“Ordered take-out from here, and it was amazing. I got their Italian sub and my husband got their meatball sub - sharing a side of fries. Everything smelled amazing there! Their fries were a classic crinkle cut - hot, salty, and delish! Their Italian sub had all the flavors of a New York Italian sub. I absolutely loved it (my husband is from New York so I know a good Italian sub!). He really enjoyed the meatball sub too! Wish they were closer to where we live because this would be our regular spot! The employees were welcoming and nice too. Highly recommend.“
“I cannot say enough amazing things about this restaurant. The Catupiry cheese something I have never tasted before and it's out of this world. The dough is exquisite and it's slightly fermented so it's not too heavy in your belly. The dessert pizzas are so good and also unlike anything I have ever eaten. The restaurant has amazing ambiance and the service was great too. Do yourself a favor and try the Brazilian style pizza when you're in Waikiki. They'be even imported the pizza oven. It's something special.“
“I love me a good sandwich! I'm not too well-versed in Italian authencity but Bocconcino was so fresh and filling that I would love to come back again and try their other selections. It's a small shop where they sell deli meats, pasta, wines, and other ingredients. I love that they have a covered designated eating area next door -- the convenience! The pictures fooled me because it didn't look too big until I held the Bolognese in my hand...I'm so glad my friend and I shared it because there was no way I could finish it all in one sitting. However, we also ordered the Prosciutto Arugula Pizza and I was struggling to take a bite because of the sandwich. Depiste being full, I loved everything and wouldn't mind coming back again! The wait can be pretty long so it's highly recommended to participate in their online ordering system. They have a couple stalls in front but we parked at Whole Foods and walked over“
“Fantastic! We had the calamari , tagliatelle alla bolognese and tagliatelle pomodoro e crème con gamberetti! Fantastic choice with a generous portion! Our server was Randy and he was fantastic! Aran info is our go to Italian restaurant and we go there frequently, never have been disappointed!“
“Neapolitan style pizza in Honolulu. Recommend reservations before you go. Order the meatballs - you won’t be disappointed!!!Service is excellent. Waitstaff are always kind, personable and professional.Parking in the area is suspect. Your best bet, Uber over. Trying to find parking in the area on a Saturday night - good luck.Parking: Best bet is to Uber to avoid the aggravation.“
“Got introduce to this pizza place by the wife and when around the airport area or work around the area it was a must in getting me that Kanaka pizza and garlic cheese balls the food there is awesome can't complain and the service there to is cool. Take out or eat in either way to enjoy some pizza from Big Kahunas one thing I miss is there shakes not to sure if they still makes them but I always had a mix Oreo with Mac nut shake hands down favorite hope to visit soon maybe this weekend“
“Stopped by for lunch after hiking Diamond Head & it hit the spot. We ordered the $20 lunch combo which included a pasta & choice of appetizer or dessert. I picked the linguine with meatballs & tiramisu. My bf picked a salad with his combo. All the dishes were absolutely delicious! The Mediterranean salad was very fresh.“
“Great atmosphere and service! Typical beers for an Irish bar, but being from NY, it's definitely not NY Pizza. Too thin, flimsy, and small, but it tastes great and it's nice having the option downtown. Excited for st paddy's day!“
“Best vegan pizza on the island hands down! The owner and the team are all vegans as well and are great people to talk to. The restaurant has a very chill environment with outside and inside seating. Everything and I mean Everything from the dough to the cheese to the toppings is made in house definitely making vegan replacements is tough, but they have pulled it off. The salads were awesome definitely recommend while waiting for the pizza! Also the cheesecake is great! Definitely our go to dinner spot on the weekends we love the vegan food and chill atmosphere here!“
“The shop is at the bottom of the hotel, it's pretty small from what I remember, but what a great way to start the day!We tried different pastry shops for malasada, and honestly, they were all really good. Some probably a little better than others, but it's hard to pinpoint a noticeable difference.I think I actually like those more than I like regular donuts. The flavors are different too.“
“Hidden gem! We ordered a pepperoni, a margherita, and half-cheese half-sausage pizza and loved it. Crust is New York style, great red sauce and quality toppings. Staff is super friendly. No indoor seating, so be prepared to take it to your place or the park. As tourists we ate it in the back of our truck! Thank you for the great eats ‘ili’ili!“
