“I usually visit here at least one time every time I travel to Champaign. Everything I order has been great. They also have a large selection of beers on tap and plenty of TVs to watch sports. Service was great as well, but a little slow to greet me at the bar even though it was not busy at all. This seems to be typical otherwise it would be 5 stars as well.“

“Been going to Billy’s for 3 years now, ever since we moved into the neighborhood. I have had some outstanding meals there, equally important, I have never had a bad meal there! Meaning, the consistency at Billy Barooz is nothing short of phenomenal! Stand out meals I’ve had there include: the salmon, (in all its forms), the pasta dishes, the ribeye sandwich (which is my personal favorite), the Caesar salad, the fries, and wow, the sweet potato fries! I could go on but you get the point. As for the service, it is also exceptional. I have never had an issue with how my meal arrives or how I’m treated. Billy’s is, in my opinion, the “fine dining” version of a sports bar. In a town that has very few actual fine dining establishments, it’s nice to know that there is a handful of casual dining places that won’t disappoint when it comes to tasty meals in a comfortable, fun environment. Billy’s is that type of place!“

“In 2021, I was paying $70,000 a year for a library at Carle Illinois College of Medicine I could not use due to COVID precautions, so I started studying at Pias during the day on occasion. While I was not welcome at the U of I, I was welcome at Pias. I share this now as someone no longer attending UIUC.Pias did more for my medical doctorate than Carle/UIUC did during those times. Great people, good food, and good prices can get you through tough times. Also, if they're still doing pitcher punch cards, get started.“

Green Street Cafe Bar • $
35 E Green St, Champaign

“Went here during the summer and it had a very relaxed atmosphere, exactlywhat I was looking for in a hookah lounge. It is pretty barebones except for a few couches and booths. The staff might be the best part though. The guy we had was a great story teller and was on the ball when it came to adjusting coals.“
