This is undoubtedly the best dining establishment in des moines period. The staff are rop notch professionals and the food is a level above anything else outside 801 Grand. They make all of our special occasions amazing and the oyster selection is better than waterfront even. 6 or 7 different varieties isn't uncommon and all have tasting notes. Tuesday all nite happy hour is to die for. Try a vodka Martini extra dirty w/ Blu cheese olives. A dozen oysters for 24$ and the chefs choice charcuterie. Then a 5$ poutine with the same wine braised beef in the 30$ menu option! But with chunks of iowa farm cheese curds. This place is a solid 6 stars out of 5!! The manager is a sweetheart ❤️ tell her Christopher sent you!Edit: original lazy reviewThe best....come back soon!!!!Vegetarian options: They have vegetables? Try the Brussel sprouts! Lol...better yet don't be a vegetarian lol your missing out on so much joy!Parking: Street parking at meters, no biggie

Wonderful food for a date night. Not many vegan options but what they do have was delicious!

We love Django! I do feel like maybe it lost a half a step since relocating, but the duck frites are still firmly in “to die for” territory.

The food and service was so delicious/wonderful! I can’t praise it enough. However….eating out is not just about the food and service for me.The seating is terrible. I went for a romantic dinner with my husband and basically another couple we don’t know sitting 12 inches from me. So much for romance and hello super awkward.

The waiter was very sweet. My gratin was undercooked, and he switched it to mashed potatoes with lobster. Those were delicious with the strips of sautéed onions.Opera cake was not a delicate confection I expected, but rather a sturdy, butter-first, unperishable interpretation of the famous French pastry.Very pleasant atmosphere, great interior design, unobtrusive and courteous service.

Enjoyed their Happy Hour tonight. Surprised at the great choices (shrimp cocktail, duck frites, charcuterie, grilled Brussels, and more.) Excellent for sharing places tapas style. Server was excellent. The atmosphere is nice, but miss their old location.

10/10 impeccable every time. I dream about the scallop entree. Bread service is so simple but elegant.
