I was really disappointed this last time I went there. I had bragged up the steaks to my friends. The steaks used to be outstanding but they’ve changed the way they make them. The stakes were not good. And the rolls tasted horrible. I had asked for rolls then had to remind the waiter after we had already eaten most of our food the I had asked for rolls. He said something about waiting for them to get out of the over, or something. They came and were cold. I thought they were just old but the waiter later apologized that they weren’t cooked. The whole experience was a let down. Won’t be back and that’s too bad because I like to go here every time I come to the islands.

Roy's is always a family favorite! They treated out kids (4 & 5) like royalty. As soon as we sat down, they put food in front of them, without even ordering. The kids meals were a great value and came with an appetizer, entrée and desert. Our only regret was only eating here once. Our oldest asked every night if we could go back to Roy's because he loved it so much.Yes, it is on the more expensive side, but in this case, you get what you pay for! Top notch service. Great good and drink. Amazing attention to detail when it comes to kids.Kid-friendliness: As soon as we sat down, the waiter brought out the kids a quesadilla and some fruit as their appetizer, without even ordering. I've never experienced a restaurant that just brings kids food to keep the quiet. Roy's has it down! Other restaurants should take note.

Our party of 13 had a varity of the items on the menu. Both seafood and meat dishes had very interesting flavors, were well plated, and of high quality. Very professional staff, service was attentive but not overbearing, and they did not rush us. This was a family gathering that could not have gone better.

My surprise birthday party here last night was so amazing! The service, food and attention to detail was perfect!!! I cant imagine a better time!!
Kid-friendliness: From the moment we arrived until we completed our meal staff was attentive to our granddaughter. The Keiki menu had three courses of kid-friendly food- ending with a small ice cream sandwich and sprinkles. The rest of our meal was memorable as well. Beginning with the complimentary edamame, to the Lychee Lanai delicious cocktail, to the vegetarian option for my son in law, the best poke my daughter has ever tasted, the hamachi for my husband and myself and the beautiful complimentary birthday dessert, complete with candle and Roy's chocolate birthday greeting- all were exemplary and the epitome of fine dining. The staff, our waiter, the greeter- all were so welcoming and professional.

It was our 19 anniversary date that we finally got a chance to have with our children finally all in school. It was our first time at Roy's in Koolina for both myself and my wife and I have to say it was amazing. The food was broke the mouth amazing as well as the the drinks that we ordered. The service was great as well our server Robin . She was just very interactive and very professional she made our first visit top notch. It's funny to me because we both never got to celebrate or go anywhere without our kids that we were nervous and forgot how to actually have a date. But today's date was just what we needed. My wife got all teary eyed towards the end of our date and I almost joined her. She melted my heart. It was a very romantic moment for the both of us. We highly recommend going to Roy's in Koolina to anyone and everyone to have that experience we shared there together.

We were seated promptly and the person brought us water and edamame but tool our server forever to come. When we finally ordered food came fast. He only check in once. Saw we were sone and never spoke to us. We were having the soufflé for dessert a d he never told us he put in the order. Did not bring us a plate for my husbands shells in his paella. We had a wonderful experience here at Roy's. Everyone from our server to the gentleman in charge of water service or even just staff walking by were so attentive. They were aware of every need and even could anticipate need. They knew that we were celebrating our anniversary and wished us a happy one with kind words and a special dessert. The area has wonderful views of the golf course and we loved sitting and enjoying the most amazing food. I live in San Fran and I can tell you that this was some of the most beautiful and delicious food I have had in a long time. We had Brie and edamame to start and for dinner the filet and scallops, the ribeye, and the seafood special. My gosh it was soooo so good. We left stuffed with big smiles and I just have to say thank you. We will be coming back here.
