“Stopped by after a concert at Blaisdell. We used to be regulars and it's been a while since I've been there...it's lost that old local sports bar feel. I guess maybe b/c it looks cleaner than before? Not sure what it is but no matter cuz the food was different but good. Enter from the Kapiolani side now, instead of the parking lot. Got there right before the concert crowd hit so got a table. Ordered drinks of course, and then pork chop lechon, ribeye, fried rice...and maybe a salad? I don't totally remember. Everything yummy. I guess I think I'd rather have the lechon not pork choppy, but was still good. Probably need to go back again...maybe with the work gang since it's close.“
“Our Wonderful friend from the islands highly recommended Side Street Inn to us.This was our second feast here (dined here in 2023) and it did not disappoint. We ordered our usual, Collin’s Favorites.Crispy pork chops, tender Kalbi beef and garlic chicken with a scrumptious crunch yet tender. What’s not to like?? We Luv the food and the friendly service. Served family style, you’ll have full bellies or left overs.Everything was on point from the delicious food to impeccable service.Thank You and we’ll see y’all again.“
“Definitely one of our goto places to have some, what I call, asian street food. Every time we dine in, we can literally feel the spirit of Colin and Anthony Bourdain. It’s as if they are dining with us and enjoying the legacy classics. Amazing fresh food and cool ambiance.Go during the weekdays as the weekends are jammed packed.“
“I love this place.I've been going for years now, and I always have a great time. The food is amazing, the music is great, and the staff are always friendly. I'm a vegetarian, but the food here is so good that I don't even miss meat!“
“Hadn't been here in 5+ years and wanted to see if it was still good. Was not disappointed, food was great as it always has been. Best little hole in the wall Thai food you can find!Oh, and if you ask for it 'Thai hot', they'll give you what you're looking for. Love it!“
“You know when you're looking a place that has delicious food (including breakfast now), amazing service, karaoke, dart boards, endless drinks, up to date sports games and a beautiful display, this is where you go. Period. Can't wait to visit again. Ask for Brit, Kailani or Tasha!“
“Thank you Pitch! We did a catering order for our office pau hana and the team at pitch was fantastic to work with. They were very responsive and made ordering painless. They also accommodated our special requests, including delivery. The food was delicious, delivered early, hot, and packed perfectly. Eating in restaurant is always great, but their catering is also top-notch!“
“A chill sports bar with Hawaiian bar food for your next pau hana. The place is no frills, casual place to get together with friends and watch the game. They also show UH games if they're on. I liked the vibe so I came two times in one week.If you don't drink, my favorite is the virgin strawberry margarita with li hing powder on the rim of the glass, paired with fish tofu patties. I had the poke but it's not my favorite. The fish and chips were super generous. The downside is the extremely limited parking. The free parking lot could accommodate probably less than 10 cars and the rest would need to find street parking (which is also hard since it's close-ish to town by a busy road)Vegetarian options: Minimal vegetarian optionsParking: The free parking lot could accommodate probably less than 10 cars and the rest would need to find street parking (which is also hard since it's close-ish to town by a busy road)Wheelchair accessibility: It's pretty accessible - there's disabled parking, no stairs etc to get to the establishment.“
“My favorite spot to visit when I'm on Oahu. It is a departure from the touristy spots with the usual clientele, and caters to locals that want to relax with a drink, watch some sports, and have some great food. These are Chinese dishes with a Hawaiian spirit, and they always hit. Mandatory for me while I am on island are a salmon belly plate lunch, GauGee, and Lup Cheong fried rice. Other dishes that have my heart are ginger fried rice, fat fat special chicken, chicken gizzards, and fried ahi plate. Even fried lettuce is surprisingly tasty, even if just once. I have had maybe a third of the menu so still quite a bit of flavors to uncover and explore. I look forward to doing that over the next several decades. Would be remiss if I didn't mention friendly service. Can't say enough great things about an essential establishment for me.“
“I love this place. I typically drink alot of craft cocktails and mixed drinks. They are expensive. However, I order some of my favorite basics and it rocks. I love the vibe and always looking forward to visiting with my husband on his work trips. This is a solid place, high maintenance people should go to their hotel bar and pay 15 dollars for their martinis.“
“4 stars because i was looking for a dive bar with cheap drinks and that is exactly what this place is to a T. 1 extra star because the bartender was one of the best i’ve ever had. I did not have any food but they offered free manapua’s when i was there solidifying my 5 star “
“Landed on the island on a Monday and left this evening's bar crawl in the hands of my cousin - the locals tour. Ended up in Kalihi on some nondescript, industrial looking side street and found myself in what my cousin described as a Laotian themed bar. There's always a first for everything. Very local feel, clean, casual, non pretentious. The acoustic system here kicks major a** for karaoke, although I have no idea what is being sung. It's all fun though. At any rate, very friendly staff, the kitchen closes late and they make a mean fried chicken. Come check it out!“
“Went to this bar for the superbowl and it was fun! Definitely a dive bar for the locals but surprisingly had DELICIOUS food! The kimchi fried rice was outstanding with lots of flavor. The tater tot nachos were super cheesy and delicious. The bbq pizza had too much bbq sauce (too overwhelming) but still good. Honestly, some of the best bar food I've had. The decor, however, is outdated and we sat by the bathroom with ripped seats, which hurt my thighs.“
“We're tourists who were just looking for a place that wasn't touristy to watch a game. This was perfect! Prices are reasonable, and service was good. Parking lot is small, but there weren't many people (midafternoon on a Sunday) so it wasn't an issue. Kalua pork nachos were delicious!“
“It might seem a bit odd to eat this in Waikiki, but there's a Texas barbecue place that's surprisingly delicious. It's located right across from the immensely popular Marugame and doesn't usually have a line. They mix and match various items, but the brisket is the tastiest. If you're in Waikiki and suddenly get a craving for Texas barbecue after eating poke and udon, I recommend this place.“
“Still retains some of hostess bar atmosphere. Tall tables against the walls spells pool hall vibe. Two pool tables. Both busy. Horseshoe shaped bar from it's hostess bar days. Local crowd including women playing pool. Seems like a good place for those are good players to come. Ginger soup with pork awesome. Spring rolls a mistake. Just fair.“
“The good is good but it’s it busy & so there is a lot of activity all around you. Not a relaxing meal at airport. I sat by the entrance & there was confusion about waiting to be seated & seating yourself. People waited in line while others just walked I. So, I unfortunately, heard a lot of grumbling & complaintsYou order food & pay on an app & food is brought to you by a waitress“
“This place is amazing! A hidden gem. the drinks give speakeasy vibes which is awesome and the bartenders I had were amazing!! Dylan and Bre were so great, they work almost every day so ask for them and take care of them!! They a masters behind the bar, and were so great! We went in a little “earlier” in the night and there was live music which was fantastic but as the night went on it got busier but not in a bad way! Definitely check it out.“
