fish and chips with their pineapple coleslaw which was SO GOOD. The people there were also so sweet and helpful!”
“Some of the best Poke on the island. Was recommended to us by a local and glad we stopped by! This is a takeout spot only but there but around the corner of the building they have 3 picnic tables with umbrellas and trash bins for you to eat there.Parking: Street Parking only”
“I love this place. They have the most incredible fish tacos I’ve ever had. The food here has so much flavor. The mango sauce is spicy and delicious. Can’t wait to continue to bring my family to this awesome food truck.”
“We tried the chicken katsu, the wontons, the smoked pork, and the spicy furikake karagi. The katsu had such a good crunch, the wontons were filled with smoked meat and the flavor of the wontons themselves was mildly sweet. The smoked pork was tender and juicy with a very nice smoky flavor. The atmosphere was very casual, and the place seemed to be owned by a lovely family. Would recommend.”
“Was visiting from California and felt like a pizza. Nice surprise. Great pizza and awesome dragon fruit margaritas. Liked it so much we went back a second night. Met the owner and enjoyed our conversation with her.”
“Excellent!! Traveling around Kona and the west island, this is a bit of a smaller town find. If you’re not sure you’ll be in the area, I’d recommend making the detour to ensure a stop! This place was featured on Guy’s Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives TV show and we totally get why. Easily our favorite lunch on the west side of the island. We enjoyed one of the burgers, some shrimp & ono curry, as well as the lilikoi lemonade. IMO the soup of the day - some sausage chowder- was the ultimate star. Could eat that by the gallon. All of it was fabulous. Even the ketchup… special and tasty. Buy a bottle to take home!Servers were busy and still made sure to take good care of you, too. Rounded out the experience nicely.”
“We came by twice but only got gelato once because there was such a long line. This is not to complain. This is to say that the gelato is THAT good. I got a scoop of the tom kha along with the lilikoi cream and it may have been the best frozen dessert experience of my life. It's like what I always hope ice cream will be but rarely is. You should definitely believe the hype. Gypsea Gelato is THAT GOOD.”
“Awesome burgers. Just absolutely delicious. Very kind, polite and welcoming staff. Great environment. Very friendly. You can tell the employees have fun and enjoy their job!”
“Fresh fish, really tasty food. There is a reason this place is so well rated. Had a real good lunch. Not much seating available, so more of a takeout kinda of place.”
“Not only were these some of the nicest people we interacted with in all of Hawaii, but the food was excellent.Coffee: Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew is light on the sweet, good for someone who doesn’t want dessert coffee. But the Ube White Mocha Cold Brew is the shining star for me.Food: The bagels here are really hearty, but if you want something a little sweeter, the Chia Pudding cup was fantastic.Other: Some of the coolest tshirt designs I’ve seen at any store.”
“Ever since I discovered this restaurant, I have been in love. The workers are so kind and definitely remind me of my own family. The food is so good that I try to come atleast once a month to support the business. Highly recommend!!”
“Easily one of my favorite☕️spots. The staff are always helpful and kind — even great at suggesting new drinks to take you out of your comfort zone! Everything I’ve had has been amazing: spicy honey latte (iced AND hot), cold brew, a lemon/mocha specialty drink with coconut cold foam (SO yum) and the pour over, of course. I grab a bag of beans occasionally for a gift but also just to enjoy at home. [Don’t be in a rush, stay and sip awhile.] Mahalo for being a wonderful local roaster!?”
