My Monday lunch mission went from laughable to bust. I'm trying to reverse my dislike of food trucks so I set out to find a new one to try. I knew the new Havens truck was closed but I was sure I could find something else. Boy was I wrong. Two of the four food truck lots were closed (by old 24 Hour Fitness and behind Home Depot) and nothing enticed me at the two by Costco that were infested with tourists. Our first Loco moco on the island was at a food truck near the airport called the lunchbox or something along those lines, it was quite delicious so we wanted to give this place a try thinking that perhaps another smaller mom and pop restaurant might be the way to go for more authentic food. This place wasn't bad, but didn't really seem like the cleanest restaurant. You can still be a small, mom and pop shop and run a clean business. looking for someplace to eat before going to the airport. small place. the food was good. they seem to cater to construction workers. have food already prepared you just pick from whats made. menu changes everyday. no eat in dining, there are several picnic tables outside.
