I wanted to have the “real thing” poke, to see how it compares with what I get back home. Omg there were so many choices, I wish I had gone here earlier so I could have gone back twice to try different stuff just for fun. A very sweet counter person at the take out section who helped me pick out a great plate. Beware, the plate is really for like two meals. It was huge and weighed a ton. So yummy and so much different from what I thought poke was.
We wanted fish tacos. All the places along the waterfront looked basic and touristy. This came across as a local find and it sure didn’t disappoint. Incredible service, great patio and awesome local musicians. The fish tacos were GREAT! Tons of flavor and ample portions. The mushroom pupu plate was a delicious starter as well.Parking: Street parking is as convenient as the surface lot

Dinner at Umeke's was a very nice experience. We had a brief wait before being seated, then service staff was attentive and we asked plenty of questions as first-timers. Decided on ahi fish tacos and ono fish&chips, both were flavorful and plentiful. Umeke's came on a recommendation from a lady at our hotel, and we were glad we came here.Parking: Busy area with other businesses so be patient and you may have to drive around 2x or 3x but you will eventually find a spot.
