“The taquitos are quite good. And the home made salsas are fab. You need to try both! But the tomatillo avocado was my favorite. The drinks were nice and they have a nice local craft beer selection. The piña poblano was spicy and the draft margarita was delicious.“
“The Wolfhound Pub offers a delightful experience with its exceptional food and cocktails, especially noteworthy are their espresso martinis and lemon drops which are truly outstanding. Brendan, Emily, and the entire staff create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making patrons feel right at home. Whether you're stopping by for a meal or drinks, expect nothing less than a consistently fantastic time at The Wolfhound.“
“Easily the best dive bar in Avondale. Their food is incredible, (get the fried pickles,) and very affordable. Very solid drink menu and the staff is super friendly. If you go for trivia, (which you should if you like bar trivia, this place was great,) make sure you get there at least 30 minutes early because it will fill up. Love this place“
“Great place and a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here a few times now and enjoyed everything I’ve had. Great cocktails too. The couple that opened it are wonderful people. The staff and owners are super friendly and attentive.“
“Everything you could want in a burger joint. Busy, yet relaxed and casual atmosphere on a Friday night. Luckily they found a table for us immediately upon walking in. Staff was extremely accommodating for our meal.Cheese curds were excellent. The “pickled platter” is a unique appetizer to try as well. Was a hit at our table for sure.Burgers are the star of the show, and for good reason. I had “the fig is in” and it was divine. Beefy patties and quality ingredients. Definitely a burger I crave often, and one of the better ones you’ll find in town. The variety is impressive, and I’ll 100% be back to try more.“
“A really nice place to get some fun practice in. We were just walking by to see what it looked like and Devin gave us a free 30 minute voucher. We’ll be sure to stop back in the next time we’re in Chicago as while as check out your Cincinnati location!“
“Jay and his team are fantastic! This is absolutely one of the nicest bars in the neighborhood, and deserves recognition. We have had our company party here since they opened, and we have not changed venues as it is the best place to book your party!“
“I'm a frequent visitor to Chicago for work and my office is right across the street from this 5i location - always have a blast, and the staff is awesome. I played this morning with a few colleagues and we were treated extremely well - Justin was exceptionally great - easy to work with and accommodated our needs. Can't wait to be back!“
“We recently held our daughter's Birthday party at Logan 11. Everything from start to finish was delightful. Clint and his Staff did an amazing job with every detail. The food and drink selection they created was the perfect fit for our party!Vegetarian options: Good vege options“
“Owners are great ,. food is prefect same authentic Balkan taste and quality,. It’s hard to find real and good food taste this days ,. but this place it’s real deal 5 stars and above ,. Number 1 dining place strongly recommended if you want to try Bosnian Kebap and Pleskavica ,.“
“This was THE BEST Latin American food fusion I have ever experienced! Everything we ordered was not only delicious, but just as attractive in presentation. Also, the staff was so attentive and engaging. We had the honor of being introduced to the chef and shared how pleased we were with his culinary selections. Don’t pass on the drinks, especially the Pina Colada shots, for they were the perfect compliment to each dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic ambience, friendly staff and mesmerizing menu.“
“the bar is just the kind of place you want to hang out on st paddy’s. it was $20 cash cover charge at the door, but they did not limit how many people were in the bar based on that; the entire place was extremelycrowded. which was to be expected. the drinks were great. the bathrooms were not up to par in my opinion; in the women’s restroom you can see into the stalls because the stall doors are only 3-4 feet tall so that is really uncomfortable. and in such a crowded bar, there was a sizable line for the bathroom. all in all, i wish they would have limited more the number of people that they let in at one time. it was better earlier in the day. but again, it was expected on the holiday.“
“The rock club is absolutely my favorite venue in Chicago, intimate, great sound, the slant of the floor makes sure almost everyone can see, and you can always retreat to the stairs/upstairs if it gets too crowded. Reasonable beer prices are the icing on the cake.“
“We celebrated my friends birthday at benchmark and the staff was great at helping us celebrate! The pizza was great and they brought a dessert with a sparkler in it for my friend. Emma was our server and she was the best! Definitely ask for her if you find yourself at benchmark!“
