“So many delicious flavors, it was hard to pick. Our family of four enjoyed our different choices. It's a beautiful ambiance for the beginning of summer with indoor and outside space. Staff was very friendly and helpful in helping us decide which flavors to try. Def recommend and we'll be back to try new flavors!“
“I moved to Chicago in August of 2023 and kept walking past Willie’s and Waffles. I finally got food there today and I wish I hadn’t waited so long. Best chicken tenders I’ve had in a minute. All the food is cooked to order and the flavor combos are spot on.I’ll be back with friends for sure!“
“Took my wife for a brunch date. Came to this cutest lil mama papa shop. Amazing Americano! Cardamom Black Tea yum! We shared one injera firfir almost couldn’t finish it. Very Delicious! Will come back with friends. If yall want really authentic Ethiopian food with homie feel. Look no further. This is our new favorite “
“Scooters is the spot for custard in Chicago! They have such a great mix of pure custard, concretes and sundaes that you could visit here endlessly. I particularly love anything with peanut butter and chocolate and my wife always goes for a chocolate strawberry mix. The neighborhood is quaint and the service is always excellent - even on those crazy hot summer days. Choose local and definitely choose Scooter's!“
“My fav dessert spot here in Chicago!!! I always get the trio and sea salt caramel. I brought my friends here and they all loved it as well! The shop is small but there are some seats outside. I can't wait for them to open back up again!!It's located right off the blue line and super easy to get to!!“
“We loved the vegan ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. My family has allergies to milk and reactions to gluten and we were safe with our choices. The service is polite, relaxed, and fast. If you have the chance, try the Godzilla sundae; the toasted marshmallows are genius!Dietary restrictions: All vegan! Gluten-free with caveatsKid-friendliness: It's fun, cute, ice cream treats!“
“Vaca's Creamery - The Windy City's Best Ice Cream SpotAs a lifelong Chicagoan, I truly appreciate a good ice cream shop. And Vaca's Creamery, located in Wicker Park, is the real deal. This cozy spot offers over 40 inventive ice cream flavors that rotate frequently based on seasonal ingredients. On my recent visit, I indulged in a scoop of Salty Caramel - made with Nutella and flecks of sea salt. So decadent! The staff is extremely friendly and they clearly take pride in their craft. I had some fun chats with the owners who shared how they source dairy from local farms. It's nice to support a small business committed to Chicagoland. After treating myself, I enjoyed my ice cream while strolling along North Avenue, taking in the funky shops and colorful murals that give Wicker Park its edgy vibe. Vaca's is also just a few blocks from the iconic Buckinghams fountain, making it a perfect post-Millennium Park treat.Whether you're a lifelong resident or visitor checking out The Chi, do yourself a favor and experience what makes Vaca's Creamery worth the wait on those hot summer days. You'll leave with a cool scoop and a full belly - even on the windiest of days! I'll be back again soon for another taste of home.“
“If you want to try something new in ice cream this is your place. This place holds a variety of good stuff in ice cream. From the majority of the menu in ice creams, I like their fruit ice cream. I like their mango, dragon-passion fruit, and mango-strawberry combination. It's like what you see in the picture you get in real!“
“Really great dessert place. Glad to see that they carry some less common (and very tasty) flavors like their Biscoff cookie flavor. They carry frozen custard, concretes, and milkshakes so you have a little variety as well. I will definitely be coming back!“
“The flavours were exceptional, I tried a bunch of flavours while I was there and ended picking two of my favourite the goat cheese caramel and the non dairy strawberry (which was really yummy with the coconut milk in it)Dietary restrictions: They have non dairy optionsWheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible“
“Cute spot for great frozen custard! I went with the OMG concrete which had peanut butter brownie pieces and hot fudge. It was good but got very rich towards the end (did not stop me from finishing though!). The custard itself was very creamy and had a great flavor. Will definitely be back to try more!“