“Pretty decent food the evening we went! Great friendly service with live music. The restaurant had no windows so it could be a little dim. I feel like it could use a bit more decor to make add more warmth to it. My favorite items there were the mud pie and surf and turf. The filet mignon was very tender and juicy and the lobster was delectable. We also tried their escargot, foie gras, duck breast. The escargot could use a bit more herbs, the foie gras was mostly fat and not much liver, not very good quality, and the duck breast was cooked almost like in Cantonese style? Too much hoisin sauce for me. Overall nice evening to celebrate my birthday in a small, local restaurant.“
“Food was good (when in Oahu, it’s hard to find as good quality we’ve found so we’re comparing this place to other Oahu places- not mainland). They use San Marzano tomatoes so the sauces are that good true Italian flavor.Portions are okay, and cost is high, but so is the island in general. It was SO LOUD and kind of crammed inside so don’t expect to be able to have a quiet table conversation. It’s as loud as a cafeteria. Our waiter was such an amazing person and was very helpful. We would eat here again for sure!“
“Stopped in to watch March Madness and cheer for Duke. Visiting from NC. Ordered off the happy hour menu. The crispy rice and spicy was super fantastic. Also, really enjoyed the beer menu. Ryan, was super helpful. Will absolutely come here again when we visit Hawaii. I highly highly highly recommend this place.“
“Me and my wife wish we would've found this place sooner! They are hands down the best pizza on the island. Whether you want a whole pie or just want to stop in to grab a quick slice they do it! We ended up ordering a pizza to go after eating in because it was so good!“
“This is strictly take-out, but boy, they do it well. Talk about yummy! Any one of the lasagna options are my favorite. We order from here regularly, and I have to say I have never (knock on wood) had a sub-par meal. I daydream about this food I love it so much. Service is on point, place is clean, food is great and prices won't give you sticker shock. Try it out. I dare you.“
“Et al is one of our go-to spots for brunch on Oahu. The food is so fresh and delicious. My husband loves their eggs with Portuguese sausage. I had the omelette with spinach, mushrooms and creamy cheese. It's oh so good. Their iced latte is also to-die-for. So good!“
“TIME OF MY LIFE!! I recently went to Moko kitchen with a group of ladies. A girls night out if you will, we had such an amazing time. The food at Moku was really really good. I did, however not so much like the potstickers. I guess they’re made with a specific type of pork that wasn’t for me. However, the mushroom pizza and the pumpkin ravioli were really great. The cocktails we had a bit on the expensive side, but they were really good and also very pretty. The restaurants atmosphere is awesome. It is a little loud like the music was really loud. Maybe it was just that particular night. The overall price of the restaurant is a little on the expensive side, but not overpriced. Overall, the experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you had the time.“
“There is so much I could say about this place. The pizza was awesome. We had the margarita pizza and a pepperoni pizza with the thin crust and the cheese. It was so tasty. The staff was so friendly and nice. The owner was so courteous and did anything that you needed it and got you anything that you need it. Would recommend this place to anybody. They accompany us on a big party and just went out of the way to make our experience unforgettable. Can’t wait to go back. I’ll have to travel all the way from Las Vegas just to go eat that wonderful pizza again. So if you’re in Hawaii, this is the place to go great food, Pizza and beer“
“This place has fantastic New York style pizza! I had a quick pick-up order after a busy day of traveling. I was so impressed that I ordered more pizzas for my family the following week during our 2 week visit. The sauce is so good! Very harty and doesn't taste like cheap, canned sauce. Very rich tomato taste. The crust was cooked perfectly with no gum line. The outter cornicione was not burnt, airy and pleasant. The cheese stayed on the crust well, classic mozzarella that you would expect.I ordered 3 pizzas during my stay, the quality of meats used for the pepperoni and sausage were high, and not too greasy. Our spinach, garlic, and mushroom pizza had fresh tasting ingredients as well.Pricing is very reasonable, all their pizzas come in 1 size - very large 19", and can feed 3 hungry adults. With their pizzas being around $30, that's only $10 per person. I can't speak to the customer service or atmosphere inside because my friend picked up the pizzas.Overall, Boston's Pizza Hawaii Kai is a top spot to try if you're wanting great pizza!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian toppings available“
“Firstly, it's been awhile since I've been to La Pizza Rina. Secondly, i vaguely recall their pizza, which I had once. Lastly, they provide vegetarian options ( only a few ) other than a cheese pizza. I dined in once several years ago - small dining area with around 10 tables - but have had takeout the last 3-4 times I have patronized this local small business. There is parking behind, I believe, but I have only utilized the metered street stalls. Ordered takeaway pizza on this last occasion. Got it within the wait time quoted. Small cheese pizza. Not exactly a classic NY pie but it was alright. I have had a couple of pasta dishes and antipasto and if I recall correctly, I did enjoy all of the aforementioned.“
