“Enjoyed a few hours here with some books and tarot from the cute bookstore next door. The French dip sandwich was delicious and VERY filling, my bestie absolutely MURDERED her portobello sammie. The smoothies were so delicious, we actually ordered a 3rd to share. We finished with honey beignets, which were delicious perfections. The people here were friendly and just good people. “My experience at Subway is typically a 3 star experience. I only went here because the Mexican place next door was closed. However this place was awesome. The sandwich artist legit was trying to make the 3 foot longs I got look just like the pictures. I'm sure he put wayyy more meat than he was supposed to but it tasted great.“
“This is a regular lunch spot for me, a couple times a week. Bad enough the staff knows my usual order. Food? It is a Subway, exactly as you expect. Keep in mind that Hawaiian stores may not offer all the deals you are familiar with on the mainland, just too expensive here. Supply issues mean they are sometimes out of particular ingedients. This store has a pretty good staff, friendly and competent, putting the meals together quickly to keep the line reasonable. Can get quite busy at lunch, recommend using the app to order ahead.“
“We ate at Poi Dog Deli twice while on Big Island. It was fantastic. We loved the casual atmosphere, the popcorn, the staff were very friendly and the sandwiches were delicious. It can be very difficult to find places for my husband to eat out while traveling with Celiac. But they were knowledgeable about gluten cross contamination and had GF bread.
