A must visit if you’re on the island. It’s known for its authentic Hawaiian cuisine, but I went for its famous dessert: The Sweet Lady of Waiāhole. It’s a treat of warm Kulolo and Haupia ice cream, which is warm taro on the bottom and coconut ice cream on top. It’s so delicious and that alone is worth the drive. Waiāhole Poi Factory is an incredible restaurant! They serve delicious Hawaiian food and their sweet lady of Waiāhole was by far the absolute best. The lomi salmon was also very good! The kalua pig was really good and not very salty! The flavors are absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. It's definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!
What do I know about Hawaiian food? Not much, but THIS WAS MY FAVORITE authentic hawaiian meal during our Oahu trip! Soooo much flavor, heart, and depth! Sadly you need to legitimately drive to try this place out, in the middle of no where, but it's worth it! Food: - Kanaka Nui: Feeds two people! This is the more straight up combo of several items. - Laulau is perfectly smokey with the taro leaves with juicy pork inside.
