I live close to this place and have been visiting for years. I keep hoping the food will be better every time. But it's really not good and prices too high for poor quality. Go to Fernando's instead!

Their salsa is authentic, except for reduced spiciness due to Illinoisians' tender palates. A few more jalepeños and it would be perfect. Also, they have Dos Equis Amber beer on tap. I can't comment on the rest of their menu since that's all I had. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed my visit. Try it. You might like it.

I’m from Chicago so was skeptical going to a Mexican restaurant but this was a delicious meal. The beans and rice were tasty and the salsa was addicting. I had a steak burrito and it came with yummy sauce on top. Silvestre was my waiter and he was very nice and attentive.

Terrible experience! Food was late and not good at all! Customer service was absolutely horrible! They just stood around and looked at us as if I wasn’t a customer! I was very confused because they weren’t welcoming at all! Need training bad, and quick! Hope they can figure it out quick!

El Toro at the Fields was the perfect place for a Sunday afternoon meal with the family. The Fuentes family prepares great authentic Mexican fare at an affordable price. The service was friendly and speedy. Our server went out of his way to provide our granddaughter with paper and crayons. We will return.

Ordered steak burrito to go. Got half chicken burrito and half pork. This is by far worst rice I ever had and does not taste like Mexican rice. The textured was mushy.
