“JJ is our favorite place to go. We have been coming here for lunch and dinner like forever. This place offers a variety of popular Thai street food dishes and they are all heavenly delicious. Note: Try their Khao Kha Moo and Fried Tofu Salad (Nam Tok), you can't go wrong with those!“
“My friend and I came here for the first time and we were excited to try their signature dishes. We had Talay Pad Pong Karen, Signature Pad Thai, and Laab Moo Tod. The food came very quickly and it was amazing! This is a quaint little place and has a great vibe. I’ll definitely come here again.“
“I have been several times and every time we get food here it's great. The staff is super friendly, super attentive and fast. The restaurant is not big but it packs a good punch in flavor and quality. I will definitely be back to try more stuff.“
“The ice cream and boba is good, but it’s mediocre - nothing significant. It was busy so the wait was about 10-15 minutes. The workers were nice. The ice cream doesn’t have any special and amazing flavors, it’s just normal, average ice cream. We got a taro boba which was also average, but good. The boba was cold because I think the drink sat around a little bit before it was given to us. Their orea and banana milkshake was really good though.“

The attentive staff ensures a seamless dining experience, guiding you through the menu with warmth and expertise. Sip on a Thai iced tea was authentic With its inviting ambiance and delectable cuisine, In On Restaurant is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable taste of Thailand.“
“My friends and I took a trip to Chicago for our spring break and were recommended this place. I really enjoyed the Vietnamese Ramen with Pork Belly. It was truly really rich in flavors. The service was on point with water refills and napkins replacements. The food delivery was very efficient and presentation was fantastic. The background music did not match the restaurant atmosphere, but overall very aesthetically pleasing! On a personal level, my friends and I got a chance to connect with Daniel, Saigon Sister Owner, and learned more about their restaurant history in Chicago. Daniel really appreciate our feedbacks and present, making the experience feel extra warm welcoming and friendly.“
“The food was incredible we loved everything we ordered.I got Emerald Gyoza, the garden veggie Maki, and garlic edamame. My friends got the burger, corn fritters with shrimp and chicken skewers. I don’t eat meat, so I can’t comment on their dishes, but I can say that they were raving about them and we all love the vegetarian items.Vegetarian options: They had an entirely separate vegetarian vegan menu, which was very helpful“
“I must say this has become my favorite Thai place in Chicago. I went today with my mom for the first time and everything we order was delicious! If you want to eat great, authentic food this is the place for you! The service was top notch and we did not wait that long to get our food. I will definitely be ordering food from here going forward!“
“Highly recommended!!We selected the 5-course prix fixe option. Every dish was an unfolding of flavors with each bit. Chef Patty suggested closing our eyes when eating first course ( Basil leaf roll-up thing), which was spot on as it truly enhanced the experience.Added bonus: most of menu is or can be made gluten free“
“Beautiful interior, delicious food, attentive staff, and fast service. We dined in on a Sunday afternoon and very much enjoyed our experience. We started with the Finger Combo. I tried the crab rangoon and crispy rolls which I thoroughly enjoyed. The only note I have is that it comes with a tiny cup of sweet and sour sauce. The dish could definitely use a bigger serving of sauce to complement all the yummy fried finger foods! The pineapple shrimp curry was perfectly sweet and creamy with a hearty helping of rice. My mom said the Pad Si Ew was tasty, loved the presentation as well. My boyfriend ordered the Basil Fried Rice which packed a spicy kick but was super flavorful. We are excited to have a new Thai place in our repertoire!“
“Everything about this place was wonderful! Me and my partner tired the sweet and sour gyoza and two other dishes I can't remember but it was very delicious and I'll be coming back :) I asked for it to be spicy and it was very spicy just fyi!“
“Everything was delicious. My favorite was the drunken noodles. Chive cakes were also very tasty! Dessert was a refreshing end though expensive for what it was at $30…Service was great and atmosphere lovely. Open late which is a huge plus in a city where everything closes at like 9 pm“
“We went to Anna's last night with a few friends, and I'm blown away! All of the food we got was delicious. Everything was flavorful and appropriately spicy (they don't allow mild on some dishes, and the medium was delicious!)They had dozens of vegan dishes, or dishes that could be made vegan. Both were clearly marked with green or blue leaves on the menu.Favorites were the fried rice, and the green curry! The staff was incredibly frindle. Anna also came to our table after our meal to apologize for the wait and ask how we liked our food! It was only like 30 minutes, and we didn't notice anyway. This will def be a regular visit!Vegetarian options: They had dozens of starters and entrees that were vegan, or dishes that could be made vegan. Both were clearly marked with green or blue leaves on the menu.“
