I arrived at 5 pm, expecting a limited menu close to their 6 pm closing time. However, I was met with a rude response, as the middle-age male greeted me with “I’m out of food, what do you what”. The overall experience was marred by poor planning, unfriendly service, and poor food quality.

Super fresh fish with excellent preparation. This place has a lot of potential. That said, we tried to eat here twice in one week. The first time they were sold out and closing almost 2 hours early. The second time they were very nearly sold out at 3pm and not even half of us were able to order fish. The beef stew was decent but very fatty. We enjoyed the Hawaiian platter for two. Very good. But we really wanted fish. The soda machine was out of order, as was the tea. They offered only water, canned Pepsi and diet Pepsi. This could easily be a 5 star visit, especially with as friendly and helpful as the staff was. The fish we did get was delicious. If you go, get there early in the day to maximize your experience.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Young's in Kapolei, picked up our laulau to bring back to CA! So ono!

Just picked up lunch for myself and a coworker. Both of us were feeling a little under the weather, and chicken long rice was the only solution. For under $40 we both got our fix of that, plus Kahlua pig and poi. Always incredibly friendly service and ono

The food was good. They allowed me to order beef laulau on Sunday even though they don't cook the beef on Sunday. I just had to call and pre-order on Saturday.

I came to check out their new location. I was shocked that it was empty upon my arrival. When I walked in, they had a to-go menu that I could look at for their menu. There was no big menu like many other eateries I've been to. But I won't knock them on a star for that.I ordered their lau lau plate with pork w/ Lomi salmon, pipikaula and rice, they ran out of chicken which was a bummer. Also added a side order of tripe stew, squid luau and Maui onion w/ Hawaiian salt.-Food-The Lau Lau was on point. Not to salty or dry at all.Lomi salmon was amazing and made perfectly.Pipikaula was cooked perfectly and had a hint of sweetness to it when you take a bite. But I prefer Helena's over anyone else's Pipikaula just my preference.Squid luau was a little on the sweet side which I don't mind. Every cook makes it differently.Tripe stew reminded me a little bit of my childhood went I used to eat it at Kam Bowl when they were across from Kamehameha Shopping Center.Maui onion always a good snack to have before the food comes out.The ambiance casual feeling as if I was eating at Zippys or any other local restaurant.-Rating-Service: 10/10Food: 9/10I'd come back to this location, If I'm ever on this side of the island.

Their food is Ono!! Ate here twice already this week!Located in Kapolei across from the regal theaters and next to bank of Hawaii.Of course Lau Lau us a must and it's super huge. The beef stew is also very good. If Ono for Hawaiian in Kapolei come over hea.

In my opinion this is the best local style beef stew on the island! The meat is so tender and flavorful. The cashier was super patient with my 95 year old father-in-law while he was ordering.
