The man running the restaurant with no wait staff was a bit harried. We ate at the bar Friday and our hostess was a very charming bartender. Saturday an early dinner found a harried host/waiter. The food didn't suffer. Both nights food was outstanding. Shrimp and bruschetta Friday. Pizza Saturday. Outstanding!!!!!
Tim is the chef on weekends and i will give him straight kudos. He told me to come in and try their Detroit style pizza and it was amazing. Im all about making sure and try the local businesses and Basal has won me over for good pizza. The atmosphere is very eclectic and very cool. Again Tim is the man. Thank you for telling me to give them a chance.

Good brick oven pizza. Only a few selections of pizza to choose from out of deep dish or hand tossed. Hand tossed is 10 inches. Deep dish feeds 2 people. Very limited bar - tall boys, regular vodka, rail whiskey, rail rum, water, canned soda. $30 for a Busch light tall boy, a Moscow mule, and a 10 inch sausage pizza.
