I tried Walmart pickup - it was awful! Employees were rude! I was hesitant and tried Sams hoping I was not going to get similar experience. Well, I am a FAN of Sams in Cal City! They are awesome! Employees are super friendly! Pickup is fast and organized, never wait more than 5 minutes. Thank you Sams! My faith has been restored!

This is my go to Sam’s Club! On this evening I purchased some large Christmas items. Demarco, a young sales associate was out corralling carts and I asked him if he could help me get them into the truck. Not only did he get them both in, he had an awesome conversation with my 6 year old grandson Noah. He introduced himself to my grandson and told him his name. This young man noticed my grandson’s iPad cover and the Super Hero debate began

Went to this Sam's Club off of Torrence Ave in Calumet City. I thought the facility opened at 8am only to find out that it opened at 8am for "first responders". This term is an oxymoron. Anyone working outside the home is a first responder. Not just police, fire fighters, nurses or doctors. By the way, the opening time has changed from 8am to 9am now to 10am (on Sunday). These confusing opening times, are a source of the problem. Ownership is to blame, not Management. Myself and several other patrons were refused entry. Five to six people went in between 8am and 10am. This was a complete waste of resources. Five to six customers on the inside while ten to twelve patrons waiting outside. Quite a few people left altogether. A long line formed because of this unnecessary "policy". Approximately thirty people or more. As the time got closer to 10am a few people walked up, straight from their cars, to ask personnel what the procedure was for entering the building. An employee told one gentleman "There is no line, when we open you all can just walk up". A few of us at the front of the line were stunned! Why would an employee make such a statement? Here we are standing in line, descent and in order, and then an employee tells a few people just to walk up, when the doors open! Where is the Manager? Why would any one promote a stampede of customers to rush the door? Sam's Club Ownership is to blame, once again. The "two hours" that people stood around waiting, could and should have been, two hours of customers coming and going, without delay and frustration. Sam's Club Ownership is to blame here as well. These problems are caused by Ownership. Your narrow view of "the customer" is unprofessional, callous, and frankly, disrespectful. Your staff is a reflection of your ownership. It is woefully lacking. Sam's Club and Wal Mart are monopolies, and this is what happens when companies become "too big too fail". If I am not mistaken these two entities were allow to remain operational while other businesses were forced to close during the initial Covid 19 outbreak. Companies selling the same type of products and services were not allow to make a profit just because they weren't huge conglomerates like Sam's Club or Wal Mart. Instead of showing appreciation of customers loyalty Sam's Club and Wal Mart have showed nothing but contempt and disregard for customer. This is unacceptable and should not and will not be, (at lest by me) tolerated. I would remind every customer to remember how you are treated at these stores. Spend your hard earned money in different establishments. That way No One Company will ever take you for granted! Show them, through your buying power, that they should be thankful for the business that you bring to them and not that you should be grateful for the honor of shopping at their stores" We are the customers. We have the last and final say on quality merchandise, and customer service.

I normally go to the Sam's in Merrillville, but I was in the River Oaks area so decided to stop by to pick up a few things.. Staff was rude and Carts all over the parking lot. I walk in and no carts at the entrance except a long bed cart. I spot 2 long beds near the cell phone display. No one was around so I decided to take it. Walking down the store for about 2 minutes and an employee yells "SIR! Sir! You took my cart!" I turn around and I said "I'm sorry, no one was around and there aren't carts in the cart bay" He takes the cart from me and walks away while mumbling "well this one I left at the cell phone display, you're going to have to go get another one". Seriously? If he needed it so bad, he could have offered to get me another one, or not be so rude about it. But what employee literally takes a cart away from a customer???? I've worked retail before and if this ever happened to me, I would have let it go, customer comes first. I'd rather do my shopping at Merrillville Sams from now on.

I am a regular customer at this Sam's. I shopped there and was disappointed with my experience. For some reason they were only open until 5:00. Not knowing this. Arrived around 4:15 pm. I instantly heard announcements that they were closing. I rushed through the store and found most of what I needed. Checkout was a nightmare. I mistakenly go into the self checkout line. I made it through but was not enjoying the experience. After I loaded up the car I wanted to go back in to use the rest room. They wouldn't let me because it was after 5:00 pm. Needless to say, I won't be going back there unless absolutely necessary.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST Sam's Club I have EVER been to. I waited 15 minutes in a line for service trying to purchase a laptop. The manager said she would be back. After 15 minutes she returns and says sorry for the wait but someone is coming with it. Another storm tonight at 15 minutes pass and she tells some guy to take us to the cage. Some woman was standing there with the tag in her hand just like a statue. She tells me that they should've sent us to her but she didn't have the laptop. She proceeds to ask another girl to pull it. The woman scanned about 20 boxes only to say they must be all out. UNORGANIZED WORTHLESS STORE!! Customer service STINKS!

You can buy in bulk if needed or simply stock up on things you use everyday without making that weekly trip for toilet paper or paper towels... Excellent place to get items if entertaining guests...

You've gotta love buying in bulk! It's a one stop shop with great prices. You can get everything from furniture, clothes, medicine, eye glasses, food, and the list goes on. No bags so be sure to grab boxes for your items. They now have self checkouts as well which I always find convenient for smaller purchases.

This is my second time visiting this particular Sam's Club. Throughout the rest of the club was presentable. However, when I decided to grab a bite to eat, the area was extremely untidy. I wiped my table down with hand sanitizer before I sat down. The concession area was awful. It was not clean and it needed to be restocked. I watched several customers look around for lids, plastic ware, and straws. As a result, one decided to go under the cabinet to serve himself. Finally, a team member made her way to the concession area to restock. But, she didn't clean the counters that were nasty and sticky. I've been to many Sam's Club and plenty of them are filthy and nasty in the concession area. I'm hoping this review is useful to the team members working in this area to pay close attention to this area more often. Okay, so I stood in the customer service, line for a transaction. As I walked up I noticed that there were some baskets with meat sitting in them. That's a HUGE TURN OFF for me! Whenever meat should be returned, should it be returned immediately? Why should it sit around and possibly become a tragedy for an unsuspecting member that may purchase it? Hey, I know that I don't want to be the one to buy it! Please, keep the consumers in mind no one can afford to get sick. That's it for now. I hope that I will have a better experience and update this review on a positive note.

Terrible- no one answers the phone Been there two times to order pizzas to feed a group of people, and what do you know, the food court would not sell me whole pizzas. Because they were low on pizzas- meanwhile, I could see 10 pizza's ready to make on the rack. Basically, the food cafe is terrible. There is no doubt this place is miss managed, and has poor customer service/ attitude.

Majority of the items are sold in bulks and some of the items are too pricey
