Listen. We showed up with 38 mins on the clock till close and they didn’t even hesitate. The food was fresh and flavorful and the service was energetic and immaculate. Id go back every time. Get the carnitas.
Started off with chips and salsa. The salsa had flavor but had very little spice.One thing I can say is my portions were large. Unfortunately the flavor was small. Everything was bland, I had to add hot sauce to get any flovor. I was half way through my chili renno befor I realized what it was. The beans with the meal were black beans instead of the normal pinto beans.The atmosphere was very bland and basic. If you didn't know better, you couldn't tell it was a Mexican restaurant.

As a person of Mexican ancestry I find that 95% of Mexican restaurants are meh at best. However Cactus is one of those good ones that are few and far between. Service is excellent and the decor and atmosphere are great. But what really matters is the food. Everything I've tried has been very good. Especially the Molcajete! Best in town.
