“I came here Sunday at noon, a prime time for the lunch rush. The manager was the only person making lunch orders and I just felt bad for him because you could see how hard he was working. I don’t know the reason why he was alone, but he was working his tail off, he didn’t complain, he was polite and respectful the whole time, despite a bunch of us staring in his direction while we waited. “Very friendly worker! I don't usually review fast food/quick service places but I had a great experience yesterday at this specific location. Unfortunately I don't remember the young woman's name and I can't find my receipt, but there was a younger girl working there yesterday afternoon who was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I was having a very long morning/day and she welcomed me in, asked how I was doing, complimented me and made me feel overall just much better for the rest of my day. There wasn't anything super special or crazy that happened but I feel like I don't always get a nice welcome and check in when I go to quick service places like Jimmy John's. “Smaller interior with about 4 tables and speedy service. The wife and I stopped in for a sit down lunch on Sunday and it was empty. The staff was courteous and we had no issues with the food or service. One thing I noticed was that this location had no public restrooms (unless I totally missed it). The crowd is a younger, univeristy crowd with UIC close by.“

I got an Italian sub, which seemed like good quality meat - no yucky gristle. I'd have liked more dressing, though, it was really dry. Real brewed iced tea would have been nice, too!“

“Incredibly awesome team here. I asked them if they had a spare pen because I had some paperwork I needed to sign; I just moved to the area and had all my stuff in boxes in some warehouse. “Jimmy John's is a gourmet sandwich chain shop native to Charleston, Illinois. Jimmy John's bread does not have that odd bread smell like the subways sandwich franchise does. They offer different premade selections with options for different add-ons. We tried the Beach club sandwich with added sprouts and oregano. The sandwich was prepared quickly for a Monday during lunch time. We asked to have the sandwich cut in half as we were unsure of their standard practices. The staff thanked us for our patronage as we left. We didn't realize you have an option for your bread until we saw it after in tiny font on the menu. Please make your signs easier to read- customers would like to easily see what their choices are. I would return to try a different item on the menu. There is a "sides" menu but it consists of cookies and dessert like items; I was expecting a soup or a mac and cheese to be listed on there.“
“I like going to this location because it's clean, doesn't get too crowded during lunch hour, and has excellent and fast service! I came here for lunch yesterday and the guy making the sandwiches was pretty entertaining. He greeted my co-worker and I as soon as we came through the door. And once our sandwiches were ready, he shouted out the sandwich name in a loud and poetic way. The sandwiches I get here are always fresh and tastes great. I love their bread!! After a long day at work when I am very hungry, I sometimes treat myself to Jimmy Johns, and I really appreciate the service from this location. While this is not always the case, today I received the most perfect sandwich. Maybe I was really hungry, but I ordered all the freebies besides sprouts and oil, and I usually half expect this to be wrong, and I don't get mad, I am the one complicating the order. But no, I received the perfect sandwich. The ingredients were all neatly stacked in the bun, they weren't toppling out clumsily. There was 1. no sauce !! and 2. no oil!! Hallelujah!! I was really impressed with the service, I can't remember the young man's name, but if I ever receive this perfect sandwich again I will give him the credit where credit is due. Thank you!“
“At first I was mad at them because it was taking over an hour for my food to be delivered. Then I called them and they said they didn't get it and I found out that I put the wrong zip code for my card. So after I actually submitted the order, it was here within 20 minutes. There was a little too many spices on my Vito, but I know I am a picky eater, so I am not holding that against them.“

“Very low-key vibe for a Jimmy John's. Definitely suiting for the surrounding universities. My only downside was that it's probably the slowest Jimmy John's I've been to, but that aside everything was clean and the staff was nice. I think I happened to visit during a shift change. This one has a better playlist/radio station playing than all the other ones I've been to, so sitting in to eat and chat definitely works.“