“Hidden gem in Budlong Woods/Arcadia terrace. Maria’s cooking is amazing and Anri makes an incredible cocktail. The crowd is usually 30 and 40 somethings. Music also perfect for an elder Millenial like me. Every friend and neighbor I introduce to Rosewood falls in love for good reason. 5 stars all around.“
“We are in town from KC & we were told to come here to watch the Chiefs game. We walked into a great place 95% full of Chiefs fans for the game. We had 5 star service (thank you Gloria!) and really amazing food. (Burgers, sweet potato waffle fries & homemade sriracha mayo) Yes bar food menu but REALLY good. Everyone was super friendly & we just felt so welcome. I would come here again in a heartbeat & if I was a local I’d become a regular. Thanks guys!“
“Best Burgers! Took my husband there once and now I can't get him to go anywhere else. His words "Why chance somewhere else when Kuma's is always on point!" The Burgers are huge with a new Burger of the Month that keeps the menu fresh.Every Burger is delicious and totally different making it impossible to pick one. Also you can substitute the beef with Chicken! ? Atmosphere is great with cult classic movies playing behind the heavy metal music. Oh and let's not forget the beer/liquor selection!“
“They have great outdoor seating and a large menu for both food and drink. The service was a little slow as it seemed they only had one waitress who was waiting on the entire outdoor section, but that isn’t enough to make me not come back to this neighborhood spot.“
“the food is great, fresh and hot, and the service is great. Drinks are great. Music is great, just a great vibe. You can't go wrong, go check it outParking: park in the lot or on streetKid-friendliness: they can play games while eatingWheelchair accessibility: right on corner“
“First time here (concert at Concord pre-show drinks and dinner) and was pleasantly surprised. Very clean, modern bar. Bartender was extremely friendly and answered any and all questions. We had tacos and Cajun fries, both of which were delicious. This place should do quite well when concerts are happening next door or anytime someone wants a night out!“
“Another great find. Adding Tuman's Tap to my Favorites list. Great bourbon selection and reasonable prices per pour. Pappy 10,12 &23. And many other good whiskeys. The food is also great. Fun staff! Recommend it ?Parking: Pay parking on main St. Other free parking near side streets.“
“The Black Sheep Bar is an absolute hidden gem that exceeded all expectations. The 9-foot diamond pool table was a highlight of our visit, providing a unique and enjoyable gaming experience. Amy, the bartender, was not only incredibly sweet but also showcased an impressive knowledge of the extensive drink menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, making our evening all the more enjoyable. Meeting the owner, Silva, was a pleasant surprise, adding a personal touch to our experience. The Black Sheep Bar is a must-visit for those seeking a fantastic atmosphere, exceptional service, and a touch of authenticity.“
“Awesome neighborhood bar in Roscoe! My wife and daughter wanted to visit a bookstore, so my son and I visited here just two doors down. It was pretty busy for 3 pm, but we got a hi top table and placed our orders right away. We had a couple of Old Styles, and I tried the Krombacher pilsner. It was the beer of the month and very good. My wife and daughter joined us about an hour later and had a couple of drinks. This seemed to be a less expensive bar than most we visited in Chicago. That's always a good thing! Service was outstanding! I can't get over these beautiful Chicago bars. Long and narrow. Awesome architecture. Perfect setup here at Village Tap! Will definitely try and make it back here on our next visit to Chicago.“
“Please bring back the Ferris pop up! My husband and I were there on August 20th after the Cubs game. I returned with my sister on September 9 only to be disappointed that it was gone. Ferris was filmed at our high school and John Hughes the producer graduated with my sister. Thank goodness I took many photos when I went the first time. Bring it back!!“
“Visited here around 1:00 in the afternoon with 2 other people and the food was pretty good, but the service was not so great. They should have a sign saying to seat yourself because no one was available to direct us and another patron told us to seat ourself. Although the server was nice, she was pretty much absent the entire time. We had ask for the table to be wiped twice which took a while and after receiving our appetizers, we had to wait for her to come back again to ask for silverware. We had to ask another server to get our waitress because she wasn't around. After asking for our bill, it took her a while to come back for the payment and then we had to question her as to why a gratuity charge was on our bill when it shouldn't have been added until after 4pm for a party of 6 or more (only 3 of us present).“
