It had been decades (Here I go again, dating myself) since I last visited Maui. I remembered it to be much more chill than Oahu, but I didn't recall that it's so low key that finding a bite to eat past 9 PM is nearly impossible. I learned this lesson the hard way on my first day back to the island, starving at 10ish at night. Luckily for us, we found Lahaina Coolers...via yelp. What a cute place! Cozy little place. Loved the food and drinks but specially LOVED their homemade salsa! Brought some back to L.A. and I am cautiously eating it because I don't want it to run out!!!!

Had dinner here on a Monday night and came back Tuesday morning for breakfast. Only wish we had discovered this place earlier in our time on the island. It is by far the best in Lahaina. The Whalers Stew was full of fresh seafood and vegetables in a spicy red sauce....perfection! The Loco Moco with pork is the best anywhere. Try it with their signature hot sauce.
