The red eye is a must try. It's dark, smooth, and will leave you feeling recharged. Great environment for work, or study.

Coffee was alright but the food was NOT! Wi-Fi didn’t work and the bathroom looked like a truck stop so basically you didn’t want to touch anything. The only saving grace was the vibe inside.

I love their breakfast bagels but when I have been going to this location recently they are always out of some thing every time I want something they don’t have it I was there the past two weeks a couple days there were no bagels, we went through the drive-through this morning to get breakfast sandwiches and they had no eggs really a coffee shop with no breakfast items they continue to be out of everything I don’t know if it’s poor management and they’re ordering or if it’s the food distributor but either way very disappointing, would love to continue to buy their products if they would have them in stock

I just love that Java Joe's Coffee uses American Made Fiestaware. We stopped in and stayed over an hour, mesmerized by tantric music and smell of hazelnut coffee.

It doesn't really make sense to poor piping hot coffee onto a cup full of ice.....and expect it to be iced coffee? The ice melted before I even got my hands on the cup, and when I did it was warm. I don't think they understand how ice works in hot liquids lol Cool environment, but I don't like watered down lukewarm coffee. I'll try something else next time.

Very long line on Saturday morning, 3 people working. If you just want coffee, go elsewhere

I went during the downtown farmers market and the line was out the door. It was really hot that day, but regardless the staff was very friendly and the drink was made just as I ordered it. I will for sure be returning.

Great little place to grab coffee. The inside is super funky. I loved it. The staff was excellent, and the prices beat Starbucks! Win. Win.

This is the best place to go for coffee and breakfast. The staff is wonderful and so friendly. They are willing to go above and beyond to make people feel comfortable and welcome.

This place was so beautiful, had a homey vibe to it. I had a chai latte and it was the best I’ve had. I don’t know when I’ll come back to Des Moines but I know I’ll come here again. I even got a tshirt.

Had a pedicure downtown today so decided to stop and get coffee here before our uber scooped is up. The whole building smelled terrible. The building and equipment appeared drab and dirty. 2 of our 3 coffee drinks were underwhelming and did not taste good. Service was good.

consistently late opening the store, 0700 is the posted time and it is 0750 and no one in sight.the place is dirty and needs a good cleaning. it is only a shell of the Java Joe's from a bygone era.
