“Let's set the scene. I ventured into this Starbucks, which is located on the street level of the Ala Moana Center. It's on the side of Surfer's Bakery and ABC Store. It's important to note that I went here around 5:15 p.m. on a Thursday evening. The day of the 50% off promotion for Starbucks' app users!It was crazy fun?! So many customers that you couldn't tell the order line from the wait line! I had to ask the people where was the line to order. The mood was festive and exciting for me! Some of the customers looked happy : ) and some, not so much : (. I considered leaving due to the number of customers, but I watched in amazement the sheer gut determination of the baristas to get those orders out!I literally wanted to shout out and clap my hands out loud for their frenzied work ethic. Here's to you all (clapping hand emoji). I stayed in line and placed my order for a venti Gingerbread Latte and a cup of ice. I wanted to try one of the holiday drinks. The Gingerbread Latte was spiced just right. The wait was long, but to be expected. The latte was nice, but the ice had coffee grains ? in it. So I tossed that away. I passed by here an hour later and I spied only three customers in store. I'm pretty sure the baristas needed the welcomed respite. Bravo Baristas!“
“Love this store! It's very rare they're out of anything. And this is common at all Starbucks locations to be out of something. Especially love that they're genuine and not fake nice like most locations. Brittany is an amazing manager. Jordan is always great. Amber, Kira, Kailey, love this crew.“

“I recently visited this Starbucks, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. First and foremost, the place was impressively clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus in any coffee shop.The real highlight, however, was the friendly and helpful barista on duty. I had a particular cup in mind that I really wanted, but I needed assistance in finding the barcode for it. The barista at the counter was patient and kind throughout the process.Despite a brief initial hiccup, they went the extra mile to assist me and eventually found the barcode I needed. I truly appreciated her willingness to help and her pleasant demeanor.So, not only was the place clean and inviting, but the staff’s excellent customer service made my visit to this Starbucks a positive and memorable one.“

“I love Starbucks that are inside of Targets and Safeways. For some reason they always have better merchandise than the stand alone stores. I like to collect their cups, so I'm always looking around at the different Starbucks locations. Since the Starbucks inside Targets and Safeways are franchised out, they don't give bonus stars. However, you're allowed to redeem your stars. I've redeemed for many cups. They serve all the standard offerings as all the other Starbucks. This location is in Target on their second level. They have a decent area sectioned off and it's comfy. You'll find me hanging out here from time to time.“
“Located in the lobby of the Ala Moana Hotel, this Starbucks offers plenty of seating in a spacious environment, making it a comfortable spot to relax or work.The coffee overall had a somewhat weak taste. Visited in December, and it was a bit chilly inside with the air conditioning.“
“I heard that it’s impossible to get a good coffee in Hawaii but I was surprised that Starbucks was good here! I had 3 coffees here over a few days and each one was very good, and fast service. Better than most local cafes near hotels that were a lot more expensive.“
“Love this location. Definitely gives more of a small town coffee shop. The managers always welcome me by a first name basis. Everyone is friendly and the place is always clean and stocked. They have a bathroom inside which is great to wash up and for the little ones. I come her about 2-3x per week and the coffee is strong and delicious!“
“Walk in and was instantly greetd with a “Good Morning, Welcome in!”These bathrooms are working!Ordered Berry Trio and didn’t have to ask for a spoon, I was given one. The women who took our order was very pleasant and polite! When our drinks and food were ready they called me by my name and told me thank you and have a wonderful day! “Went in there...fast friendly and efficient...got my order correct and was out of there in 3 minutes. Great place to grab coffee and chill. Had to park across the street but had plenty of parking spaces. Great place...id recommend it to anyone. Don't forget to tip your barista..they are doing you a service of making your coffee.“

“My go-to place 3x a week. Expensive as usual but. It's my kryptonite. Espresso Frappe with Almond is my jam. I use the app so just call before I leave home, only 2 miles away and it's always waiting for me plus occasionally when I get enough points I get any size free.“
“THIS LOCATION IS NO LONGER A RESERVE. Per the staff, apparently since June 2023. They have made no apparent attempt to take down any of the Reserve branding.Still a solid regular Starbucks with a clean and spacious interior. Just don't come here expecting special and eclectic coffee.“