“But we had a lovely dinner. Authentic Thai food. (Sorry, no photos with this post. ) We especially loved the Pad See Ew and the Papaya salad. They don't have a liquor license, but there's a good liquor store a block north of here, to it's easy to pick out a bottle and take it back to the restaurant. (That ends up being a lot cheaper, too!) Enjoy!“
“PingPong was an unexpectedly wonderful fining experience! I only say it was unexpected because we’ve all had Chinese or Thai takeout and you know what to expect. PingPong brought and elevated twist to standard Asian cuisine. The food was delicious and a reasonable value. I was really taken away by the vast cocktail menu and all the drinks I tried were served uniquely and delicious. The ambiance was charming, minimal, dim, and Al fresco making this a perfect summer date night spot or just a great place to go for a good time with friends or family. The service was also amazing! The place was packed but the staff was very attentive and friendly. This was my first time at PingPong but it won’t be my last! I’m excited to come back with more friends to show this place off!!“
“We live very close by and were so excited to discover we have one of the tastiest Thai spots in the city within walking distance. Only give the atmosphere 4 stars because it's a teeny tiny restaurant but it's comfortable and when the weather is nice, their patio is cute! But we typically do takeout since it's so easy and close by. The owners and everyone who works there has always been friendly and kind. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Many dishes - noodles and curry - offer a selection for the type of protein so many can be made vegetarian with choosing the option of either tofu or just vegetables.Kid-friendliness: Friendly and allowing of children. My 3 year old daughter loves the chicken satay!“
“This is our go-to Thai place in the neighborhood. Usually we do delivery but I was out and about so did a pick-up order and the place is really cute inside. Definitely a good spot for dine-in as well - we will add it to our to-do list. I really like their pad Thai with chicken - one of the better chicken preparations than I've been finding other places.“
“I ordered it for delivery! Since i live close so it was fast! I ordered crispy pork fried rice and Kai Tod Hat Yai (friend chicken with sticky rice) it was good than i expected! Lol i would recommend as I am a Thai lady! Lol new spot for Thai food! ??“
“One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! The chicken satay and Panang curry are to die for. My boyfriend has celiac and we’ve eaten here probably 50+ times and he’s never been glutened. So nice that he can eat delicious food and feel safe.Dietary restrictions: My boyfriend has celiac and we’ve probably eaten here 50+ times and he’s never been glutened, even when I order something with gluten in it for myself. It’s so nice that he can feel safe eating here!“
“The food is outrageously good and the man at the counter (guessing he is the owner) is wonderful. He’s helpful and welcoming and just a pleasure to deal with. I’m so glad I took a chance. I’ve got lots of decent Thai around me and the menu is a bit different here. Everything I’ve had has been so good.“
“Very cozy asian-style noodle spot!I ordered a beef pad thai for lunch. The food was good, but it wasn’t until I added fish sauce and chili at home where all the flavors came out and molded together! I wish I asked for the condiments in-person. The beef was more on the hard side though, I wish it was softer. The portion was bigger than I expected but was the perfect size. I would love to come back and try other noodle dishes on the menu.In terms of service, I was greeted with smiles by the hostess doubling as a server as I walked in the door. Very attentive and very kind. She knows her customers very well. The food came out quick and I was able to get a good meal in while I was in-between classes. The music was great it contributed to the ambiance. I loved the fact that I could also hear the wok sizzling in the background as they were cooking.Parking: There’s a side street that’s not paid but it’s difficult to find parking. Sheffield is paid parking.“
“Okay, I just have to write a quick review cuz the drunken noodles with beef was dynamite. Loved it. Medium spice level was a great spice level, spicy but not dragon's breath. Seriously, go to Rice and Noodles and get those drunken noodles.“
“My family, friends, and me have been coming here for about 2 years! We come here for our birthdays, celebrations, and just to find comfort, good food, and a sense of home.Armstrong is such a kind person and is always asking about our lives, and has such an intentional way of owning this restaurant. The food in itself is always so tasty and flavorful. I always recommend this place to my friends and family, as well as my clients for my job!Me and my two roommates come here when we’re happy or sad and we always leave better than how we came - Armstrong has become a dear friend to us and I can’t wait to continue our memories here!“
