Fast and friendly service, tasty food and nice portion sizes. Their oxtail soup/mein is underrated, and a nice option on a rainy day. Daughter loves it here. Reminds me of the Chinese restaurants that we enjoyed during my childhood across the state.

Every visit to Kauai, while we put in our steps walking our way around Lihue, we always pass by Garden Island BBQ & Chinese restaurant, I keep telling myself I will check it out, but never happened. Finally decided to get take out for hotel stay and it was the best decision ever. While waiting for my order, I noticed all the Best of the Best Awards on the wall and Best Of Kauai stickers on the door. This place must be good! Good food, and fast service. Happy tummy again! Char Siu Fried Rice, Cold Ginger Chicken, Beef Sirloin Sizzling Platter, Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs (sorry, I thought I took a pic of this but i guess I didnt) The main one I wanted was the cold ginger chicken. Hard to find in Colorado, but didnt think it was an acquired taste for my family lol. They not used to "cold chicken" lol. It needs to be hot/heated up lol.