“We bought 2 sticky buns, 2 round sweet pecan pastries, and 2 savory croissants. Both the sweet pastries were excellent and the savory croissants were very crispy after putting it in the oven for 3 minutes. Not a lot of filling but good. Great prices 2 for $5 but I had to take away one star for the very arrogant rude service by the server dude with the beard. We waited in line and iso wanting to serve an elderly he wanted to help the young gal behind us so i mentioned to him we have been waiting in line. From that point on, he did not even want to make eye contact with us and he was rude to us. We asked him for the price and instead of just saying 2 for $5, he pointed to a sign with the prices and rolled his eyes. Shame on this young man with the beard for not displaying hawaiian friendliness.“
“High tea escapades with my girlies continue -- we were trying to get a booking at the Halekulani for our next get-together, but the available times didn't match our schedule. With the less than stellar reviews of some other places, we opted to make our own high tea fixings! I had some of the petite scones from Fendu a couple years back when a colleague brought them for the office. I've never seen petite scones before and wasn't expecting much from this cute square shaped pastry. It was literally super buttery but not greasy, didn't have too much crumble which would compromise the integrity of the rest of the scone I had not bitten into, and the flavor was amazing even without extra accoutrements. Based on that one experience, I decided my contribution to high tea was to buy macarons from another shop and some pastries and scones from Fendu. I opted for 8 petite scones, 4 of the mango and 4 cranberry. 3 cakes, the white chocolate mango mousse, guava strawberry cheesecake (rose shape), and the Valrohna raspberry milk chocolate "Apo". Additional pastries - the lychee Danish tart, pear tart, and 2 black forest ham and cheese croissants. Scones - perfection! Mango and raspberry had little bits of dried fruit in the scone, so the bread itself isn't necessarily fruit flavored. The girls commented that these scones could be one of the best they've had, ever. Cakes - the majority favorite was the white chocolate mango mousse. I personally preferred the guava strawberry cheesecake. We all agreed the cakes were lighter than them seemed, and didn't make us feel guilty. Not as sweet as we expected, which is a great thing! Raspberry chocolate was okay too, but not spectacular. I divvyed up the tarts for the girls to take home but took the ham and cheese pastries for my father. It didn't seem like it suited his taste. I wish I tried the lychee Danish and will try to go back for a bite. Prices aren't cheap at this bakery, but alot of Manoa residents were in and out (bakery located at the back lot of Manoa Marketplace) the entire time I was there. The breakfast sandwiches, paninis and home baked breads seem to be very popular here. The sandwiches smelled amazing and were reasonably priced. I would definitely make the trip to the valley to get scones! Maybe pick up a sandwich and a danish.“
“Italian restaurant taken to us by a local ?They say this restaurant is 40 years old! I am even more pleased to hear that it is now run by a Korean owner who used to be a chef. The gnocchi came in a unique tomato sauce, and it was tastier than I expected! It wasn't greasy and blended really well with the other menu items. The food overall feels very healthy. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is really comfortable. Highly recommended!! ?“
“I absolutely fell in love with this bar from the get go. The location, amazing. The food, spectacular. The staff, friendly fun and total sweethearts. Although all the staff I got to meet were awesome, shout out to Nikki specifically. She made me feel welcome from the first time I walked in the door. Her cocktail menu is delicious and not at all what I had expected from a bar tucked into an alley. Her attention to detail and attentiveness you all the patrons is excellent. I would hire her any day of the week.“
“We ate for 2 for under $50 with cocktails! That's a hard find on the strip. There are multiple restaurants in the food hall. It's located on the 3rd floor of the shopping center. We tried Potama, Burger Wiki Wiki, and Five Star Shrimp. I was really impressed by Potama, for $5 this is definitely a bang for your buck type of meal! The seaweed one had a sweet and savory umami flavor that I loved. The garlic shrimp was amazing and for only $15.5 you really can't beat the price. There are other restaurants in the food hall so I'll definitely be back before the end of my trip.“
