“We have been coming to Chicken Coop for months on Thursdays for trivia and it is the highlight of our week! From their food (more specifically the boneless wings ? but never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered) to the service we are more than satisfied every week!!! It has quickly turned into our go-to place on not just Thursday nights, but any night we are looking for some good food and a place to host our friends! “The team at Cabaret is friendly, and the food selection is a welcomed plus in comparison to other bar restaurants in Ankeny. They have a great selection of sandwiches, including original and unique tenderloin options I highly recommend! If pizza is your thing, there's a good line of ingredient full and tasty options. Beyond the normal options found everywhere, you'll have more clever and appetizing options at Cabaret. The appetizers are good and sized as expected. Make sure to pair your evening with a cocktail off the menu, this is top notch. The vibe is good, better with a nice evening on the patio. The staff and people make this a place worth visiting if you're out. Very reasonable pricing and a fair amount of seating even in the peak hours.Vegetarian options: Cabaret has a meatless hamburger option that isn't the cheap black bean or compressed soy version. It's always prepared well and served best on a pretzel bun with some Cab fries!“
“Was close by for work so was looking up places you eat and found this place. Needless to say the sandwich was what pulled me in. Service was great very quick at seating me taking my order and bringing my food out. Let's just say this was much bigger than I thought but so good. Make sure to ask for extra napkins as it can get kinda messy. But my server brought me out some on request. The place looks very new and clean great lil spot in the corner of the building. Definitely will be back to try something new when I'm close.“

“This was my first time here. I ordered a good ole juicy hamburger. It was soooo good! One of my friends bought a pizza with everyone on it that looked and smelled delicious!! He had over half of a pizza to take home. We sat in a booth and had a fabulous waitor who was instantly refilling our drinks, grabbing something we needed before we asked and was hilarious. He kept us laughing the entire time we were there.Parking: They need more handicap parking available.“

“I came down to the Des Moines area for a concert by myself and stopped in Benchwarmers for karaoke only intending to stay for a couple hours. The bartenders and the people there were so amazing that I ended up staying until close! Thank you all for including me and making my first time in the area memorable! “Our food was tasty. Even the au jus was good, which can often get missed. Portions were more than plenty. My drink was great. We also saw the manager who gave a simple 'hi, how are you guys", but it's still nice. The music was not overly wild for being in a bar, and everyone seemed happy.“
