“Man out in the sun working, chopping wood for the fire. He’s working harder than most and still super kind. Ordered a whole chicken combo. Very good price was cheap. Highly recommended. Fast service.Parking: Easy parking , short walk”
“The "Yum Sauce" Chicken is by far the best Korean Flavored Chicken I've ever had. They make it fresh to order, the skin is crispy and the fries and rice with the sauce it delectable. The staff is always local kine friendly.”
“Had issues with my points not loading on card. The manager fixed it after I brought it to her attention. It took time for the issue to be resolved as the internet was glitching.”
“Hidden Gem in the Neighborhood! We stumbled upon Hangry Mama Bar & Kitchen last night, a true hidden gem in our neighborhood that has been delighting locals for a year now. The fried noodles, rib eye steak, and the pork belly wrap on a sizzling plate were all top-notch. The pork belly wrap with cheese and sauce was incredibly scrumptious, making a return visit inevitable to explore more of their enticing menu. The ambiance is fantastic, staff are friendly and welcoming, and the cleanliness of both the place and restroom is commendable. The AC unit works wonders, and the decor adds to the overall charm. Karaoke was a blast and a special shout-out to Shania for making our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Hangry Mama, for a memorable evening! Happy Holidays and wishing you all great success in the new year. ALOHA”
“Another little gem in Upper Pearl City. The lady serving the shave ice is very nice and friendly. We where the last ones to order and she was so nice, she gave us lots of samples to try from previous order that by the time our order came in, we were full from samples! The amount of shave ice is a lot ( we order a small each), should have ordered just one as it was a lot for my husband and I. The little place is cute with lots of sweet and happy decorations. Make sure to have cash at hand, because this place does not take credit/debit cards.”
“A small affair in a small strip on south side of Kam Highway in Pearl City. About 6 total tables inside. Sign in legal pad outside to get in line. Order inside at counter then food brought to you. May be a wait but very worth it. I had a ciabatta breakfast sandwich with beef bulgogi and egg and cheese and chipotle mayo. Bread tender and fresh but held together. Who does that ? It was fire. Lots of crispy tots. They were banging out what looked to be very tall and artful stuffed French toasts that I would definitely try. Hit this place.”
“Went to Oahu this past weekend had a great time stopped in for some ono seared ahi I've gotta say this was thee best seared ahi I ever had! Also picked up smoked swordfish seriously had to go back for more! Mahalo nui loa definitely a go-to spot ? give this place 2 thumbs and 2 shakas sorry I don't have pics coz he ate it all ❤️”
“This is the best spicy garlic chicken I’ve ever eaten, and the portion size is huge!! Great value for money, kind staff, quick service. I will definitely be back often.”
“I've tried this place several times and finally got a chance to write a review. I've always ordered the 2-choice(combination) Teishoku and tried different kinds of items. After every visit, I must say, everything was good! The quality and presentation is top notch. This time, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and Mini Chirashi combination. The chicken was excellent. It was soft, and the teriyaki sauce was very flavorful, not overwhelming. The mini Chirashi (which was an extra charge of $4) came with ahi, salmon, shrimp, tako, and ika. Everything was fresh and tasty, especially when slightly dipped in wasabi/shoyu sauce. Tan ordered the combination salmon and spicy ahi. I had a piece of salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. The Spicy Ahi(another extra charge of $3) was also flavorful. It was more on the creamy side than on a chunky side. Both combinations were served with miso soup and a bowl of greens. Hot tea was also included. The only downside of all my visits was that they always ran out of Ahi Tempura. We came in 15 minutes after opening at 5:15 pm, and it was sold out 5 minutes prior. Hot item!! I would have given them a 4 star, but the food quality and customer service were superior. It made up for that star. It was so good we made a salmon takeout order for tomorrows lunch.”
“It's ok for shabu shabu however the service could be better. Not only they keep reminding us we only have 1.30 min even before we seat they also forget to bring our protein. They have 2 choice standard all you can eat or for extra $5 premium. I guess it's ok. Also the stove is way too high so it's become Inconvenience.Vegetarian options: It's okDietary restrictions: HorribleParking: Free parkingKid-friendliness: NopeWheelchair accessibility: Nope”
“No frills, take out Chinese/local food located up in Palisades in a tiny shopping mall/gas station. Always come here when visiting friends closeby. Reasonably priced and you get your moneys worth. Havent had a bad dish here yet. The chicken katsu curry here is winnahs?”
“My favorite bubble tea place on the island. This place is authentic Taiwanese bubble tea. Big serving size. The auntie here is so sweet and she’s truly a kind person who cares about the students who comes to her shop. She also makes her bubbles from scratch early in the morning. My kid and i always have a good time when we are here.Kid-friendliness: Auntie is super sweet to little keiki”
“I recently visited Uncle Troy's during a layover in Honolulu and I must say that I had a wonderful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried noodles with spam, cocktails, and shots during my time. I also need to give huge shout out and thank you to Priscilla aka "Silla" because she was sweet, attentive, and provided the BEST customer service during my experience. Plus, they have karaoke! If I am ever in Honolulu again, I will be sure to visit Uncle Troy's. Thank you so much, Silla!”
“We had avoided dining here because of the health department finding them about 5 years ago. OUR LOSS! We tried it and was blown away by the food quality and taste! The restaurant is very clean, and so is the kitchen (visible through a large window behind the cashier). I've had the Japanese teshoku shrimp and the ramen set (tried the white broth which is boiled overnight and so impressed by its taste, that I ordered it again the next time we went there). Both were excellent. They also offerbrown rice which helps my diet restrictions. They are generous with the servings. The service is friendly and professional. It's become our new "go to" restaurant.Dietary restrictions: They offer brown rice.”
“First time here and the employees were very welcoming and warm. The spicy ahi poke bowl is flavorful, filling, and delicious. There aren’t a lot of places to sit, and only street parking available, but the service and food quality is worth making this a local favorite lunch spot. We will definitely be back!”
