If you like Waffle House, you'll feel right at home here. It's a very typical diner setting. Probably one of the last places to have a smoking section back when it was acceptable (it doesn't anymore). Food was great. Great view of a busy street area for slight entertainment. There was even a homeless/sign holder guy out there on the corner. So you really get the full city feel, but in a diner setting. Excellent. The 4-star was because there's a juke box (completely unnecessary in an already packed house), that decided to turn itself on and really ruin the moment while me and my wife were trying to have lunch together. Get rid of it. It's a diner not a bar. Otherwise good place.

Will come back here. Great food, service, and prices for amount. Quickly seated and served. Plates taken quickly. Allowed me to edit to be dairy free. 100% coming back and trying more!Dietary restrictions: Allowed me to edit the diner stack to be cheese-less and made with sausage instead of beef patty.Parking: Diner is on corner of parking lot with slanted one way parking for free.Kid-friendliness: Booths that seat 4 at a good height for kiddos. Diner wraps around and you could sit in the outer edge to be off to yourself some. Also has kids menu.

MEAL: Breakfast ORDER TYPE: Dine-in EST.: 1983 FIRST LOCATION: 1983 - Champaign, IL MY ORDER EXPERIENCE Am I in a movie or real life? Do you know this place runs for 24*7 365 days? As we went in, just like my buddy said, the place was crowded, and we had to wait in line to be seated. 15 mins passed, and we were finally seated. The menu was old school printed on paper which I liked. As I was Vegan for a day, I had a hard time finding a vegetarian meal. I asked the server for their house special, but it turned out to be meat. Upon investigating and scanning through I found Harvest Burger from their Sandwiches section and ordered a limited time Caramel Milk Shake. The Harvest Burger came with Bread where patty and cheese was placed in between. On the side they gave me onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles with mayonnaise. Along with the burger I also got hash browns. The burger was soft, and all the veggies looked fresh. Mayonnaise was the best. The Caramel Milkshake was delicious. As we were eating, one of the staff explained about the Diner's history. The fun facts were that the diner opened in 1983 and since then the diner has not been renovated except for the roof. So, we were experiencing and seeing the same diner from 1983. Isn't that amazing? The owner wants to keep it that way. The other interesting thing is all the tables are around the kitchen area where there are gaps. The server can come between the gaps where he can take and serve the order in the quickest possible way. Overall, the food was good. The staff was humble. This was my first time going to a diner, where it reminded me of the diner from the 2 Broke Girls TV series. The prices are super reasonable and affordable considering the students coming in which was thoughtful of the place. Sometimes, finding a parking spot can be challenging if there are any major events going on in the college. I will go back again for more experience. I would suggest this place to anyone who has old school experiences.

A typical greasy spoon diner as far as the food goes, but with amazing service. The woman who waited on our table was super patient, and made sure that all of our orders were correct before putting the ticket in (no mean feat with the grill behind her and 4 hard of hearing older people asking questions and talking over each other ordering the food).Vegetarian options: All food is cooked on a single grill, but there are a host of non-meat offerings.Kid-friendliness: Not specifically kid friendly, but I would feel fine bringing my kids next time
