“Beer was great, tried the hazy IPA, the pumpkin ale and the sour. The service is hard to judge since we went during Oktoberfest and it was hectic. The inside is very loud as there is an open metal exposed ceiling. So if you're looking for a place to have a chat I suggest sitting outside.”

“We were passing through town and stopped in for a coffee. I like just regular, good old coffee, and there's was very good. My wife likes the fancy coffee and she loved hers also. The staff is very friendly and the store is really nice. I definitely recommend checking it out.”

Salsa still awesome but portions were very much reduced and kinda disappointing so back to Des Moines and 3 hr. drive one way.”

“This is a late post, but one of my favorite stops when in town! They have the best view of boat traffic, tastiest drinks & the most flavorful food! I got a chicken sandwich this trip, friend got the fish tacos & both were amazing. Never had bad food. Depending on what event, holiday or time of year you visit the service can be over the top, but there is always a chance of waiting. Fear none tho, the wait is worth it!”

“On this particular visit everything was very very good. We arrived at about 11:20 am for lunch. Our party of 4 was seated right away. Our beverage orders were taken and fulfilled quickly. The menu offers many Mexican favorites and an American section as well. I ordered a Chicken Burrito with refried beans and rice. My wife had three shrimp enchiladas. The food came quickly and was plentiful and tasty. Service was great and we plan to return and try more menu items.”

“Family owned and operated. Authentic Mexican food with a full menu, bar, and daily lunch buffet. Great food and service (we will give allowance for our new waiters' learning curve)! I definitely recommend the buffet! Quality food that you don't usually see on buffets like fresh fajita (my favorite) mix and it might be the best salsa I've ever had. We'll be back soon!”

I did try the coney dog and the hot dog was a little leathery, not really something I order out and about usually so won't order again, but the root beer freezes and floats are a household favorite. Onion rings are great too. Service is always nice and friendly. You can tell management does a good job training their employees, employees look like they enjoy working there.”
