Rudest staff in all of C-U. Maybe go with it and become like Ed Debevic's since you can't seem to find any friendly staff. I've given this place a shot pre and post-COVID and it might be the only thing unchanged by the pandemic. Also if you pay cash, demand the change counted back to you by staff. If you pay with a card, check for multiple charges. Not sure if stealing money is done maliciously or just out of incompetence, but it happened regardless and seems other reviewers experienced it too.

multiple times now, bartenders at barrelhouse have not taken the time to make drinks correctly. my favorite drink here is the pineapple jalapeño marg. it is supposed to come with jalapeno and a chamoy rim. every time i order this, i am just given a plain margarita and dismissed by one of bartenders that i have to ask for the jalapeño and chamoy, despite it being a part of the drink description ??

This bar is located in Downtown Champaign. It serves some good beverages. The ambiance is really cool with a mixed age crowd. Overall it's a great place to hangout and drink.

Love the atmosphere! Drinks were on point and the crowd wasn't to bad when I went on a Thursday. Bartenders were friendly and the group we were with even brought in food from a food truck!

I am not sure why I’m being asked to rate this place because I’ve never been there. It looks cool and the rooftop seating area seems fun. I think I went to the men’s clothing store across the street and bought a $145 shirt because I was in a hurry to an event.
