“Real deal Italian spot. From the outside looks like a convenience store with Illinois Lottery displays but when you walk in, a classic Italian deli/grocery shop with dine-in area, a large spread of pre-made sandwiches, desserts, other homemade goodies, and a fridge/freezer full of take-home food and meals. Also nice to see they have a drive-thru. Pictured here is a 6" Paesano on their homemade bread with everything on it as well as hot giardiniera. Subs are made-to-order and you can see the cooks doing so. Meats are nicely portioned and the sub itself was not overly stuffed. Ordered this as a combo (which I could probably do without next time) which includes a bag of choice of chips and a fountain drink from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Definitely want to try out their Serino Special Sub, Eggplant Parmesan Sub, Caprese Sub, or even their Pizzas next time. Their cannolis and cookies looked to die for so will need to grab those also.“
“We order delivery from here about once a month. The food is always hot and delicious. The delivery drivers are always so friendly and personable. The food always arrives at the estimated time of often earlier. We have ordered pizza for a couple parties also and everyone we have talked to there is great! I would highly recommend!“
“Okay I have to share this ! Since moving from Schaumburg in September to Itasca . I've been on an endless pizza quest to find a new spot that doesn't require a long drive to call my own go to place for great Pizza Wings and what ever else I may want to try. After trying Itslian Pizza Kitchen, Papa Johns, and Lou Malnati's. all left me still looking for a go to place for Pizza! WELL I'M here to report I FOUND THAT PLACE IN PAPA RAY'S Pizza in Addison!! The Mgr was very friendly at the front counter and after hearing how many Pizza places I've tried in my new neighborhood. He stated matter of factly that I had found what I was looking for HANDS DOWN ! I CANT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR PIZZA,WINGS AND GARLIC BREAD !!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DROP IN AND TRY PAPA RAY'S Pizza in Addison!! TRUST ME!! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID !!!“
“Open, very, summery atmosphere! Feels like you're grabbing dinner on vacation to places like Palm Beach or Miami. Such a great place for a brief escape from Chicago winters. Elegant but still casual. Bright colors, nothing dark and dingy like several if the more old school Italian restaurants. Food is excellent! A good variety. I had the linguine with clans and I loved how it wasn't saturated in butter and garlic. Tasted like it does in Italy! Bread was fresh, beet salad was surprisingly delicious, and the Gelato was some of the best I ever had. We got hazelnut and pistachio. Coffee was good and strong. Service was good though we had to ask for several things which should have been already at the table, like grated cheese, salt and pepper, sharing plates should have come with the dessert as they gave enough spoons to know we were all sharing, etc. I've been here when it's jam packed and the service has always been great! This time it was less busy and we had to ask the bus boy for things. But, that being said, the waitress was very polite and immediately took care of requests when she was present. I wanted a table by the window and the host willingly accommodated us by making a 4 top for us. One plus from coming on a lesser busy time was that it was much quieter,l. Usually it's pretty loud in there when it's busy. But I always appreciate the uplifting vacation like atmosphere! I've never been disappointed, and this is probably my 4th time eating at Lucia Rose and will not my last.“
“Nardi's!!! I finally got to try out my hubby's childhood dream pizza!! And boy was it dreamy!! Sauce, toppings, crust, flavor.... excellente (in my awkward Italian accent)!!! Some say change is good, but in Nardi's case, NO!!! Don't ever change!! You're still in business since 1957!! You've gotta be doing everything right!!! Well, if you expand and grow your business out to Mesa, Arizona, then I approve of this change! ;) I only did take out, but service was great! Carol (not sure if she's one of the owners) was very knowledgeable and helpful! She gave me some really helpful tips...if u want gluten free crust, the cauliflower crust is their Numero uno crust! Nardi's is a small family owned restaurant, so don't expect a big super fancy interior. They have a very small quaint interior with a few small tables. I was super happy with my sausage & mushroom thin crust pizza, so if u want real authentic Chicago style pizza, Nardi's has your back! Don't forget to bring cash! Paying with cash saves you a $3.99 service fee for swiping a card!!“
“Our meal last night was excellent..... I may be a bit biased as I have been eating their pizza since the mid 1960's : ) But last night was not an exercise in nostalgia - it's still the best pizza anywhere.Anyway we were thrilled to celebrate our wedding anniversary there! Thanks again for another fine meal...“
“I love trying new cafes and this place is super cozy and they have amazing coffee! I got a caramel cappuccino and it’s not your typical capp it was really flavorful and strong. also, the service is nice, they gave us free cherry cookies YUM.“
“Great pizza and staff! Never met such accommodating people. Food is amazing and like nothing I have ever tried before. As a fellow jain, it's extremely hard to find jain options let alone extraordinary jain food, but their options surpass all of my expectations. Another plus is the beautiful older daughter of the family who is extremely experienced in both service and cooking.“
“Not around the corner from me, but definitely worth the drive. The pizza crust is the perfect amount of thin and fluffy with a slight sweetness to the dough. The crust is beautifully crispy and yet tender! Tonight we had the bruschetta mix which is a choice of 3 different bruschetta of our choosing. We tried the traditional, the caponata, and the Rockefeller. I really liked the Rockefeller which is a nice combination of spinach, Swiss and Asiago cheese. We ordered the Mediterranea Salad and it was so pretty. The salad was dressed well with just the right amount of sun-dried tomatoes and Kalamata Olives. I am not a personal fan of olives, but these had some really nice flavor to them. The pizza we ordered a traditional Margherita which was with a red sauce and the Biancaneve which is with a white sauce. Even though the ingredients were similar they tasted completely different and so good! I wish there was more cheese on both pizzas. They seemed weirdly dispersed so some slices only had a few 1/2 pieces. They do use fresh mozzarella in both these pizzas so don't expect to have that cheesy pull of shredded mozzarella. We sat in the side room which had a big screen on one side and there were music videos being played. Since the restaurant wasn't very crowded the music seemed really loud making it a bit hard to have a conversation. We were seated at the far end of the room, close to the restrooms and the music was still loud. The service was spot on. Our server checked back often, she gave us time to look over the menu and she didn't rush us as we were thinking about each course. Next time we will have to try dessert. The crepes sound delicious.“