“My first visit there. Saw promo on TV. However, I was not aware that there was a cover charge. I assume coverage for the live entertainment. I enjoyed both the Irish band music and the Trinity Children Dancers. The food was right on point! Authentic Irish corn beef/cabbage. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but that was to be expected--it was St. Patrick's Day!“
“Pleasantly surprised by this place located on Bryn Mawr between Kedzie and Kimball. The initial impression was that the prices on the menu seemed a bit high given its location. And some dishes like hummus plate, which consisted of cut up carrots and cucumber with pita bread and a large spoonful of hummus, was not worthwhile at $14. Same goes for a bowl of Irish cabbage soup for $10. Having said, other items like chicken wings and burgers were quite delicious and were worth paying little more for them. Given their great beer selection and wonderful cocktails, it is worth a visit.“
“Very fairly priced hotdogs, polish, burgers and more. There is a nice drink choice with import, domestic, and local area favorites. You have multiple burger choices. There is a wondering, fish and chips, and other choices. Service was stellar. On a Saturday night the restaurant was full. Parking is a little challenging, but does rotate spaces in a timely manner.“
“Yak-Zies in Wrigleyville excels in creating an authentic Chicago sports bar atmosphere that appeals all crowds.showcasing sports games on multiple TVs and its sports-themed decor truly immerse patrons in the sportsThey offer a laid-back dining experience that perfectly complements the casual vibe of the neighborhood. The menu boasts a wide variety of bar classics, including delicious burgers, flavorful chicken wings, and satisfying loaded nachos. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. The staff at Yak-Zies is not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable. Whether you're dropping by for a quick meal or planning to stay longer, the service consistently meets expectations.“
“Ashley was the best! The food was sooooo good— like truly every time visit. The ambiance is everything from decor, music, and the scene. I can and probably will become a regular. I'm also not a first-timer;) I haven’t felt this great about a restaurant in a really long time. 10/10 everyone!Dietary restrictions: I try to stay away from dairy but many of the dishes and desserts were dairy or had dairy accompanying it. That’s just something to be mindful of when visiting.“
“Dang ol great place man. Went with dang ol Gribble, Hank and Bill for Bobby's dang ol birthday man. Dang ol pizza was great man. Bartender was that dang ol funny and listened when Gribble went on about conspiracies man. When I need an Alamo, I'm coming to Side street man and play dang ol Willie Nelson on Touchtunes man. ♥️“
“I can honestly say this is one of my favorite pubs in the city. Whoever is behind the bar is always gonna take good care of you. The staff is friendly and seemingly concerned to make sure you're having a good time. And it doesn't hurt that they have GOOD live music. A regular spot for sure!“
“After driving home from a long day, I stopped by for a beer after work. I’ve never been there before and I was just frustrated from traffic. So I stepped inside for an hour. Music was great, sports on TV, drinks were affordable. I would definitely go back!!“
“We ate here with a large group (9 adults, 1 child). At first they told us it’d be a bit of a wait due to reservations but they sat us within five minutes. The hosts seemed kind of “in the weeds” and annoyed but it wasn’t that busy. Our server took a while to get to us but he was okay. The food portions are large. I recommend the nachos as an appetizer and the chicken wrap as an entree - it’s really big and I only finished half. My friend didn’t like the fish tacos as there was a lot of breading but burgers and hot dogs were okay. Nothing fancy.“
“We had dinner here during our visit to Chicago. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The server made us feel right at home and was so helpful in giving recommendations. I had the steak salad and taco soup and my husband had the carnitas sandwich, all were phenomenal. We had such a good time that we decided to stay and move over to the bar after dinner. Highly recommend and we will be visiting again!“
“Great spot for families. Rocks definitely flies under the radar considering how many bars are on Lincoln but we love this place. They have a good kids menu and a spacious dining area, along with some bar games. We usually see a few other families there if we do an early dinner with the kids. The side patio is great in the summer as well.Kid-friendliness: Great for kids“
“Lovely staff and their hyper awareness of the guests' needs make Standard a guaranteed stop for myself and my friends. The manager, Matt and owner Aaron, have dedicated countless hours and accepted customer input to make Standard the best sports bar on Milwaukee. I drink more than I eat when imbibing, but the food that I've had is very good. The staff, Megan, Jelena, Alex, and Vanessa are all exceedingly professional. Standard also has the Marquee Sports network, so I can watch my Cubs here once spring training ends, hopefully sooner then later. Cheers“