“Logan Vegan easily has the best vegan Ice Cream I've ever had, and the owner John makes it himself which I find even cooler. It's coconut based, but doesn't taste coconutty at all. The taste and texture is just like normal ice cream. I'm lactose intolerant and used to just take a bunch of lactaids when I go to Jeni's ice cream but now I just go to Logan Vegan and I'm good - haven't been back to Jeni's in months. My personal favorites are the mint chip and cookies & cream.“
“The parlor is famous for good reason. It celebrates the visitation of the Beatles when they came to eat back in 1965, so it's been operating for several decades. There was quite the line to wait in in order to sit down. The portions come with a great helping, a side of chocolate drizzle and a wafer. There are more varieties but there is very limited seating.“
“Good ass Italian ice. Fresh fruit. So natural. Love it. They give you free "flight" (four flavors in a container) for 10 stamps for every purchase. To all the lovers of syrup who dislike sugary Italian ice, do what you do cause you're not tasting real goodness. Best Italian ice.“
“I love the concept and I love shopping small business. This cute shop offers tasty ice cream in a laid back atmosphere. The guy assisting me was SO NICE!! I loved exploring all of the cool flavors and his enthusiasm was as high as mine.I bought a ton of flavors for my family. My daughter in law texted me that she cannot live without the orange creamsicle and refused to share even one bite. I loved the horchata cinnamon which was so creamy and smooth.I love everything about this place!“
“We stumbled across a delicious ice cream spot. My daughter has been begging for ice cream all day. Shawn Michelle's was delicious. We had butter pecan, strawberry cheesecake and vanilla. My daughter is allergic to nuts and the young lady was nice enough to go in the back and wash off the ice cream scoop. Excellent customer service would definitely recommend.Kid-friendliness: They offer kid scoops“
“The Rootbeer float is delicious. The 1st 2 times I went, my float and strawberry shakes were excellent. My 4th visit, the cookies & and creme shake, was great, but my strawberry was just pink and not very flavorful at all. I saved it so I could remake it. Didn't want to throw it away. It cost too much for that. I will try again, but I will taste it before I leave.“
“Everytime I stop by for a snack, they always welcome you with a big smile, they are very friendly, customer service is great, love coming to this michoacana ?. Love the strawberry yogurt with mix fruits. Thank you for your great customer service.“
“We brought a big group here for a Sunday kids' magic show. They had so much fun and were truly amazed - best comment from a parent sitting amongst the kids "they didn't know what to do with their faces."Out in the shop, Mr. J and staff were patient, kind, and helpful, unflustered by the chaos, and seemed to take real joy in little impromptu performances of various kinds. Tasting spoons for all and excellent fresh gelato.“
“VietFive exceeded any expectation I could have for a coffee shop. Passion exudes from every corner of this business - from the merchandise, the store design, the employees, and most importantly the products. Their Vietnamese coffee tastes amazing with a process you can see done for yourself. No Cafe du Monde bite here, as they collect beans direct from Vietnam. The banh mi empanada and the ube donuts also make for some great eating! You will be doing yourself a favor by stopping in and being part of what will surely be a successful coffee enterprise that changes the narrative on what makes a coffee shop exceptional. You’ll go for the coffee and stay for the vibe. Do yourself a favor and check them out!“
“It’s my first time visiting this place, so many unique flavors of ice cream, black sesame, mango sticky rice, Ube, it was overwhelming and made me wanted to try everything on their menu.Recommended by the friendly staff, she highly recommended the messy boba! It was a WOW moment.Highly recommend!“
“This place has the most incredible crepes, both sweet and savory. The only bad part is choosing what to get. We always go way overboard and get a couple different ones to eat as a family, but you can't help it. It's all delicious.“
“Awesome little spot! My family and I stumbled over it just because it was a local spot which was just walking distance from where we live. Even though Ice cream can pretty much sell itself, this spot's customer service was on point. The lady helping us behind the counter was nice and helpful. Another guy came from around back to greet us and handed all 4 of my kids gum off the display rack. We all got ice cream or milkshakes, while I was waiting I noticed they had little Hispanic street food menu. I ended up ordering some "Elote" with Flaming Hot Cheetos. I would upload pictures, but I finished the elote before I could get home. We will definitively be back soon.“
