“Classic Dive bar in both prices and atmosphere. They tend to overkill it on seasonal decorations. Cheap drinks that are burnt and the lighthouse special pizza is the best thing going in town. The best part is it is a cash only business. Yes, that is a good thing to me. Cash only means lower prices.“

“We stop in every time we stay and the Comfort Inn 1 block away. The service is top notch and the food is great, especially the burgers and the nachos. The prices are also reasonable. We always have a few drinks from the bar and have not been disappointed yet.“

“Kitchen was really rough to our waitress tonight. Put her behind, and told her incorrect information about the own places menu. It honestly came across as the kitchen staff bullying the new girl.The food is 5 star, especially the Irish nachos and social burger. It would be even better if they remember everything that is advertised in their menu for what is ordered. I will also add that there does seem to be about 1 thing forgotten or not seen by the kitchen staff even when the waitresses do write it down correctly.I understand that it can get hectic in a kitchen, but it should not be a 50% chance that everything is going to be correct for the food. Either the kitchen or the waitresses need to be checking the orders before letting them leave the counter.The drinks are always amazing and the food is delicious. While it is worth coming to as a hole in the wall restaurant, it's best if you memorize what you order so you know you actually get what you ordered.“
“I had a pepperoni pizza with banana peppers and it was surprisingly good. I was delivering for door dash on this day and Marco's was my last delivery. It smelled so good in my car. I was like wow I can't believe I've never had Marco's. So I bought one and it was awesome. Very impressed!“
“Ordered two pizzas, one stuffed crust with extra pepperoni and one tastemaker with 3 toppings and some breadsticks.First off, the pizza...amazing. It was cooked through, pepperoni was crispy but not too crispy, cheese was melty, everything was absolutely perfect on both pizzas.Second, the breadsticks. Amazing. Cut all the way through so we didn't have to awkwardly pull them apart. Tasted great, warm and fluffy. 10/10Finally.... the pineapple. Seriously, bravo. 10/10. I'd give you 6 stars if I could. “My brother and I grew up in the Waterloo area and only come back for family events. We haven’t had a pizza from here in over 30 years. We didn’t know they closed at 8:00pm and it was already 7:45. Our waitress was awesome and fun, and George himself made us a pizza. You know how your memory works, so we didn’t know what to expect or how good it would actually be. I’m more than happy to say it was better than remembered! They made us feel comfortable even way past hours and can’t say enough about the pizza. Thanks for another great memory!“

“Big salads with meals. The Make Your Own Burger was really good. Fries were good. The couple with us had the Reuben and thought it was good. One nice thing to mention was that both couples were splitting meals and the restaurant served the half sandwiches to us on separate plates so we each had our own plates. Not everyplace does that. Good service from our waitress even though more and more people were coming in and they were a little short staffed.“

“We have been huge fans for the last 18 years. We have moved away 11 years ago, but every time we are in town, we absolutely have to stop and get Geno’s pizza. Our kids have grown up, and they too go to Geno’s if they ever come back to Iowa. The pizza is absolutely amazing, and the owner is very personable and remembers us and our order even though we only come a couple of times a year now!“
