Every time we go to Waimea (we're from Kona) we stop at Dan-o's. If you haven't tried it, you must. Service is exceptional, food is always warm and delicious, and they have the only fries in the island I can eat without any condiments.
Our new go-to spot in Waimea! Hands down, the best falafel wrap I've ever had, esp. with the garlic sauce. The falafel is light and super flavorful and the veggies are fresh and crispy. Overall the perfect balance. And, the highlight was the garlic fries. We love garlic and they could not have had more flavor. Incredibly addictive! Highly recommend this amazing spot!
I just called to hear they are permanently closed which saddens to hear. I've always enjoyed the staff, food and drive up from the village for an amazing wrap. I can't imagine anything moving into that space that will come close to comparing to the same quality food, staff and consistency.