“This place and concept are too cute! We stopped here for dessert during our trip to Chicago. Once in line, the staff are extremely helpful and work efficiently in an assembly line to get what you want. They also offer samples, so you can make sure you're satisfied with the flavor you order. We ordered a monkey in a banana flavor, a pig in a fruity pebbles flavor, and a panda in a cookies and cream flavor. The ice cream was so delicious and creamy, and it was just too stinkin' cute! I almost didn't want to eat it, but it sure was tasty.“
“This neighborhood gem is worth the wait in line and the extra step you may need to take to ensure you have cash to pay the bill! I really appreciate the quality of ice cream / Italian ice, and accompaniments. The other ice cream places in the area do not compare. If you have ever worked in a food retailer, you know how much work goes into getting everything ready and available. You try to take care of the customers quickly, so you can work on the behind-the-scenes tasks before the next rush. The owner is the best because she is efficient and knowledgeable about the products. My husband has one request, which is to have Sea Turtle ice cream on the menu every year. Oh, our dog Dunston leads us here all summer long for a frozen Pup Cup.“
“Best place to get ice cream in Chicago. The waffle cones are heaven. The ice cream is five star delicious and oh so creamy. The employees are super friendly, cool, and collected. The lines are long but move very quickly. It is worth the wait.“
“We had dessert only but service was a bit all over the place, we got there and had to wait for a table and the people behind us got thier order taken before us and served 1st although we had been waiting. Overall, the dessert Sunday was delicious... My brownie was nice and warm, and so was the chocolate syrup.“
“I love this place and appreciate having an Italian bakery being near by. An authentic one serving lots of delicious baked item and Gelato /sorbetto,coffee. I was sad becaus3 a couple times I ordered some pasteri3s,they were old and also the Gelato and sorbetto were freezer burned. I guess I'll stick with the cannoli which is made fresh and probably in summer the Gelato will be fresher.“
“I've never had a bad experience here at Crumbl Cookies!Since moving to the area a few months ago, this has been our go-to Crumbl Cookies spot. We get it probably once a month - yikes! Every time here, though, has been the opposite of yikes - the staff is friendly, the cookies are fresh, it's never busy, always clean, and there's ample parking outside. At my old Crumbl Cookies location in Schaumburg, it was always a tight squeeze and hustle-and-bustle situation inside the store and in the parking lot because it was so busy. This location is bigger with more parking, but it's never busy which I like. Let's be real, Crumbl Cookies are freaking good. There's 4 rotating flavors every single week and 2 constant flavors (chocolate chip & sugar). I always love the chocolate chip and will get it in replacement of one of the rotating cookies when I get a 4-pack. In my opinion the warm cookies are always better than the chilled, but some of the chilled ones are great, too. They also sometimes include a mystery cookie which yes, is a mystery when you get it. I love that they do that, I think it's a fun concept especially if you really don't know which other cookie to get or want to try something new. There's TONS of flavors in general at Crumbl, I can't even select my favorite one. When they have these flavors, I do really enjoy their cinnamon swirl cookie, s'mores, cinnamon fry bread, dulce de leche, Biscoff lava, chocolate cake, buckeye brownie, and basically any flavor that has cinnamon or caramel in it, or that's super chocolatey and gooey. You already know I'll be coming to this location again!“
“All I have to say is YUM! Tried this place recently with a friend at night and it was amazing!! My friend got the bubble waffle with a scoop of sea salt caramel pretzel ice cream and said the bubble waffle was amazing! It was nice and warm and the ice cream was “high quality and delicious”! I got the Eiffel Minis with nutella and strawberries and O M G they were spectacular! So soft and fluffy and they did not skim on the nutella and strawberries! They were so warm and hit the spot perfectly! The staff were so nice and quick with our orders too! The establishment was clean and orderly and there we plenty of places to sit. Overall, this place is a 5/5! Definitely check it out when you’re in the area and whatever you get, you can’t go wrong!“
