My husband and I have been coming here for 7 years and it remains one of our absolute favorite spots. Great food with large portions. Very tasty desserts (if you're not feeling a big meal, its worth swinging by for just a dessert). Good staff. Cozy atmosphere. A Des Moines must!

My sister and I went to Centro for her birthday. We experienced a lovely atmosphere delicious food and impeccable service. We were served by Rahemma and she was nothing short of lovely. If I could give her a ten star I would. Attentive, kind and warm all come to mind to explain our experience with her - just a very lovely young lady. Will definitely be going back!

Everything was delicious and the service was top notch.
Walked in last night with no reservation on a Saturday night. The hostess let us know there was a 20 minute wait, but that there was room in the bar if we didn't want to wait. We sat down and were taken care of immediately! Waitress (so sorry I forgot her name!) was attentive and helpful! We mentioned we were here for our anniversary weekend and she gave us all sorts of ideas of things to do in Des Moines while we are in town. Food was incredible!! We got the Sicilliana pizza, Italian-Herbed Cheese Dip, and Spicy Sauasage Rigatoni, all of which were perfectly seasoned and so delicious!!! Will definitely be stopping back here again sometime!

Great food and service! Huge portions, even at lunch!
Chicken Francese - chicken was good but pasta below was quite poor. Way overcooked and no flavor. I think the chef forgot salt in the pasta water. Also very frustrating when move from bar to dining. Got drink discount in the bar but not in dining room even though still in happy hour . we were literally 25 ft from where we were in the bar verses the dining room. That is not good for customer happiness. I won't go there again.
