“Good place to stop for a bite or a beverage right off Highway 6 and just a couple minutes off of Interstate 80. Healthy selection of beer and the pork taco special was surprisingly authentic for an American bistro type place.”
“Super ice cream treats and a cut above your usual seasonal dairy stop! Soft serve and hard packed scoops with real flavor creativity (black raspberry pomegranate sorbet was on offer today). We only ate outside, but the restaurant looked cute!”
“Met the new owner John today, stopped in before the Freedom Festival parade. He said the old accounts we had weren't active anymore but offered me a discount. such a nice guy. was very sweet to my son too. Definitely will be returning. made a effort to even learn my name. this is a refreshing change!!”
“The wait staff here are all very nice and the restaurant is well taken care of. The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect! A great experience here at the Tiffin location.”
“Went on a Hawkeye game day and we got free Jell-O shots every single touchdown. It was amazing. Food was great, staff friendly, and ambiance was everything like home.”
“Very quick and attentive workers, restaurant was clean, soda fountain area was clean and neat, and food was good. Couldn't ask for more on a fast lunch break!”
“Joseph's is all about the experience. Each table is made private by sheer curtains that make the meal much more private than a typical restaurant. The servers are knowledgeable and happy to recommend a special or guide your food selection. Though the meals are a touch on the pricy side, this restaurant seems to be mostly reserved for a special occasion. Food options are typical for a high end steakhouse and many steaks follow a market price rather than described price. The French onion soup was some of the best I've had with a great ratio of broth to onion to cheese. It was a bit salty but certainly warmed up a cold march night. Originally I ordered the ribeye filet but was given a full ribeye at no additional charge. The steak was cooked to perfection and was delicious. With dessert options so board, everyone at the table will want to share a bite. The bread pudding was warm and flavorful. It came with a side of vanilla ice cream which helped to add moisture to the affair. Over all, great experience and I will definitely be back soon”
“I just played the club this past weekend and it was BANANAS! Great atmosphere, loved the retro, nostalgic decor and the Roxxy team was amazing. The party crowd was very engaged and TURNT UP all night. I had a great time.”
“Great selection of bourbons, whiskeys, and ryes. And gins and tequilas. I did not have the Pappy Van Winkle, but it's available. Nice selection of cocktails. Bring your own food.”
“Family Owned & Operated with TLC. Tremendously Good! Our go to in North Central Iowa! Love this place!Vegetarian options: Gluten Frees, Comprehensive Vegi soups and Salads”
“So mych love for this shop. The owners consistently go above and beyond for their customers and are lovely to chat with. Food is amazing and their energy drinks are awesome”
“This is an unassuming place. It was EXCELLENT!! SUPER CLEAN!! First time trying African food. We ordered a variety like tripe soup, yam stew with lamb, grilled goat with salad, fufu. It was all so good!! It did take time as there was only 1 person working but it was worth it!! The hibiscus juice was divine!”
“The Fufu is delicious! If you’re looking for wholesome comfort food you need I Love Fufu! Thank you for the menu recommendation. I’ll be back to try more! ❤️”
“This small place was absolutely delicious! We got take-out Friday night and came back for Sunday at lunch. The owner was extremely helpful and he took great care to ensure we had a good experience. The gyro meat was very tender and not at all gamey. Jeff's special, a spicy naan sandwich with chicken and a kind of sweet sauce, is a must try! (though it's not yet on the online menu). The chickpea salad was also amazing, with a kind of sweet sauce, some mango flavors, and a spicy kick with jalapeños.You'll need a fork to eat the gryo or sandwiches because they are so loaded up, but it's worth the mess. We will be going back again and again.”
“I love this jersey mikes. The workers are always over the top friendly, efficient, and everything is always fresh and tastes great. The inside is always clean and a fairly busy location.”
“The Green House -my home away from home. Pic of Emily, her husband & me today. They & entire staff have been So Supportive as I navigate life after the death of my wife. Thank You All!”
“Was taken out to dinner to celebrate graduating graduate school, so I don't know how much the bill was, but I absolutely loved the Rib Eye steak. They did it rare just the way I like it on the first try. Bison meatball app was killer, totally a vibe. Also, both their Manhattan and Old Fashioned were well made drinks that paired well with the rustic food. I chose Mac and cheese for my side and liked it, but ended up taking most of it home in a box. Other guest with me ordered salmon and said it was perfectly cooked so I included pictures as well.Definitely recommend for a date or a celebration of some kind, even if you're going alone I imagine the vibe could work well.”