“Nice place for an ice cream cone! The raspberry sherbet was delightful and portions are generous. The staff members working were both nice! We didn't sit inside but there is space for it. Lots of options for ice cream flavors and treats in addition to the candies.“
“I love this place! It's a great place to study and the coffee is great. I've never tried the desserts but I'm excited to try the soft serve ice cream as they look delicious. The food (I had the unagi) was decent as well. Bubble tea was great too. I also love the music they play at the cafe (love lofi)“
“Wow, I can't believe I haven't eaten their Gelatos until now! I've passed it so often and realize it was my loss. Not too sweet, authentic flavors and beautifully shaped rose gelatos are definitely worth trying and coming back for!“
“Ice cream was really tasty but portion size was inconsistent. Some people got scoops the size of golf balls where others got scoops much bigger when ordering the same thing. So every time you go it is questionable what you’ll actually get.“
“I was so excited to find vegan ice cream that didn't come from a grocery store! Flavors are marked as vegan, dairy free and gluten free. There are different flavors in the scoops freezer as opposed to in the pints. I was VERY disappointed when I found out that the only scoop flavor that was both gluten-free and dairy-free was the hot toddy, which does not appeal to me at all. Of all things, I never expected gluten to be the limiting factor in **ice cream** flavors, you know, a food that doesn't have gluten by default. I ended up getting a chocolate truffle pint (I think the other GF DF pint was cold brew coconut). It's good chocolate ice cream, but not worth the higher price compared to Oatly or So Delicious. I was SO LET DOWN by the lack of options that were both GF and DF. I guess mint chocolate chip, chocolate chunk and fudge swirl are too basic for them.Vegetarian options: Flavors are marked as vegan, dairy free and gluten free. There are different flavors in the scoops freezer as opposed to in the pints.Dietary restrictions: Flavors are marked as vegan, dairy free and gluten free. If any of the scoop flavors identify other allergens, I missed it. There are different flavors in the scoops freezer as opposed to in the pints. I was VERY disappointed when I found out that the only scoop flavor that was both gluten-free and dairy-free was the hot toddy. Lemon, cayenne and whiskey do not go with ice cream in my world. Of all things, I never expected gluten to be the limiting factor in ice cream flavors. I ended up getting a chocolate truffle pint (I think the other GF DF pint was cold brew coconut)“
“pretty cool is such a fun and quirky spot!!! i've been here a couple times and it never disappoints. ice cream bars are one of my favorite sweet treats and i've always been impressed by their variety of flavors. for thanksgiving/fall they have a super experimental green bean casserole ice cream bar which i obviously had to try. the ice cream itself is mushroom flavored and is surprisingly good. i'm not a white chocolate person so that was a bit much for me but overall i think they crushed what i previously would have thought was an impossible feat.my coworker got the cornbread stuffing bar which i preferred. it's gritty and somehow really gets that bread flavor right.the person working was incredibly sweet (and patient as i asked him a million questions about the holiday flavors). i'll undoubtedly be back to try more.“
“I love this location. They have the fastest and friendliest service in Chicago. Cory helped me redeem my rewards today for a free cookie and had the exceptional kindness and cheerfulness that perfectly matches the joy of biting into one of these scrumptious cookies. Thanks for all your kindness and hard work!“
“Literally our favorite ice cream place! They have shaved ice that is softer and better than any place I’ve ever been to. They also have a wide ice cream selection and great sundaes. The staff is also so so so nice and patient with my excitable kids. Definitely worth the trip down 103rd!“
“It was amazing. I got a basic chocolate chip cookie. It was the right amount of cooked the chocolate Was milky chocolatey something that I loved and I recommend Crumbl cookie or inside a cookieKid-friendliness: Even though I am a younger customer, they still cheated me with respect and I love“
