best NY style pizza i've ever had! their veggie pizza is fantastic. super simple menu, but sometimes that's all you need! not every restaurant needs a huge flashy menu, you know? i took one star off because some of the staff seem annoyed with having to serve customers, or they seem bored, or like they generally just don't want to be there. but that doesn't hinder my experience here because nobody's ever rude or mean--just bored. great little pizza joint downtown, and great prices!!!
As a New York native, I know New York pizza. I've had the best the city has to offer. When we moved to Boise several years ago, we were apprehensive about whether anyone here really knew how to make New York style pizza. Guido's does. More than that--its pizza and ambiance rival Joe's in Times Square. If you've been to Joe's, you know this is a high compliment. You can take the girl out of Brooklyn but you can’t take away her need for real N.Y. Pizza. I remember when Guido’s first opened. It’s been my favorite pizza place ever since.