“This restaurant is actually well priced for its quality.I loved the Vegan Rueben sandwich I had. It was made with a home made bread that really made the difference.Vegetarian options: Menu is all Vegan”
“The food is amazing, anything you get will be great. Drinks are also awesome. The waiting staff is wonderful and I have never had a problem with anyone there in the probably 100 times I've been there. Clean and tidy restaurant, selection of tvs with different things playing. During Covid they had the best system that I witnessed during the pandemic when all things closed and I picked up food for my family close to once a week during that. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant, and you know that means something with how many we have”
“I’m a dad of three young children, so I mostly go to restaurants where my kids feel comfortable and won’t complain about how the food looks, tastes or smells (if you have a picky eater child, you know exactly what I am talking about here.)Crêpes de Luxe is a place that all three of my kids, and I’m talking ages ranging from 4 to 12 years old, ask to go back to over, and over, and over again. The space is cozy and the owners are beyond friendly. They remember me and my kids as recurring customers and they always greet us with a big smile and a welcoming attitude. The food is always tasty and they have a wide variety of sweet and savory crêpes that makes it guaranteed for you to find something you like. Mine and my kids favorite is l’océan.I love their “open kitchen” sort of concept where you are able to see the chef preparing and cooking your crêpes. Somehow it connects you to both the food and the people who prepare it. I find it resembling of European and North African (where I grew up) restaurants style. It makes for a friendlier and more authentic environment that goes beyond just the food. The décor is also both warm and uplifting, makes it the right spot for a cold winter date night dinner or a sunny summer day lunch. If you haven’t been to Crêpes de Luxe yet, you are missing out.”
“I had the fruit salad and brisket sandwich. Both were delicious! The fruit was ripe and fresh cut. We also shared a piece of the chocolate cake between three of us and still had leftovers! It was a super generous helping and very decadent. The atmosphere is quaint and fun, with beautiful light fixtures. The gals serving us were friendly and helpful great job and thank you!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp entrance in the back. I recommend bringing help or calling ahead, as you'll need to maneuver the gift shop area. Totally doable with care, just be aware.”
“First time trying Orchard Green and the food was delicious! They have a nice ambience upstairs as others have mentioned. We were a party of 4 and ordered the focaccia, walleye fish, halibut, roasted bison and the filet. I was debating between the scallops and bison and decided on the bison which was so good! It was a lot of food and I was so stuffed. The server we had was good. He was an older gentleman and he was attentive. It can get busy here but you can also make a reservation online. There is free valet parking where you drive to the back entrance and park right in front of the door and someone will come out. Apparently, they park your car where they can find a spot as well. We ended up doing street parking so you have to pay for meter unless you find free parking a few blocks away. Free parking in downtown Iowa City is harder to come by these days for those folks who are used to free parking in the outskirts of Iowa City.”
“Classic dishes with creative twists. The service was friendly, efficient, and they ALL worked together as a team to make our dining experience enjoyable.Had a vegan friendly dinner meal but no vegan dessert option.Note: I recommend that you add a warning notice that the Princes Hot Chili Chicken Sandwich has Szechuan chilies that will make your tongue go numb. Delicious!”
“I love their ice cream flavors, And their other options, Great Service They are Pretty nice ! Love the blueberry cheesecake flavor it’s always so good, and love going there for a treat all the time w my family ! :)”
“Great breakfast at The Encounter Café this morning! They had a coconut white mocha for a special and it’s one of the best coffees I’ve ever had! Breakfast croissant was excellent too!”
“Amazing fun place! We had our first date at a Double Tap in Cedar Falls, IA so of course on August 16th 2022 when we got married we had to have our reception at the Double Tap in our local Iowa City, IA. Super fun drinks, great games, great pizza and super fun bartenders. Best first date and even better wedding!!!”
“Went with some friends who had heard great things. The food was outstanding. My husband ordered Ramen in a blanket (ramen noodles on a plate topped with tonkatsu I believe) by mistake thinking he had ordered regular ramen but he says it was the best misorder ever and he is definitely ordering again next time. I had the teriyaki salmon poke bowl and it was so flavorful and filling without being too much. Their pickles are amazing, the gyoza was amazing, and the atmosphere is so laid back. A little pricey but when you go with friends one person pays for the whole table via their online ordering and payment, which is fine just a little unexpected. Either way we will be going back!”
“Love the food and drinks, ive always had a good time there! I get the food there quite a bit, perfect craving buster! But the real sell is of course staff, good service, very personable. :)”
“Great sushi for very reasonable prices! Looking forward to coming back and trying the bowls sometime too!Dietary restrictions: Was able to substitute for df options on rolls.”
“We were driving through town and decided to give them a call. We learned they sell their products inside of Hy-Vee in the area. We stopped and grabbed a pack of gluten free sugar cookies, gluten free puppy chow, and a gluten free strawberry cupcake w/strawberry frosting. One word… AMAZING! They don’t taste gluten free at all!”
