“Went mid-afternoon and most of the tables were dirty when we sat down.Food was hot and fresh, as usual. It's one of my wife's favorite fast-food spots, though I personally don't love it.I did, however, love the sweet tea. Reminded me of home.“
“Great take out place!Just come here when you are near by or just too lazy to cook . LolEverything is good but my fave is ontama beef bowl.M size is plenty with 2 eggs. I couldn't finish all.Bottle water was just $1. That's nice that they are not ripping you off like other restaurants... but I wish they have a pitcher of water for dine in customer.“
“I was skeptical about coming here at first because of the three stars I saw on yelp. But I came anyways and I’m glad I did. The service was amazing, the lady was kind. The place was clean and looked nice. The wait for the food wasn’t that long and the food was delicious. I’m definitely coming back.“
“Today I placed a large order of about 25 plates for our Union Meeting at the Pearl City location-806 Kamehameha Hwy. The person who took the order did an excellent job with no errors. They had my order ready in less than 30 minutes. I wanted to give an extra commendation to Somphone. First, she greeted me so warmly! She double checked my order, took my Bakery order, and helped me to my car! I had to return to add to the order and she helped me again. Somphone needs to given an award or a certificate! I received excellent service!“
“When was the last time you had a meal that really had an effect on you? No, I'm not talking about the last meal you enjoyed, the last time you burnt your mouth, the last time you had an overly sweet cake. I'm talking about the one that really made you have a paradigm shift in your actual life. One whose area of effect extended beyond the duration you were eating it, that embedded itself into your psyche, long after you had finished it.It's a gradually unfamiliar feeling whenever you get it, because as you grow older, that feeling becomes increasingly harder to find. Mostly because as you grow older, the more you get acquainted with the world around you, that it becomes rarer for you to find something that makes you reflect on it, to take a moment to enjoy it. Like your first bite of Kraft Mac & Cheese, or your first medium rare steak.Today, I enjoyed an extraordinary sandwich from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about sandwiches is a gross understatement. Sometimes a sandwich doesn't have to be a supermodel, laden with decadent, expensive ingredients, to have an effect. I was lost amidst the vast choices as I entered, but was guided through with customer service only Hawai'i could have. Equipped with the submarine sandwich and a cookie, I sat down.To say that a sandwich could fix me is absurd. But as I began my jaw workout of engulfing this tall gift from God, I had a sense of relief rush over me. My jade glasses were washed away, the world was no longer in monochrome. This toe-curling, juicy, girthy, aromatic, hefty sub was no match for my depression, my apathetic demeanor, nor my fatigue. It was a warm embrace on a summer day. A hearth in a snowy lodge. Like telling your friends you love them, instead of hiding it under your day-to-day greetings. For a little while, there were no worries of the past, present, or future. There were no nagging regrets of lost love, or a feeling of being in the wrong place and time. For a moment, I belonged where I was, in that moment. To be niche, like walking down the stairs in 'Hello, Dolly', with the theme song in the finale.Perhaps I was just hungry. Maybe I was going through it. But in this modern world of abundancy, I feel we often forget to hold onto what we find truly special, instead moving onto the next thing, always in a rush. This sandwich helped me remember that there are great things in this world, things to look forward to and to make life worth living, like spending time with good friends. It helped me remember I enjoy looking at the world through an optimistic lens. It reminded me to hold onto the bonds I've made with friends. Just because the vessel for my mental healing was in a sandwich, doesn't make the experience any less real for me.Not as a means of putting an item of monetary value on a pedestal, but to highlight an experience in my day, one that I didn't know I needed. A good meal loves you unconditionally, with a designated beginning and end. Like a soft embrace, but when it's over, there's no anguish, or conflicting feelings, just gratitude for what it was, and who it made you. Maybe I needed a reminder that we can take things that end, and see them as sandwiches. Just because I no longer have it in my hand, doesn't mean I shouldn't have ever gotten it. It is something that changed me for the better for a long time, and fulfilled me until the next meal. I don't regret getting it--rather, I'm really glad I had a good moment in my day, it was enjoyable. Things that end are not things that are bad. The end of a concert won't make fans ask for a refund. The loss of a beloved pet won't make the owner wish they had never gotten the pet. The separation from someone life-changing won't make me wish I had never gone to Lithuania. Rather, like a sandwich, I can look back with gratitude, because I enjoyed it. You have not met all the people, or sandwiches, in your life who are going to love and cheri“
“So L & G is located in the food court above Sams club and like many others have said it's pretty accessible lots of parking.. Went here yesterday with my parents this is one of their favorite spots to go for me it's alright. My dad loves the meat jun and my mom loves garlic chicken. I've tried both of their favorites and they're ok it's not the best but definitely not the worst. My plate yesterday was the lemon chicken with fries instead of rice. The lemon sauce was good and the chicken was really really good batter super crispy and legitimately tender pieces of meat inside the fries were not the best nothing salt couldn't fix though. The service was pretty prompt we didn't wait a long time for the food it came out hot and in a good amount of time. Personally I mean if I'm in the area and craving something on the menu I'll stop in.. I know my parents will definitely continue to come here they really do like the food. At the end of the day L&G is what it is.. it's a fairly good local plate lunch spot and the prices are reasonable also in my opinion.“
“All the popeyes on Island have great service, but Pearl City location is just AWESOME all around. The workers are friendly, service is always 100%, the dinning area is always clean food is always hot, food packing is neat and wait times are not even a wait at all. Someone always greets you when you enter, rather it be the cashier, the cook, or a worker on their lunch. One person in particular that stands out is a super friendly kind lady. Her name is Karen. Every single time and I mean every single time because I visit the Pearl City location a lot she is always smiling and in a great mood. Always multitasking and getting orders out proficiently. My kid will ONLY eat Popeyes chicken and with the excellent service they have its actually a treat to visit them. PC POPEYES YALL ROCK!!“
“First time here and the employees were very welcoming and warm. The spicy ahi poke bowl is flavorful, filling, and delicious. There aren’t a lot of places to sit, and only street parking available, but the service and food quality is worth making this a local favorite lunch spot. We will definitely be back!“