“We went for lunch on a Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday, no less) and was able to get a table for 2 right away. The service was great and the food equally as great. We enjoyed the daft beer list as well as the patty melt and the chili mac. Will probably stop again when in the area.“
“I don't know if I'm biased because I grew up eating this chicken, but I love this fried chicken. The place is a bar/liquor store, but they just happen to make the best chicken. And don't forget your fries and hot sauce on the side. They also have deep-fried tacos that are so good.“
“My group(all family!), we were from our of town on vacation and happened upon this gem of a bar and grill by asking customer service at Shedd Aquarium! It was maybe 10 mins by car... from the minute you walk in you feel very welcome, Carrie, our server, mentioned she has been there for 14 yrs and it showed! She knew all the patrons, treated our group like family ! She made us feel special ! She even gave my grand daughter a T shirt with "Turtles" on it so we will remember to eat there again next time we are in Chicago! The food now, well the hamburgers were awesome, I recommend them! Salads were fresh and giid! Try the pulled pork, that was really good!! Personally I can bet, anything on the menu is great what! And when you go, I hope Carrie is working , you will seriously return!! What a way to end our trip , good food and fantastic service!Parking: Street parking only that I could see, but it's a neighborhood bar and grille and it's a stone's throw away from the White Sox field!! Very cool !!Kid-friendliness: It is a bar and grill but we had 2 kids under 10 yrs old with our group and wonderful server, Carrie allowed us to put tables together so we were able to enjoy the great food! There is a kids menu or the sliders worked fine!“
“The chicken sandwich is a favorite!! Mary is a great cook. Don't sleep on the food here. If Mary's cooking - get it! Also, she does some great game day specials - nachos, etc. Good snacks. Good beefs, good sausages, and the best chicken mozzarella bacon sandwich on a hoagie.“
“Best soccer pub in the Midwest, maybe the country. Can’t beat the world-wide coverage, the beer and drinks menu, the food quality, and the great service. No one has this combination. That’s why Hudson’s is the official home pub of the Chicago Hammers. They know and care for the game and its supporters, and not just the so-called big six.“
“I used to run a trucking account for a mega carrier that delivered right down the street from here. I'm not lying when I say this is the only bar I've ever drank in. Chicago doesn't allow beer sales in convenience stores I guess. Was recommended that I buy a six pack here. I was not disappointed in the slightest. I tell stories down in Georgia about this place from time to time. It's like a legend to all my friends... None of them can get me to drink in a bar to this day. Cheers guys..“
“The food was good; the waitress was polite and attentive. The prices were okay. The restaurant is clean. The only thing I don't like, and it's not the restaurant's fault you have to pay for street parking. The business should complain to the alderperson about this.“
“This place is within walking distance from my house, so I decided to check it out tonight. The menu is small but the food was good and it was quite busy when we left. I took my daughter, who is 16. It was fine for her, but I wouldn't recommend taking a younger child there.“
“We very much enjoyed the service drinks and food. Apps we tried were Brussels sprouts broccoli (basic but garlicky good), fries. Entrees hamburgers and crispy chicken. All were very good. Apps were not hot and that was the only complaint t. Drinks were fun and we all liked our choices except pear vodka drink was too sweet.Parking: 5:30 we found a spot close.“
“First time at this place. Food and drinks were excellent. Our server , Paige was awesome! Tyler the manager was so accommodating and pleasant. All employees were very friendly. Espresso Martini’s were outstanding! Currie fries were delicious. Chicken pot pie … yum. Cherry pie desert … to die for! Love the atmosphere as well. Can’t wait to go back!“
“This place was great. Came.for take out, discovered it was happy hour which is always welcome. Wings are great, burger excellent and one of the best gyros in the city. Atmosphere was lovely and the service was great even though the place was packed (post cubs game). Definitely recommend“
“Lived in the neighborhood going on 2 years and have never gone wrong… Don’t feel like cooking ✅ Want something fast✅ Quick drinky drink to unwind ✅ Comfort food? Pizza ✅ Wings ✅ Italian beef ✅ Burgers ✅ Fries, tots, nachos ✅✅✅“
“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“
