Good eveningMy mom and I coming in for dinner ! Date2/13/2024The guy who was grilled was goodHe showed us do our place order!! We got our order food was wonderful and we enjoyed our food!! Then Two guys cameTo order your staff got very loudSpecially man( he was tall ) on your drive throughHe and two came they were talking about things should been on clock and your manager did not say thing he aloud itMade my mom feeling very uncomfortable and upset!! I understand we only customer in there eating but your staff needs watch how they act and what they say things Respect for ElderlyAnd we lift time Steak and Shake Customer!! Everything here is automated now. You order at a kiosk then use the scanner at the fountain drink counter to fill up your drink. People actually cook your food but I remember the good Ole days when a waitress brought Everything to you & filled your drinks. Because you serve yourself it lacks the dining experience that I'm accustomed to. The food was still very good but honestly if I'm serving myself I might as well eat at home.

We got the absolute coldest food ever seriously felt refrigerated took it back and was told that they didn't give refunds and just kept trying to talk over us will absolutely never go back was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

It was fine albeit a very small menu. Nothing to complain about. I had a burger & shoe string french fries.
I ordered a Reese's chocolate shake add Nutella. I got to the window and got my shake, it sounded like she said peanut butter chocolate, so I asked her, this is Reese's right? She said yes. She lied. I was already having a rough day yesterday. If you didn't understand me, ask some questions instead of lie to my face and ruin my day. I just wanted the right mf milkshake to make my day better. It's too much to ask for obviously. Also their fries are literally the worst of any food chain, so there's that too. I just go for the shakes, and you've ruined that too.

we only ordered a 3 piece chicken strip with 2 fries and we did dine in. it took over 40 minutes for them to complete our order even though we were the only ones in the restaurant and no one in the drive thru.

Food was fresh. We sure do miss the old atmosphere of Steak n Shake. This new way disconnects people. Nobody else in the restaurant which was sad to see. Hours were dinner time hours.

I'm taking a break from steak n shake. About a month ago when we're in the drive through, we get told "look at the menu," when we already knew what we wanted, and then just didn't get back to us for 10-20 minutes so we left. About a month before that, we came in person and a couple with 8 kids who came in after us get their order before we get ours (1 person order,) then we still had to wait for our shake which was melted because no one bothered to get it out of the kitchen, wouldn't remake it or refund it. Waiting 45 minutes when we were the only customer in the store before the family of 10 came in after us is absurd. While we were doing home rennovations we were coming here a few times a week. I'll give it a try in like 6 months to a year and consider changing my review. Try being reasonable to your regulars next time.
