“Recently a friend and I biked to Cafe Dodici and it took three times longer than expected due to a nasty headwind and poor trail surface. We arrived near closing, but the staff graciously allowed us to dine anyway. I had touted this restaurant to my friend, and we were so looking forward to this meal; I am so glad the staff was so accommodating and welcoming, because it was absolutely delicious. The perfect rich reward; so flavorful and luxurious. The service is flawless and the atmosphere is top-notch. One of the best restaurants in all of Iowa, for my money. Thank you for having us!”

“Sigh. I swear I’m not out to get Washington. The third place I visit for something amazing and I get something average. I mean at least it wasn’t awful…I got the gold rush ice cream. Idk what I tasted, but it looked like it had caramel, and maybe vanilla and chocolate. I’m not sure the flavors blended. It tasted sweet. Like just sugar sweet…The place is cute and the seating outside is nice. Staff is friendly. Price was fine, portions are good, texture of the ice cream was great! Flavor was just a neutral sweet. Weird.”

“As a native Texan, I'm more used to Tex-Mex food. This place does a good job, but there are subtle differences in food preparation.One issue I found is that they tend to not hear specific requests when ordering. This may either be due to a language barrier or an impatient waiter/waitress. With a few more visits, I am sure I could assess the issue and remedy, should it be on my end.”

“We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday after hiking. We enjoyed a nicely made Cobb salad & fresh grilled pork tenderloin sandwich. And the cherry chocolate cake was delicious! Amazing price for all of that, and quick, friendly service too! Will visit again.”