“My fiancee and I are here after work at Loyola, and it was DELICIOUS. I had Pad Thai, and Sue had something else (my bad for not remembering). A five minute walk north from Loyola. BYOB, and no cork fee. We will definitely be going back soon.Vegetarian options: They can make any dish vegetarian.“
“Absolutely delicious Thai food. Service was prompt and friendly. All entrees were packed full of beautiful and complex flavors. Highly recommend the boat noodles and pad Thai The interior was clean, albiet a little densely packed. Prices were a bit steep but the experience was well worth it.“
“This restaurant was very quirky and cute ! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the cute cat robot that brings you your drinks! The food itself was pretty good!I really recommend the wings and the veggie egg rolls! We also got the beef noodles and the Thai rice! The portions are big here, so if your family is like mine, you will probably have extra leftovers. I will definitely come back here again!“
“Must go for right outside of Chicago city center. Amazing rolls and soup and service. Family owned. Tons and tons of carry out orders. A well known best kept secret. Highly recommend miluwakee roll, rock n roll roll and the dynamite roll. Also the Tom yum was life saving. Highly highly “
“This place has amazing quality food that matches their service. Absolutely loved the spicy chicken Pad Thai and the basil fried rice. We also enjoyed the savory Thai Custard. The people are genuinely nice and it’s such a cute place inside. You’re going to love it!“
“This is my go to place for Pad Thai and have had delivery 3 different times. Love their pad thai each time and the crab Rangoon’s are a delicious appetizer. If you’re not familiar with Thai spice levels, know that they are spicier than western cuisine's. I order “mild plus” each time and consider myself a spice lover, so be forewarned anything above mild plus will be very spicy.“
“Rainbow Thai Cuisine Rainbow Thai Cuisine a family owned and operated business. Rainbow Thai Cuisine serves amazingly delicious authentic Thai dishes. We like to place our orders online and select Express Pickup or Delivery. Their online order service is a time saver. We enjoy their take-out options. Best of all, they are open 6-days a week. We enjoy starting with a Thai Ice Tea followed by an appetizer before we enjoy our main dish. The basil leaves beef was recommended to us by the owner. The meal service was quick and the food containers did not leak while holding the steaming food. The meat was tender, the vegetables were fresh, and the sauce had the right heat. The owners remember repeat customers. OrderRainbowThaiCuisine.…“
“One of my favorite hidden gems in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood. I originally found them via GrubHub and become one of my go to sushi places ever since. I’ve eaten in a few times and the owner is extremely nice! It’s a small contemporary place where everyone is greeted with a warm welcome. Check them out!“
“Very nice placeGreat atmosphere I very nice serviceChicken Satay superbCrab ragoon very goodPad thai beef very goodSushi great quality riceOnly Tom Yum soup to much onion and to sourYou need add some sweetenes and spiceI will be back over there for aure“
“Real Thai is the best authentic Thai food in the Chicagoland area. They have a secret Thai menu that offers items not found elsewhere. The beef tendon soup is unmatched anywhere. The tendon is like eating bone marrow, extraordinarily tender. Careful on the heat scale, 4 or 5 is pretty spicy and I make me own chilli oil with Thai red chili peppers. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.“
“I love Hello Thai so much! Their food is tasty, fresh, and most of all affordable. Some of my favorites include the fried rice, papaya salad, and crab ragoon! The service is also wonderful, the staff is so attentive and sweet. Check out their lunch special, it is such a great bang for your buck and always hits the spot.“
“I come here for the Bring It On Noodles. This is a soup that tastes like nothing I've ever had. It combines the best of Thai flavors. The soup is spicy, tangy, sweet, savory, and packed with umami flavor. All of the elements of this soup pair so well together. 10/10 for this soup that I have damn near once/week. The owner knows me well at this point. Please taste this soup!“
“This place was absolutely fantastic! We dined in and got the chive dumplings, green curry with chicken and the cashew chicken and rice. We came in with zero expectations as we were taking a walk around town when we got here and the smell alone drew us in for dinner. The service was stellar, kept joe rob the waters and super attentive but not too much at the same time. It was a very intimate spot, not much seating so if you tend to struggle with sensory issues try to come when not busy or get it to go. The food was so fresh and PACKED with flavor. Really felt like it was the warm respite we needed on a rainy evening. Highly recommend.“
“ATK is a great spot for authentic Thai food, with plenty of vegan options. Not only do they have good vegan options, but their menu makes it very clear which options are vegan. I recommend the Pad Ped!Please note that ATK is a cash-only restaurant, but they do have an ATM on-site.“
