Big Sky Bread Iowa

I am fairly new to the Des Moines area, but what I do enjoy is the small town charm in a big city, which includes finding a local bakery to get fresh bread. This hidden gem is the most amazing bakery you’ll find in Central Iowa! Locally and family owned, their breads, pastries, and especially the granola are always fresh and delicious! Their product is available in some grocery stores, however they’re conveniently located in Urbandale, so a quick drive to buy straight from the source is the better choice! Wow. Have driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped. Got a loaf of the French peasant bread at HyVee the other day, and I’m addicted to it. I’ve eaten it plain, toasted, with butter, without butter, as a sandwich, as a grilled cheese sandwich, as a snack, as a meal, you name it. Just. Plain. Delicious. If this bread was a person, it would be my new best friend. Highly recommend.
