I've been a fan of Porgy's for at least a decade. They have the best BBQ sauce in town, the meat is decent and the fries are wonderful. The staff is always friendly.Try a Lemon Shake-Up.It's a bit different now since the pit went away, but the food is still great.Parking: Easy to park, easy to turn out.

Champaign-Urbana has much better BBQ options than this place. Brisket was dry and extremely thin with no visible smoke ring on any of the meat. Was closer to roast beef than real brisket. It was covered in a 'mild sauce' that could not possibly consider itself BBQ sauce. The baked beans were absolutely straight from a can. The coleslaw slightly resembled something house made, but wasn't very good either. The lemon shake-up was lukewarm lemon water with almost no sweetness at all. French fries came with the sandwich, however after eating them I wish they didn't. Not good at all.
