Love your pizza and prices cheaper than your competitor on most drinks. A few cents counts!! They also know how to correctly give proper change, as not the case at other stations. The best is I have never seen anyone on their phone instead of working! Just one suggestion, paint lines for your parking lot so customers don't pull in and take up 2 spaces! Chicken and Shrimp Milanese-with so much to bring home easily one more meal. Kids baked zeti with meatballs, easily 2 portions for a younger kid, maybe another half portion came home for my 7 year old. Cannoli-AMAZING. Finally 2 fountain drinks. Personal observations and highlights for me if you made it this far! (I have many family members in the restaurant business even owning high end restaurants in Denver). Although they were assigned specific tables, I have never been to a restaurant where every server acknowledges every table and adresses a need as they walk by. Servers seating new guest, filling drinks of other tables, clearing other tables, the list goes on and on! All working together, I did not see many tasks being completed alone. I didn’t not get a drink from the bar but I noticed the bar tender did not just fill the order and let it sit for the server. He personally took the drinks to the table if he noticed the server was busy(also I assume there may have been servers under 21 honestly). The service I witnessed tonight really showed a family, locally owned business with great leadership. Clearly employees who are well cared for and love their job. Loved that it was packed but I did not hear the table to either side of me very much. My daughter and I had a conversation and played a game while waiting for food just fine. Enjoyed that there were babies to elderly all seated in the same area around the restaurant. Let’s be honest most places seat all the families together away from couples, ect. This did not appear to be the case here. Big groups to a single person all treated with the same excellent service. Definitely family friendly or a place for a nice date night! We will be back A LOT! Pizza is next! That was the plan for tonight but that quickly changed when we looked at the menu. Looking forward to the many years this family restaurant will be feeding my family and many others! “Update: After a year or so since the previous review, we finally went back. This time it was easy to get a table and we enjoyed delicious food. Everything tasted fantastic and full of flavor. The only real downside is it's a bit pricey for small portions, but you're getting quality food. I've updated my score accordingly. For us, this would not be a regular visit due to the price point, but it will be for special occasions.-------Stopped by tonight for dinner around 7:15pm. 30 minute wait or immediate service at the bar. We chose the bar but sat there for at least 15 minutes without ever being greeted or waited upon. Ended up walking out. We'll try again with reservations to see how it goes. Plenty of places call themselves NY pizza, but don't come close. The pizza and pasta at TONY is authentic NY. The garlic knots and zepoles are perfect. It's our first stop whenever we're in Des Moines.“

They typically only deliver for large catering orders like our rehearsal dinner but we asked if there was any chance they would deliver the next day as well so we could have a "pizza cutting" instead of a cake cutting at our wedding reception. They waived their catering minimum since we ordered so many the night before and delivered one small cheese pizza for us to have ready as we entered our reception. And the bar tender was very prompt and helpful with ordering. They said 25 minutes for our large Crab Rangoon Pizza and cheesecake egg rolls. On the recommendation of another patron, we started out with Bloody Marys with pickle vodka and I highly recommend them - not too salty or thick. For our meals, my wife ordered the Italian Beef (see picture) and I went with the Chicago Dog (see picture). As always, we each shared tastes and found both dishes to be very good. Our neighbors ordered the Italian Beef with Cheese (see picture) and Chili Dog (see picture) - and both of them thought they tasted great, commenting especially about how good the chili was.