“Not sure why this joint isn't on Yelp, but happy I get to introduce it. It's a speakeasy above the kaka'ako Aloha Beer that's open only Fridays and Saturdays. They serve a selection of the popular beers from downstairs as well as craft cocktails. The cocktails are mostly classics such as painkiller, old fashioned, paper plane, with some of their own like the aloha. What sets this place apart is how well each drink is made. It's order at the bar and find your own seating type of place so don't be shy and make friends in the lounge seating enclaves. Be friendly with an aloha spirit like the bar staff so no worries sista/brah.Love the dark and gothic ambiance, but not sure what to think of the fairy tail looking reindeer over the stage/fire except that I found it funny once told it wasn't real. There's valet or self parking next to the place and the fee is reduced with validation. If you're really overzealous you can visit Aloha Beer until 11 pm and come up here til midnight.Only recommendation I’d have is to improve the ice. They use regular ice versus large cubes or balls. Regular ice melts too fast, especially on the island.“
“Abusy, busy, busy place! It took a bite to get a table, but it's a Friday night in a tourist town. The manager greeted me with a sincere, friendly smile. He was running a smooth "ship". My server got me my pizza super fast. I just wish I had told her, crispy or well done. The pizza still tasted good. (Fresh ingredients)The whole crew was doing a fantastic job during a very busy, humid dinner rush.“
“Amazing service and delicious pastries! the two women working were so sweet and friendly. they gave me recs of their favorite pastries as well as added an extra shot of their strong expresso! they also gave me a sample of their guava pastry which was soooo tasty“
“By far the best pizza on the island! The pizza was glossed with a nice mozzarella glaise but wasn't too overwhelming for the palate. A perfect balancing act if I do say myself. I have ventured into many establishments through years that have claimed to "perfect the pizza". However, Pizza Pie is truly unrivaled in their culinary skills. Compliments to chef! I was also amazed by the hospitality on display. The staff was phenomenonal! My server, Blake, went above and beyond. He was constantly checking in and made sure I felt welcomed. Pizza Pie is second to none!“
“We had lunch on the terrace. Enjoy Italian food under the blue skies of Oahu. There is also a Japanese menu. The staff was smiling and friendly, and even took photos for me.The food was delicious and plentiful, and we took the leftovers to go.“
“TL;DR Very good (but not quite amazing) pizza. La Bomba pizza = ONO Funghi pizza = ONO Cannibale pizza = ONO ----- My family lives right across the street from Manoa Marketplace, so we were very excited to here that Aroma Italia (AI) was coming to town. We had enjoyed the catering of the Monsarrat location a couple times and were looking forward to having a pizza joint nearby. I believe that last time Manoa had dedicated pizza restaurant was when Boston's Pizza was located at the now Serg's. Enough chit chat. Let's get to the review. We've ordered from AI three times now and have enjoyed every meal. Is this the best pizza in the world? Of course not. But it's solid. Our favorite pizzas are the La Bomba, the Funghi , and the Cannibale. We've also had the Pollo Pesto Caprese (decent - I'm just not a huge fan of pesto sauce on my pizza) and the Garlic Pink Scampi (very good flavor, but very little shrimp). We ordered the Caesar Salad, which was alright, but they provided the tiniest portion of dressing; it was not nearly enough to dress all the lettuce provided. Apparently they typically provide two dressing containers, so perhaps they just forgot one of ours. We probably won't order another salad. Hopefully in the future they expand their menu to include pastas.“
“$10 Charcuterie!? I'm in!I saw this place on Instagram, offering $10 Charcuterie Days on random Fridays, so as soon as I saw the post announcing the date, i gathered my food-loving friends and we made our way downtown (walking fast, faces pass). We got there 20 minutes early and were the fourth people on line. By opening time, the line was out the door and stayed that way for last least an hour. They have a variety of items to choose from like cheeses, meats, pastas, salads, etc. and they'll keep refilling it as needed for the duration of the buffet, and you can go back as many times as you want. Everything we tried was delicious, and it's a great way to sample different things. They also sell groceries (cheeses, snacks, olives, truffle oil, etc.) straight from Italy.“
“I haven't been to a club ish bar in such a while, but it was my first time here. I like how at a certain time, a dj got set up, and music started bumpin. The dance floor got filled up pretty quickly and it got packed. There was no entrance fee the night we came, and they had some pupus and drinks to order. Seating was very limited in the main entrance area due to it being turned into a dance floor, but there were private areas available and an outdoor area. It was pretty cool, and I wouldn't mind coming by again for an occasion.“
“Saturday night we swung by Magoo's while walking in Kaimuki. Since I don't get much time off work to sit down and decompress, it was a breath of fresh air to find a spot that I can simply sit down, order a pizza, drinks and relax. We sat outside and ordered a pepperoni pizza and were treated by a gentleman whom I am regretting remembering his name. He was an excellent host, server, bartender, cashier... A man of many hats we shall call him. Thanks for accommodating an excellent night out.“