“It was awesome experience it was crowded , but not rushed the lines long and quick.... just a anticipation of sweet surrender and total bliss !!!!From the Korea grandmother who knew very little English and invited us to sit and talk to the youngest baby who couldn't talk we all wanted it .. the sweet happiness that is Sugar Shack!!!The employees were friendly, kind and patient that didn't mind answering our questions the weather was awesome not to hot or cold just a beautiful day for ice cream or whatever tasty treat your heart desired. ..First experience definitely not my last Lol????“
“Cookies were amazing! Someone bought a box to the bar and I was really impressed. The flavors and the taste were so different. I loved them so good I had to order a box the next day for my coworkers. Although, some of the flavors were different as they offer different flavor daily, they were still yummy. My co-workers were just as pleased as I was. Parking in Wicker Park to get to the cookies was a challenge but I managed. A lil bit pricey but worth the treat every now and then.“
“Excellent eating experience, the food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing, all staff are friendly, helpful and kind, We highly recommend..Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our family during our visit to the Sauganash Grill.“
“Took advantage of the Sunday free chicken sandwich promo. Using the app to order a few minutes ahead was very convenient. My meal was ready and waiting on the counter when I arrived and still warm! Also had the spicy fries with ranch and dragonfruit/pomegranate lemonade. Everything was fresh and tasty. Appreciated the outdoor seating since the weather was perfectly beautiful!“
“Delicious bakes! We highly enjoyed the citrus pound cake and doughnuts (Fridays only). The tea is also freshly made from loose leaves it seems, not your usual tea bag tea. Owner is incredibly friendly, with jovial and welcoming greetings from the moment you step in, and follow ups on if you enjoyed the food.Space doesn't have many tables so just enough for a quick sit down for your drinks or bakes.Recommended if you're in the area and would like a good tea!“
“Jeni's is from Columbus so of course it's incredible. They serve two scoops of ice cream with a little waffle cone piece and it's so cutie!! The Old Town location has a little upstairs area which is really nice so you can have place to enjoy the ice cream. Service is friendly and great for a summer day. A little pricey but their flavors are delicious. Gooey butter cake is so so good!“
“Jeni’s NEVER disappoints!!! This is my favorite location to visit, the seating areas are always clean. The staff always offers warm greetings and never gets upset at how many tastings I ask for even though I end up getting my usual - two scoops of their delicious lavender. I was very sad when George’s ice cream (the establishment that occupied this space before) had closed but wow has Jeni’s blown me away.“
“The ice cream was creamy and rich, with a perfect balance of flavors. You can also sample the different flavors before deciding on the ones you want.I chose the Browned Butter Almond Brittle flavor,Gooey butter and the nutty, caramel notes were absolutely divine. The 3 scoops were generous . I loved that the ice cream was made with high-quality, all-natural ingredients. Jeni's has definitely earned its reputation as a top-notch ice cream shop. I can't wait to try more flavors!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free available“
“They say I am the only customer who can make their snow in yogurt base and logically there is an extra charge which I do not refuse and I do not even care about the price the only thing that happened is that when serving me in that glass it does not account for packaged balls Since they charge me at the price of yogurt, logically it shouldn't have air bags, and if those are orders from the owner to serve snowballs in a yogurt glass and charge them at the price of yogurt, then he doesn't want my money, not my business, I don't KNOW. If you understand me..... The owners......“
“Really good ice cream. Me and friends went here today since everything was closed and we thought this place would be mid. But, man this ice cream really is good. I would say it’s even on par with basking robins or prolly even way better than that. I would recommend the dark cherry and coconut scoops which was recommended to me by one of the employees. Also, I gotta say this is also the only place in Chicago that is very hospitable and service is amazing. The employees gave us many flavors to try before proceeding with our order.Vegetarian options: Vegan marshmallows“
