It's like walking back in time! From the retro decor to service to food. You can tell that it is still with care and compassion. They treat you as if you were a recurring regular. Food is that "retro" cooking as if it came from grandma. Nothing modern, no deconstructed this or that, just food with care and compassion out of the kitchen. With that neighborly service.
The original pancake house in Kalihi has been around for decades. The aunties are quick and the service is excellent. As soon as we put in our order, coffee was served. We got our food shortly after. I love my omelettes here and stick to the spinach or mushroom omelettes. The pancakes come in a short and tall stack. If you like your pancakes thin get the dollar pancakes. It's good simple classic food with the sweetest service. Happy yelping!