“Best pizza on the island! Focaccia sandwiches are amazing as well. Chef owner is dedicated and very responsive. Support local business! Convenient location a block from Nimitz in a former custom glass company. You can admire the beautiful stained glass windows while you're there.“
“Today on Saturday night, 12:00am midnight, Dec 17th, an Asian elder delivery man open the door for me with respect and amazing customer service. Also, there was a tall white man in the back and he was wearing a mask and looked like he might have long curly hair but he was extremely nice as well. These guys genuinely made my night because usually I always get the cold shoulder from everyone in general. Thank you dominos for having such excellent workers. Find these men and give them a raise. The Asian gentleman drives a white Nissan Altima. My name is Alex Chang and I phone-ordered spinach feta cheese sticks with Fanta orange. Thank you guys.Give them my thanks.“
“The storefront and seating are clean, uncrowded, and comfortably cool. The Philly cheese steak sandwich had a nice couch to it, the cheese had a great pull, and it was deliciously satisfying. I will definitely go here again when I'm in the area“
“A local community gem that has been serving great pizza for decades. Parking is available for pick up, just have to time it right. One size makes it easy. Good options available for toppings. And the best is their quality and taste........so delicious!“
“Stopped at Lewers Street Pizza & Ice Cream for a snack after some drinks and dancing at Kikis Upstairs. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the ice cream was so good! I got the ube flavor and it definitely hit the spot for the late-night sweets craving. The smell of pizza was tempting me as I saw people walking away with some, will have to come back and try it! Honestly, the perfect combo is grabbing a late dinner at The Pupu House, going to Kikis Upstairs to dance and grab drinks, and then stop at Lewers Street Pizza & Ice Cream for the after-club munchies.“
“Always busy. If u looking for quick and easy, this is the place or if u want to feed the gang after a day at the beach. One piece of pizza is huge-like 1/5; just buy a whole pizza. Inexpensive; not gunna win any gourmet ribbons but quick and inexpensive. Tasty enough. Ambiance? Busy parking lot, I usually only go if I'm shopping n someone wants something-or if I have a 2nd person who can jump out as I circle.“
“Popped in for a takeout order after a long day of island hopping. We were greeted quickly and our food came out quickly. The pizza was really good, loved the crust with just a bit of a chew. The sauce was simple and fresh tasting. My only complaint is that it needed less ricotta and a tad more prosciutto so that there a little bit on each slice. It could also use a bit more arugula. This is really a 4.5 review“
“We are a family of five and were looking for a place to eat. I saw this place when I went to long's drugs. I sadly cannot drink anymore (epileptic) but, my husband likes a good beer. The beer was good and the food was good. Not an extensive menu but enough for kids. We shared the pretzel. (Well, I had a bite and my kids downed most of it). And we all had the flat bread pizzas. One per person and they were good. No restrooms dedicated to this restaurant.“
“I am disappointed they stopped the packs where you can get the food and play time together, but that has nothing to do with this location. We have been to many different Chuck E. Cheese locations in different states, and this one is definitely one of our favorites.Kid-friendliness: MOST of the staff is amazing, whomever was Chuck E. on 2/13/24 You are Awesome! My girls were raving about riding the merry go round with you, Thank you!!“
“While waiting for my flight at Honolulu Airport, I indulged in a plate of roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and green beans. It was absolutely delicious! In fact, it was so good that I decided to take two whole chickens with mashed potatoes and gravy to enjoy with my family in Hilo later that evening for dinner. Despite the less-than-ideal airport ambiance, there's plenty of seating available if you prefer to sit and eat at a table. I'll definitely be returning. Plus, the service was exceptional--they even wrapped everything in plastic wrap to prevent spills during the flight.“
“This location seems old-fashioned and a little dimmed inside.I came for the buffet. $15 a person. Only available from 11am-2pm. Soda included unlimited. Salad is one time only.Pizzas come in different variation. They rotated with a new topping every time a pizza is gone. The meaty tomato sauce is really delicious. It goes well with the pizza as a dipping sauce.Sweet cinnamon bread sticks are so good especially when it's still warm and a little crispy on the outside. You cannot find a better deal than this elsewhere.“
“Tonight I quit being vegan. I figured Papa John's sausage pizza with brownies was a good way out of veganism, and wow was I right! The driver was super nice, the delivery was quick and HOW DOES PAPA JOHN'S HAVE THE BEST BROWNIES?? ???Thank you Lawehana Pizza Ohana! ❤️“
“Other than for the fact that the outside tables are located adjacent to the front driveway of the property, the place is excellent, and definitely will be a go-to restaurant in the future. The wines by the glass list, moreover, is reasonably varied and the prices are good.“