“I've been going to this Starbucks for years. It tends to get very busy at times but the line moves fairly quickly. Getting your order takes longer. A few times they have made a mistake or possibly someone else took my order. The large majority of the times my order is accurate.The drinks are all good, especially the holiday ones. They are pricey but I don't think you'll get anything cheaper elsewhere, at least not with the same taste and quality. Also, use your reusable cups to get 10 cents off and 25 extra star points!I've been to a lot of Starbucks and this is one of my favorites. It's nice to sit in an air conditioned table or chair and relax with your drink inside the mall. If it's not hot or muggy, it is so much nicer outside. There are seats and umbrellas right outside of the Starbucks. And if you're lucky, they'll have live entertainment outside of Whole Foods!“
“I'm giving this one a 5 star. I enter . Im at the counter . Elsa takes my order. Before she does she asked me what I wanted. Hot or cold with caffeine in It. Sugar or cream. I told her not too sweet. She recommended the cold brew pistachio cream. She was very knowledgeable the way she described what was in the drink. That's impressive. I ordered a nitro cold brew. “My OG place to get that fix...I used to live blocks from here where the convenience is literally dangerous though the parking situation is nothing to be desired though thankfully this location is conveniently outside the cray cray of malls and business district.Fast forward to the pandemic and no indoor seating is still the same situation here sadly is the reason for one less star which doesn't seem as they have the outdoor shared seating with other tenants (Jamba and Kozo) is a big deal for me as the busy Kapahulu traffic isn't very relaxing but I do still appreciate this location as many has closed for various reasons.Agreed this location isn't very spacious but does have nice large windows and the friendliest baristas and sometimes do have fun suggested specialty menu items found only here is something I do love and give them a try. The people who work here are some of the nicest people on this island. It's also very exceedingly convenient.Negative: It's starting to feel like there's some religion I'm not familiar with, in which not providing electric outlets to customers is a sacrament. It's so common in this city that I'm not even going to take points off.“
“I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3 because they're new, some of the employees are new and with time, training and experience, people learn and get better. Located in Safeway Hawaii Kai, this convenient location is full of the normal Starbucks fare. I'm a regular here as I'm always shopping for groceries. The online ordering option is unfortunately not available at the time of writing this review. I hope that they add that feature soon because it would be nice to order while I'm shopping and grab my drink as I leave the store.“
“Oh... my... God. This is, bar none, the nicest Starbucks location I have ever seen. I only came here cause it was the closest one listed in google maps, and I needed to work on my laptop and also kill a few hours downtown while my sister ran some errands. I had NO idea this was inside a hospital (for anyone confused about how to get here, look at the pics I uploaded).So I had my sis drop me off out front on the sidewalk by the street. I couldn't find the Starbucks on the street, but the people in the lobby of the building said it's on the 2nd floor. I go up the elevators, walk down a hall, thinking I am going to find a little corner with a little Starbucks kiosk...nothing fancy....but....HOLY MOSES! I was like, am I at a Hilton 5 star hotel?? The dining area is simply stunning.It took me a while to realize I was at Kapiolani hospital.... meaning, the place where I was BORN! I only went here cause it was the closest starbucks on google maps. Said nothing about being in a hospital.I had never been in there again, since I was born, so I didn't even know what it looked like, and the whole building has been redone.So, this review isn't just about the Starbucks, it's really about the hospital dining room, but you get to drink your Starbucks coffee there and that is a huuge bonus. You wouldn't think a hospital dining room could be that impressive, but... wait till you see it.There are lots of places to plug in, if you need to work on a laptop. What a nice setup for people who work there, or are visiting someone at the hospital.After drinking my mocha, i was still hungry, and wanted to check out the cafeteria right by the starbucks. The cashier named Sam was SUPER helpful. I was just going to get a cheap, cold sandwich, but he reminded me the hot food area was still open. I got the tofu with rice and broccoli, a really good deal, and it was so good, I got my Mom and sister 2 plates to go.I was also going to get a 20 oz bottle of Pepsi, and Sam told me I could get a better deal getting a large fountain drink cause it's like the same price with more soda and it comes with ice. And I learned they have the BEST ice... that soft crunchy kind, sooo good.I loooved getting work done here. What a beautiful place to have your coffee, and grab your lunch or dinner later if you want to! Kudos to the people who redesigned this place, it is just beautiful. I got so much work done. What a nice experience!I also love it that this Starbucks was listed as being open super late, like 1:30, and because it's on a cafeteria, the whole dining room area is open for almost 24 hours. I think Sam said it closes at some point for cleaning, but it's not more than hour, I think (1:30 to 2:30 AM?).Awesome!! And how awesome for all the staff who work long hours, saving lives here.UPDATE, 2 DAYS LATER...I came here again after trying to find a decent Starbucks, closer to home, with an outlet where I could sit and write for a few hours. Every single starbucks I went to (3) had plates over all the electric outlets! What the heck! Sorry but the only reason I ever go to Starbucks is to be able to write for a few hours. It's not for the fabulous coffee. Makes me wonder where Starbucks will be in a few years. I just hope this one at Kapiolani will stay open!!“
“This location is convenient as it's right around the corner from Walmart. I'm here a few times a month. The workers are usually on it. I must have thrown the cashier off today because I bought in two reusable cups. He forgot and had to refund me and re ring the order.Starbucks coffee is ok, but not my favorite. However, I love collecting the stars so that I can exchange it for free cups. I love their cups more than their drinks, lol. The drink that I get most is the iced green tea followed by the chai latte. Once in a while I'll get a frappe. Today I ordered two frozen lemonades and a white chocolate frappe. They offered double stars today.“

One tall gentleman with dark brown hair was making picture perfect drinks while the other female barista seemed to be having a rough day. Two of our drinks were completely ice, two sips of liquid. Went back to show the star barista and he remade one of our drinks and apologized.Place is so busy. Staff seems to not have time for being friendly.“

Sometimes my drink is ready in 5 minutes and other days it takes 15-20 mins when there's only 1 person making drinks and 3 others behind the bar doing busy work. Make it make sense. Drinks are great though. Efficiency could use some streamlining.“

“In my experience, this is the only starbucks on island that makes drinks correctly. I make the drive to this location as they do it right and because it's triggering when you spend $5-8 on a drink only to have it wrong upon pickup. The barristas are wonderful and acknowledge you when you walk in and they thank you for your business, wishing you a good day ahead. I've managed coffee shops so, I understand what it takes to have a solid team in place and know it's not an easy undertaking. Whoever manages, or is a shift lead here, really has done a great job at ensuring the barristas make the drink correctly and care for the customer.
