“TL;DR - Amazing new "mainland style" Chinese restaurant here in Maui! Don't get me wrong - I do love the foods of Hawai'i, but I also appreciate different flavors too. Fried rice is one of my all-time favorite dishes. When I moved to Maui years ago, I ordered fried rice and was shocked by the smoky, meaty flavor of the local style. I love it but I also couldn't find the fried rice of my childhood. Today I found it at Maui Lemongrass and I am so excited! Everything we had was excellent - Chicken Chow Mein, Veggie Spring Rolls, fried rice, and Egg Foo Young. We also noticed the family in the booth next to us say "this is like New York Chinese food!" so it wasn't just us who had the feeling of familiarity. I also really appreciated that you could taste the freshness of the cooking and the ingredients. "Mainland style" Chinese might evoke a range of quality from legit restaurants to small takeout places selling fast food delivery. This is the nice restaurant type! This kind of good Chinese restaurant was my grandma's favorite for dining out, if she was still alive and could visit me this would be at the top of the list for places to take her for dinner. If a guy wants to take his grandma there you know it's good! We will be back soon for more delicious food!“

“Friday night the line is out of the door long. We went through the drive though the server took our order! They were out of orange chicken. She politely informed me we would have to wait about 15 minutes for more orange chicken. We waited near the back. They were very quick about getting our food out to us it took less than 10 minutes. The food is hot and fresh. Exactly what I was craving. Thank you!“

“When a business ups their game, a review update is in order.ATMOSPHERE:Siu's is still in the Maui Mall and hasn't been renovated in years, though it's still in good shape and pretty clean (out front, anyways). They have a hot line of premade food or you can order off the menu. Most of the business is takeout so eating in is very enjoyable as it's not crowded. I'm definitely coming here for lunch more often! One table is reserved for the staff that's cluttered with junk, but who cares!FOOD:Black Bean ChickenThis is available on the hot line, either part of a combo plate or by itself in small or large boxes. It's absolutely delish and loaded with veggies (green peppers, zucchini, onions, carrots, and mushrooms) stir fried in a savory gravy with lots of black bean flavor. Heavenly over rice.House Cake Noodles - $12.95Since my last update years ago, I've been on the hunt for a better version, but no one can top theirs. While the amount of cake noodles could be a tad bit more, theirs has the most traditional flavor and crunch. The thick, savory gravy is chock full of won bok, canned mushrooms, carrots, zucchini, chicken, and two shrimp. Definitely eat this in the restaurant as opposed to takeout as it tastes best hot from the kitchen, like how ramen does. I cleaned the whole plate and wanted to lick it clean but there were others around!?Beef BroccoliAnother hot line item, it's hard to find a version as good as my dad used to make, but theirs comes closest. All I ask is for tender beef, crunchy and fresh broccoli, and a tasty gravy. Check, check, check!SERVICE:A vast improvement here as I've been greeted and thanked the last few times. Today, I was even given a follow-up shout of "Your cake noodle almost done"! Yes!OVERALL:Food improved and service better. Sure, I'm longing for dim sum, chicken feet, look funn, pork hash and what not, but this is Maui where there's a lack of Chinese restaurants. So, until someone opens up shop, Siu's is 3 + 2 = 5 (stars)!“

“Possibly the best Panda Express on all of Maui, and I’ve been to them all. They must have a Michelin star chef in the back bc woooof my orange chic was phenomenal. The service made me feel like a prince. The woman who helped me was friendly, helpful, and an active listener. Make this a destination on your Maui trip. 10000 gold stars“

“The quality of the food has gone downhill. Over the years the food tastes less like Korean and more fusion. The spicy chicken tasted like they stir fried the meat and sprinkled some pepper flakes on top. The flavor of the meat was very bland. There was way too much meat in the kimchee soup, the flavor of the pork overpowered the kimchee and the broth was a little too oily for my taste. Not like any kimchee soup I remember. The banchan was old and tasted like it needed to be thrown out. We hardly ate any of the chicken and maybe half of the kimchee soup. We were highly disappointed, probably won't return.“

“So this place is the definition of a hole in the wall. It is a great place to grab a quick bite for a good price. Especially these days when almost every other place is jacking prices up and or cutting portions. This is one of the few places on the island you can get a meal for under $10 bucks. It is not gourmet and it is not traditional Chinese. It is island style Chinese and local food. Some items border on being a tad bit salty and not a fan of there mac salad other than that. Most items on the menu are a winner. I usually order the cheese burger combo, but the chicken katsu is a good choice. The duck is actually done really well and the steaks are pretty good. the teri burger is also another good choice. The service is always fast and friendly. It also helps that they are open late. Oh and did I mention the menu is pretty large. So most people should be able to find something to eat. There breakfast specials are also a super value. most other places will charge 2 to 3 times more for the same breakfast. They also do party catering which is nice especially during the holidays when you don't wanna cook. Sorry forgot to take pictures will definitely get some the next time i eat there which will probably be in a few days.“

“The food is okay, although they do have some exceptional ones that are really great. I really enjoyed the hamburger steak/ chicken cutlet combo plate.Parking: The location I went to is in Pukalani, and the parking lot at this strip mall is extremely tight. It's not uncommon for people to not park within the painted stalls. It's just accepted at that particular parking lot due to the extremely tight spacing. Everyone just understands it's necessary.“

“Good value for money, we liked our salmon and chicken plates. However I ordered a plate that should have come with rice and pasta salad but ended up having on chicken. Hopefully we had the salmon plate from which we could share the rice. Also the service was not really pleasant, the guy didn’t even reply when I told him Merry Christmas.“

“You could do a lot worse than the standard standby of fast food Chinese style! Not the best on the island but everyone here is always very friendly and the air conditioning is ice cold ❄️ always a treat to have their orange chicken and shrimp with walnuts. Chow mein is pretty good too. Great meal deal for the whole family. I appreciate there attention to lower calorie options and vegetables to help keep me slim and trim. ?“