“Food was outstanding. I went at lunch time and bought the lunch special. I had Pad See Ewe and a cup of Tom Yum soup, it tasted so fresh. As you can see my plate was more than enough for two people, I had leftovers. My drink was a jasmine green tea with passion fruit. Waitress was very nice and didn’t rush me even when I came at 2 and they closed at 3. I would 100 percent come back as the food was so delicious and the staff were so kind. They even hand drew a little character on the to go bag.“
“I really loved my experience here! I ordered the fried rice and a crab & cheese (crab rangoons) and it was all very delicious. The service was really good too. I feel like places that are a smaller dining-in area can be intimidating, especially when we were the first party to be sitting in there tonight. But since we were confident and content, it really made for no big deal and there were many others who came in for dine-in/carry-out while we were there.“
“The BEST Thai! Eating here was like having a delicious, friendly and thoughtful dinner hosted by family in a cozy dining room. Sue and her sister create amazing dishes. Our daughter wasn't feeling well and is a picky eater on a good day, so Sue brought out some yummy noodles to enjoy. Cannot say enough about how delicious Panang Shrimp was. Sue is a wonderful host, will definitely return! BYO as well.Dietary restrictions: All food is made to order!Kid-friendliness: Made to order a tasty noodle dish for our picky eater :-)“
“Best Thai food in Chicago and absolutely the best workers. The friendliest people you’ll ever meet in a restaurant setting, even when they are busy. All the curry’s are delicious, and don’t forget the amazing Thai iced tea. Just go here, you won’t regret “
“Ordered on Grub Hub. Their wings (5 total pieces) were really tasty. Steamed dumplings (4 total pieces with no meat) were decent – they were a bit bready. I was pleasantly surprised with the portions of the Pad Kee Mao and Orange Chicken though! The Orange chicken was too orangey. The Pad Kee Mao (with chicken) was good and had a nice amount of veggies.“
“Absolutely delicious! We had the crab rangoons, crispy roll and pad thai, and we will be back! Employees were nice and friendly and helped us pick from the menu (since it was our first time). The place was clean and was able to seat quite a crowd.“
“This evening marks the first time I had an opportunity to visit this cozy, family owned Thai restaurant. It's an incredible value for your money ? and I decided on the Thai iced tea, jasmine rice and huge wonton dinner soup ?The staff here is extremely lovely and helpful and the setting is soothing and relaxing.Right after I finished paying a crazy, homeless man barged in here and started breaking things but the owner was very calm and lead him out the door. I've never seen something ? so crazy before in this neighborhood and I think everyone here handled the incident extremely well considering the chaos.I will definitely come back in the near future to try the other dishes and soups ?I can vouch that the food here is extremely tasty and authentic Thai.“
“Absolutely Love ? this place it’s a vibe and the Food ? is incredible for the Price, people are friendly with a mix crowed which I appreciate. However, the signage… we need a bigger Brighter sign so we can see the location at night… that would be my only recommendation ???✨“
“Food was very good and delicious. I had the Godzilla Baba! My friend had a curry. His curry came out about 10 minutes before my sushi. It was kinda awkward while he waited to start eating. The server was very friendly and nice. Very nice quiet atmosphere. Just a touch dark.“
“The ambiance, staff, and food remain exceptional. The surprise birthday celebration was highlighted by the chef. A wonderful experience nestled in an unlikely place. This is my third or fourth visit with consistency over decades.Dietary restrictions: Let staff know in advance. They were great with the lactose intolerant guest.“
“My experience at Butterfly was fantastic! Everything we ordered was vegetarian, and it was all incredibly flavorful. The service was phenomenal, and I highly recommend making a reservation, as it can get very busy on weekdays and weekends. We tried the Drunken Noodles, Penang Curry, Fire Dragon Roll Sushi, and Edamame, and everything was delicious with no complaints. It was my first time trying Thai food, and both the Drunken Noodles and the Penang Curry were phenomenal—I would definitely go back for them.“
“If my childhood was a restaurant, it would be this place. Nothing like eating fried rice surrounded by baseball memorabilia and toys with Thomas the tank engine playing on the TV (I'm not joking, it was). Service was really good and the owner was incredibly friendly. Just remember that they take CASH only, but I think they have an ATM so it's no biggie.“
“High quality Thai food. Limited menu (no pad Thai) but that doesn't detract from the offerings. Grandma's pork belly is different from your typical pork belly dish. The pork belly is cut into bitter sized pieces and deep fried. Served with the jaew sauce is really delicious. My wife loves coming for the papaya salad and Thai fried rice. The pad siew is also really well prepared here.“
