“If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place.i moved here to Maui from the bay area and believe me this is the real deal.food seasoned to perfection;not too salty nor too bland, just perfect.a must have is the horchata; literally the best horchata I’ve had in Maui.this spot tops Fernando’s and amigos by miles.they also have a location in Kihei with more food options. 10/10“
“Tight Tacos are amazing! The staff is friendly, and their tacos are possibly the best I have ever had. We tried them all, and all are great! There was a place in San Felipe, MX that might have been better, but the owners retired years ago.Parking: Very small parking lot.Street parking available.Kid-friendliness: The kids loved it here! They loved the quesadillas, and the informal atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room and order window are very wheelchair accessible. The only non-accessible area is the salsa bar. That area is too narrow to navigate by wheelchair. The staff is friendly, and happy to get whatever you want from the salsa bar.“
“I had two orders of their 3 tacos for $5. One beef and one carnitas. Both delicious for the money. Carnitas were the favorite in my group. A little strange for lettuce to be in my street tacos but the tacos were so good and fresh. I'll be back!“
“Stopped in here for lunch and was glad I did. The food coming out of the kitchen all looked good and fresh. All items are made to order so you will have a short weight before your food arrives. The service was exceptional. I don't know if it was the owner or not but the woman who helped take my order went above and beyond to answer all my questions and explain some of the menu items so I would get exactly what I was hungry for. I left with more than one meal because everything looked so good that I wanted something to go. The nachos were enough for two, and the chimichanga was crisp and loaded. I was also very impressed with the amount of extras you could add for free. For sure it would be an extra charge at most other places. The atmosphere is decorated in the style you would expect. Overall a Mexican feel but I would say a few touch ups and attention to details could help to bring the place together but definitely nothing that you would care about once your food arrives and get your first taste.“
“Great location and easy pit stop on the way back up the hill. I don't normally eat fast food but sometimes, you just need to fuel up and Taco Bell is a great option. They are super quick here and friendly. Deducted one star because one of the visits my veggie fiesta burrito was still cold“
“While working in Ka'anapali, I heard of a good Mexican place to eat. Just so happened my apprentice owed me dinner so I suggested we try Amigos.Dinner was great. He ordered a shrimp chimichanga for $13 which was the Wednesday night special and packed with shrimp every bite.I had a $18 carne asada burrito wet with red and green sauce also packed, meaty and well worth it.I was disappointed in the Mexican shrimp cocktail which lacked flavor, was very watery. We also both enjoyed a michelada which were good.Unfortunately I can never return, Service was amazing but unfortunately my apprentice is a cheapskate and only tipped $5 on $110 for which I can never show my face there again out of shame as I have a very memorable Hollywood quality to my appearance.Despite this I would definitely recommend Amigos.“
“Our server was fantastic and always checked in on us! The Happy Hour Farnando's Margaritas were on point too! Always a chill atmosphere and they always accommodate for our large clan that we bring each time. ❤❤ Mahalo??Vegetarian options: Guacamole, veggie burrito, etcKid-friendliness: We always bring our kids and they love the food too! We don't have picky eaters so it works.“
“This little Diamond in the rough was just what I needed. No one goes to Maui for Mexican food, but if you are tired of Loco Moco and Spam ain't your bag, then hit up Maui Tacos. It's a fast, casual vibe, but the food is cooked to order. I ordered the steak nachos two days in a row. The steak cost $2 more, but I thought it was worth it. You have your choice of black beans or refried as well. The menu is brightly displayed overhead on three large screens. Soft drinks are free refills. The tables have maps of Hawaii on them. So plan your next trip over tacos and tostadas. Did I mention that there's a salsa bar? Try the pickled, jalapeño vegetables and pineapple salsa, you can thank me later. My food was fresh, hot and fast. Visit for the beaches, stay for the tacos!“
“Great culinary concept! Maui-Mexican.First rate shrimp burrito... Seated outside under shade tree. Locals know this place for lunch... Hardly a tourist in sight.Parking: Busy neighborhood but seems like there's always a place to park on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level so there is no problem with a wheelchair access.“
