This is the most authentic latin restaurant my family and I have visited in the U.S.A. The rice, plantains, chicken, and seafood were all made to perfection, and we also enjoyed the coconut-crusted banana and ice cream dessert. Aguas frescas were notably made by hand and not from a pre-mix. Prices were fair for a nice meal ($75 for three people), and portions left us with more for the next day. Strongly recommend over any other Mexican or chain restaurant and will make you want to visit Ecuador!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available and portions very generous with great options!

Had dinner here with the family and everyone loved the food. Had Camarones Al Ajillo, and it was nice and spicy. The stew was thinner than I expected, but the taste was awesome. The south Indian in me would have called it Shrimp Rasam. They had a special drink made with "Zhumir" a sugarcane based alcohol, but I elected to have Mojito with Zhumir (instead of Rum), and it was excellent. Tried fried plaintains and Ceviche Camarones for appetizers, both were amazing. Tried little bit of dishes ordered by family members and everything was very good.

We had the bandeja vegetariana and the flan, everything was very good! Our server was friendly answering our questions and our food came out quickly. The restaurant seems to have been updated recently, it was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be returning!

My family really likes this place but it just didnt suit my palate. I thought the flavors were a little bland but my family raves about it. Give it a try.

This place deserves to be recognized as one of the top 5 best in all of the Des Moines area. This is an amazing family restaurant serving up real authentic flavor from Ecuador. I met my wife in Ecuador and we would always come here to get the flavors our host moms brought to the table!! Awesome vegan options, and amazing meat plates as well. Everything is to die for!!! Do yourself a favor and discover this placeVegetarian options: Try the vegetarian platter!! So good and I always have leftovers.
