The best Thai food I've had in Hawaii. We ordered Yum Nua which never disappoints, Larb Gai is so flavorful, and the steak plate. The staff are very nice and we're always happy after eating there.
My family first started going to the Laie Elephant Shack and would drive an hour+ just to eat there. Been there a couple dozen times. Tried the one on North Shore and was happy to see the menu consistency was the same. Tried the Pearl Highlands location a half dozen times. Now we are thrilled to go to the one closest to home in Kaka'ako. We are vegetarians and usually get the garlic basil bowl or the pad thai or the penang curry. Really Good pad Thai. Highly disappointed in the Panang primarily due to portion size. $16 for a SMALL bowl only to find out bowl was half way full. It tasted great, but I can make enough Panang to feed my whole family with $16. Also disappointed in the Thai ice tea. Maybe a bad batch that day, but it wasn't very good.
