I attended a baby shower for my nephew and his wife, who flew in from CA. My other nephew and his family (who live in Maui) hosted the party for about 30 family members in a private room upstairs. We wanted a quiet place to dine and catch up after many years of being away. We had 2 California Bentos and a combination nishime and tonkatsu. We all enjoyed and had fabulous time. Our servers were excellent at refilling the hot tea, and water. The ambience is great for conversation and the pretty Gyotaku prints are lovely to look at.
My husband and I frequent Gyotaku's Aina Haina location. It's like a family restaurant and you can always count on good food and service. Recently, we organized a group dinner for at the Gyotaku on S. King Street. Again, the food did not disappoint. We had Misoyaki Salmon and Teriyaki Chicken.
