Restaurantji's Eagle recommendations for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“A wonderful "under the radar" Mexican food dining place. Food, Service, and Atmosphere are all A+. Super clean and friendly and the owner is hands-on so you can be sure you will have a great experience. Highly recommend the fish tacos and pork carnitas tacos with a side of pinto beans. That is what we had but my guess is everything is delicious!!“
“Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of space for wheelchair users, the tables are fairly spaced out so that helps a lot! We definitely appreciate restaurants that aren't crammed full of seats you can hardly walk through let alone roll a wheelchair around, so that was great!?“
“Ordered the Carne Asada dinner. Worried of course whether the meat was going to be overcooked, tough and chewy. It was perfectly cooked with amazing seasoning. Lunches can be a bit rushed here, plates not hot, but for the steak I'm leaving 5 stars.“
“I usually don't review on a one-time visit, ESPECIALLY for take-away...BUT, this was an exceptional experience. (I will update once I go for a sit-down meal too.). Ordered a chile relleno meal (with rice, beans, etc.) and a pork enchilada. The young lady who took the order (her mom and dad work there too--more on that in a minute) got everything right, asked about timing, and was very pleasant. I had to call back to delay pick-up--this time mom answered, and was extremely nice about it. When I arrived, they got the order together in minutes--I LOVED that it wasn't sitting on a counter, getting cold and mushy! They had it almost-ready-to-go, which was PERFECT. Everything, including beans and rice, was temperature hot, well prepared, and flavorful. (I say again, even the beans and rice!) The chile relleno was fantastic, breading flavorful and light, with the pepper texture just right. Plenty of cheese. The pork chunks in the enchilada were tender and tasty, good ratio with tortilla, and the sauce (green) was tasty and complementary. When I arrived, I saw on the menu board that they also serve menudo and pozole! These are rare. Even better, Mom and dad each make one of them (I can't remember who makes which), on most days! I'm used to only finding these dishes on weekends, if I can find them at all. Based on my first experience, I can't wait to try these, and other dishes. The menu board seems to indicate that there are periodic special items, so be sure to check on those. I agree with another reviewer, who complimented this location's old-school vibe! It's that, in a good way. Clean and NOT noisy too. There must have been a major change in management here, because I note that the one and two-star reviews are quite dated. Give this family-run, neighborhood restaurant a try!“
“This was my first visit to KB's to and I tried their Ketchum steak burrito. It was a solid 4 stars. Not the best burrito I've had in the valley, but with the help of some hot sauce, it was definitely good. I liked the fresh ingredients and the steak was nice and tender. It was only lacking a little in the flavor department - the spices could go up a notch or two in my opinion.“
